It didn’t seem complete
I just feel like it was short. I love Beto and I feel he wasn’t given a good story. I don’t like how Bubba was made to give up his child. I’m happy for Poppa and Italy. Milan’s character irked me from beginning to end yes giving up a baby is selfless when both parents agree… This wasn’t the end I expected it just seems unfinished. Book one had me and I had to just see it through.

I knew it
I knew this book was going to be some foolishness like really how slow could keka be and beto should've had a women in his life who appreciated the man he was becoming and how could Milan go through with the adoption if Bubba didn't agree couldn't he say something or sign something saying as the father I don't agree to this and wanna keep my child and then there's Italy, poppa,misa and chase just no this series should've ended at 3 and I'm a huge fan of Jah just this series is a huge NO for me

BM Drama!
I was looking forward to this last installment but I didn’t get all that I wanted from it. There wasn’t enough detail about Keka and Trell and her brother never had a sitdown with her. I hated Milan’s decesiin and to me it wasn’t fair to Bubba!

NOT A GOOD ENDING
I feel like it was rushed and the ending lacked finality. It was predictable and I felt like you’re still wondering what happened with characters. Why write a 4th book to still leave the audience wondering?

Mediocre at best
This series was long awaited, especially part 4. The book was slow and rushed at the end. I have never skipped pages of a Jahquel book, as I’ve read most of them twice. This book was unfulfilling and disconnected. It was a continuation versus a closing.

Seriously my personal opinion is that there should have only been 3 books in this series.
Ok now that i got that out the way, Lets get into my least favorite person…Milan🤬😒 she has been a royal pain in my a$$ since the beginning. First she was depressed about being blind and how nobody took her seriously and always treated her like a child because of her being blind. Then she was always in her head with different thoughts that i just skimmed over when it came to her. She finally got her vision back and she did a whole 360 and started acting like she was that B*$ch. My opinion besides her getting caught in Beto’s bed naked, her new found attitude also pushed Bubba into the arms of his assistant. Milan wanted one thing and then she wanted another. She wanted Bubba to fight for her and hound her, and all in the same token she was telling him to stay away from her and give her space. That heffa had me confused and ready to floop flop flam on her. Then she got mad when she saw Bubba and his other baby mama together (its like what do you expect him to do when he’s trying to be with you and you keep pushing him away) he do have another baby mama. I just didn’t get her. That whole adoption thing had my blood boiling because how in the heck are you going to just go through with an adoption and not take into the account of Bubba’s feelings? He should have fought tooth and nail to keep his baby girl even if he had to raise her himself. Milan didn’t want that baby to spite Bubba because he got his assistant pregnant. Like Milan’s sister Italy told her “ A baby will not keep a man or fix your relationship.”
Now down to Italy, Poppa, Misa and Chase. That whole situation with all them was messy and unnecessary. Poppa should not have pursued Italy until he got his affairs in order when it came down to his divorce. Now that there is a baby involved in their big pile of mess is what bothered me. I think Italy should have walked away instead of pressuring Poppa (in her own way) to divorce his wife. I think if Misa was serious about the whole going to marriage counseling to work on their marriage, i think Poppa should’ve at least tried, he didn’t try, he just said no and went and made a premade family with Italy. I guess they didn’t understand the assignment when Italy lost her baby and Misa was gifted a baby by her husband Poppa. Misa was not innocent in this whole ordeal either. You never let a man tell you twice that he doesn’t want you, and she let Poppa tell her a million and one times that he didn’t want her. With Chase, well im glad him and Italy can come together and co-parent in a better way, because he was the type of ninja that I would have sent my man for. Chase’s attitude towards Italy was unnecessary and disrespectful to say he put her and the kids out with no remorse and didn’t care if she had a stable place for his kids. Chase started out as trifling.
When it comes Keka, well she just slow a lil bit i think. How are you still sneaking around with Trell and you know he is a rapist and he beat you so bad that he almost took your life? its like wow, you that stupid? Then she has the nerves to be living with Beto. Thats a slap in that mans face. Beto wants to be with Keka old stupid self but she too busy running up behind Trell’s old domestic violence a$$. Just dumb is what she is. She gets what she get’s and she can’t throw a fit.
Beto, Beto, Beto (i did a long sigh) i think you should put Keka’s confused, i like to get beat on a$$ out your house, stop running behind Milan’s old depressed confused a$$ and find you a woman who would love the penitentiary out of you. You deserve happiness and you will not find it with the two yahoo’s that you have in your life now.
Last but not least, Anaya (lord i did a prayer for her and a long sigh). Now you know when you play stupid games, you when stupid prizes, right? yeah, thats exactly what you got dealing with Bubba’s a$$. You was a jump off with main Bi*ch audacity. You knew Bubba would alway put you last and put Milan confused self first. Again, you never supposed to make a man tell you twice that you was always a jump off with no other future with him. You a lil slow too!!!! Now your pregnant with twin boys and you with your girlfriend because you thought Bubba was gonna wife you😂😂😂. Lord…Jesus, Fix It🙏🏾

