Finding Happiness and Love
This was a quick read about two disabled people who were wheelchair bound but lived fulfilling lives. The only thing missing was love and within each other, they found it.

Good book but could have done with being a bit longer to ease in to it better and have a better end rather than just stop where it did, would be great to have an epilogue done on it

"The Player" follows the life of Zooey, who is not only a skilled dealer in a Las Vegas casino, but also a passionate marathon wheelchair racer and professional poker player. Zooey's character immediately grabbed my attention, as although she was wheelchair-bound in a tragic accident at a young age and lost her family, she refuses to let the pain of the past overshadow her present and future.
One of the main strengths of this novella is that, as we get a brief glimpse into the characters' lives, we experience how it is possible to live a full life with physical limitations. The author does an excellent job of capturing the challenges of everyday life for people in wheelchairs, but also the fact that these challenges do not define them. Zooey's enthusiasm, determination and fighting spirit are inspiring.
The story truly begins with the appearance of Roddy, a handsome military veteran. He, too, lives his daily life in a wheelchair after losing his legs from the knees down due to an injury in Afghanistan. The way their relationship unfolds creates an interesting dynamic in the story and a sense of a unique bond as they both face similar challenges. The author deftly handles this topic, sensitively yet sincerely presenting the mutual understanding and affection between the two main characters.
Personally, what I found most exciting about the novel is that Zooey is completely different from me. She is extroverted, determined, and brave to face the challenges of life. I, as an introverted bookworm, particularly enjoyed this contrast as it allowed me to see the world through the eyes of a character with a completely different personality.
I would also like to point out that the book provides an excellent insight into the world of professional poker. In his book, Kris Kassady shows that the game is not just about luck, but also requires serious strategic and psychological knowledge and observation skills. The descriptions of the poker games were fascinating and instructive for me, as I knew little about the subject before.
Overall, "The Player" is a sexy novella that entertains while offering important messages about overcoming obstacles and self-acceptance. It's a light-hearted yet thoughtful story