The ending could have been better. Why Italy and Poppa did not get married in the end after going through so much stuff. Then give Millan her sight for her give her baby up and not have a purpose for doing that besides wanting to be free, no career goals, nothing.

Great ending to a great storyline
You did that..Again!!!Everything worked out the way it should have for everyone, even the miserable ones. Milan showed the most selfless act and it made her a better person for it. Continue to put out great stories ON YOUR TIME!!

I don’t know to to describe how I feel about the ending lol. I’m glad everything worked out in a way. I was very sad she gave her baby up for adoption but I could see why she felt the need to do so. HEA on some.. others I’m SMDH 😂.Mostly drama , some spice 🌶️🌶️🌶️

great read
This was a great series! Kept me engaged! Although I understood where Milan was coming from I felt she was wrong for giving that baby up. When wanting to be grown you must accept the responsibilities and consequences of those choices.

Loved it
I can honestly say that I am proud of Milan and I don't hold it against her for giving her baby up. She knew she wasn't ready for a baby after being blind for so long and just getting her vision back. She gave her baby to someone that wanted a baby more than anything. She needed to live and find herself learn more about Milan. Glad that Misa stopped playing games with Poppa and got her mind right and started acting like a grown up. Perfect ending for the crew.

Oh wow this was not the ending I expected . I rarely leave comments but this was a twist. Mulan gave her baby away but I think she should have given the baby to the dad. He has rights too I just feel this was all wrong I really wanted to stop reading halfway through. I am not a fan of this ending.

I didn’t like the ending of this series. Italy and poppa just didn’t flow to me and I found myself not rooting for them how I normally do for the characters. He didn’t handle business to me with Misa or Italy to me. If he didn’t want his marriage he could have been left he was just as guilty as misa for how their marriage was and Italy was thrown into the mix. I did agree that milan given up her baby was selfless for the adoptive mom and the baby if she couldn’t love her right, but selfish because bubba wanted his daughter. I also didn’t get how she didn’t want her child because she wasn’t ready to be a mother, but was still going to be with bubba even though he is expecting twins. In a way you were still raising a kid only instead of one it was two. I know the twins were by someone else but if they are a couple Milan would still be raising kids, So why not keep the baby. I did love Beto and hope he gets a story and finds love.

I was really really disappointed in this last book . The serie was ok and I am being nice . I didn’t like Milan character one bit selfish for no reason she finally recover the sight and have no ambition nothing just being stuck in that stupid freedom . If she didn’t want the baby she should just have give it to Bub what kind of shit is that forcing someone to give up a baby for adoption. Keka is so ridiculous nobody is paying no attention . Well I could go on and on with Misa , Anaya. Well don’t read it

Disappointed!
The ending felt rushed! I understand everyone doesn’t always get a happy ending but in this series I felt like no one got an ending. Instead they all just matured for the last few chapters and resolved SOME issues. I enjoyed the series but feel like I was just left with a cliffhanger that I’ll never get to see the next episode of.😩

This wasnt the ending I expected
Four books just to end up disappointed. I am happy that Milan got her vision back and I understand real life not all about happy endings but the characters kept repeating the same ole song throughout the series and the ending to me was underwhelming. This was my least fav series from this author

It was a great read would like to hear about Beto and Keke love triangle
Italy and Poppa were still going strong after trails and tribulations and the ups and down of their ex-partners. Poppa treated Italy children like his own and accepted them because they were a part of her . That a real man who take the good and bad and had enough love to give to them. Milian and Bubba were trying to work out their relationship. These couples went thru alot pregnancy and cheating and trust issues. Milan had made biggest decisions she had ever made in her life. She decided to give her daughter up for adoption because she wasn't ready to be a mother yet and blessed someone who couldn't have children that was the most selfless thing she could do. Milan got her sight back she was able to get her independent back she finally cut her so-called friend Raquel. Misa decided to grant Akin his divorce she finally realized neither one of them were happy in their marriage. She decided to let him go and to a better mother to their daughter Ayla . And let Atkin be a father to his daughter. Ananya the other baby mother of Bubba twin sons who work for him it was causing conflicts in their lives when he was in love with Milan. She was bitter and need to grow up and be a good mother to her twin sons. Ananya was in love with her ex-girlfriend Tati she was denial about being lesbian. Ananya she knew Bubba was in love Milan and was sleeping with him anyway both of them got caught up. Chase and Italy were getting along to co-parenting their children and let petty past stuff go. Italy and Chase were trying to keep Trell from getting custody of their daughter Jai. Poppa whipped his tail and told him to drop the custody case Chase is the only man who is her father she knew. Beto was Bubba and Milan best friends he was in love with Keke is Bubba sister. Keke was in a abusive relationship with Trell he was a rapist she kept going back. It a frecious cycle. Beto was trying to be a good friend and support her. I would love to hear a spin-off about Beto and Keke . I’m on the fence about this one. While of course I love the book and mothers go through this all the time as far as wanting to give their baby up for adoption due to wanting to live their lives if they weren’t able to at some point. But I think about Zayne growing up finding them. For Milan, she can say she was young and you know she just wanted to live her life. However, Bubba will look like the bad guy because he can’t have that same thought because how can you give up one child and then have twins within the next couple months. How can you say you weren’t ready when you raise twins who are only months younger than your oldest child. So while Milan is saying that she is selfless, she continues to be selfish because it doesn’t sound like it was even an option for Bubba to take the baby on his own. Meanwhile, she still wants to be with Bubba. I will be curious to find out how they did after this like did they get married? Did they have other children? Could Bubba even do that or did he have resentment towards her? I can see him eventually resenting her since the baby looked just like her.

Milan dog well she wrong for trying to sleep with Beto. Beto didn't do it because he wasn't checking for Milan like that and because he knew that Bubba was in love with her. He didn't want to do that to his best friend the one who held him down until he got on his feet. Now I thought Milan was selfish for not keeping the baby, but at the same time it was selfless. She spent most of her child hood blind and most of adult hood blind too of course she going want to explore and travel. Vic is no more. Milan heart is still with Bubba. Anaya knew she was wrong about Bubba for herself knowing he's still in love with Milan. She caused her misery by going to Jamaica and being petty on the plane. Misa finally decided to give Poppa a divorce. Beto is going to be tired of Keka shoulder to cry on. If changing a man was person it Keka. Poppa and Italy is going to be alright now that Misa knows her place. Bubba and Milan is in okay place. Like she told Bubba if they meant to be, will be.

Anaya knew she was wrong about Bubba for herself knowing he's still in love with Milan. She caused her misery by going to Jamaica and being petty on the plane. Misa finally decided to give Poppa a divorce. Beto is going to be tired of Keka shoulder to cry on. If changing a man was person it Keka. Poppa and Italy is going to be alright now that Misa knows her place. Bubba and Milan is in okay place. Like she told Bubba if they meant to be, will be.

There’ was a need of MORE from every character besides Beto. Great character development with him.
Italy pissed me off. No reason why it took 4 books for Poppa to get a divorce. She never put her foot down when it came to him. Like she put up with a lot and then he got his wife pregnant after meeting her & she was ok with it?? Nawwww
Bubba had every right to feel how he felt after what Milan did.
In my opinion Milan had no right giving the baby up for adoption & the rich daddy who could give his child everything wanted the baby??? Like huh??
Italy never met the wife or poppas family besides bubba??!
For this book to have soo much kids, they were barley here or barley made an appearance. Jai had a cameo in like book 2 I think where her mouth was disrespectful but that was it.
Soo many things I can point out wrong with this series but whatever.
I will say that the author writing growth is amazing to see cause her most recent work are great reads for me. So I had high hopes for her old work but was let down.

She Ain't Never Met Another N*gga Like Me
This series was good and so well written. Jah, you did your big one. The characters were so layered with flaws and shortcomings, but human. They had real issues and challenges and strife. The entanglements were so involved and made you want to root for a happily ever after.
Bubba's love for Milan was fierce and had him all out of character. He couldn't function and get past the hurt, but he also couldn't let her go. Ananya was trifling and needed to get her life. Keka was the same knowing Beto loved her but she settled for Trell. Misa, shaking my head, finally got a clue and did what was best for her and Poppa.
Speaking of Poppa, I loved the way he loved Italy. He made it known with his actions and deeds. When he slipped, Italy corrected him, and he quickly got on track.I am very pleased how the series ended. Great job!!!!

it is well…
This series wrapped up nicely and I am so glad that we got to finally see some growth in Misa and Milan because they worked my nerve!! I get not wanting to break up, but when the cause of the break up is you I cannot understand all the antics and theatrics and I really could’ve done without her having a baby, but it wasn’t my story to tell.
As for Milan, I was so glad for her maturation and while I can only imagine how hard it must be to give your baby up I just uhhh….
Now Anaya, we’ll let her cook but she was super aggy and childish after getting exactly what she wanted. Bubba needed to grow up to and stop pointing the finger when he was responsible for plenty of the drama going on in his world.

Letting Go Is Hard
Letting go is hard, but it comes with growth!!!…There was a lot of growth with the characters in this book!!!…I loved me some Italy and Poppa!!!…Their level of maturity was top tier!!!…When Italy finally expressed herself, Poppa was all ears and made the necessary adjustments to make sure she did not feel like she was 2nd in his life or disrespected!!!…
Milan came off selfish, but that ending showed just how selfless she truly could be!!!…I don’t know how I felt about Bubba because he was all over the place and use to getting his way, but to have to give up your daughter!!!…That was tough, despite having 2 more children!!!…
I hope there is a follow up to this group of friends!!!…

Hot Mess
All four books were a hot, hot, hot mess. When is it cool to glorify a married man cheating on his wife and another woman helping a man disrespect another woman. It was hilarious when Italy got into her feelings stating she feels like a side chick and mistress…NEWS FLASH, THATS EXACTLY WHAT YOU WERE😂😂😂😂. Then in the epilogue she states GOD sent her a good man. Girl stop lying on God like that!!! God is not not sending a married man to cheat on his wife. I now Misa was not a good wife, however, a good man would have had a conversation with his wife and informed her that he wanted a divorce before cheating. Milan giving her child up for adoption made no sense, why not give the child to the father. The only character I enjoyed was Beto, hope he find true love.

Overwhelmed
I have never cried so hard from reading a book. As much as I love all the characters in this series Milan is my favorite!! She had me wanting to slap some sense into her. I watched her grow why going through some tough battles, from loosing her eyesight to gaining it back to becoming such a selfless woman. I don’t think I could ever give a child up. But knowing your not ready and providing one of God’s greatest gifts to someone who couldn’t have one lord Jahquel you opened my eyes. But I didn’t understand why she just didn’t give her to Bubba. Anywho once again you have written another book with a lesson. I can’t wait for the next one

Interesting
The story was well written but not one of the characters I liked. How is everyone so immature\ ditsy? Milan is still super selfish with her reasons for the adoption since she didn’t even offer Bubba a chance to be a single dad. It’s all about her having everything she wants. And then trying to justify it by saying she’s helping someone. Chile bye. Fathers matter too. She could’ve given her to her dad. Why couldn’t he keep his baby? Italy and Poppa was the most annoying nonsense ever. The women had nothing going on besides chasing men. No one wanted an education? A business? Let’s not go to Keka lol. It’s a good book series but whewwww.

Emotional
There was a lot of character growth. The ending was unfulfilling with a few of the story lines but I think it’s ok to have the unknown, just not what I’ve grown used to. I did wish to see Milan and Bubba grow and succeed in their relationship. She had been through so much and underneath his layers he had too. Yes she was immature in the beginning. Loved how Poppa stood on business behind Italy. The ending broke my heart for both of them. I hate that it feels like Anaya came out on top because she was petty and dirty to me. Part of me understood the adoption and it was definitely a twist but that was the part the created the most turmoil within me while reading.
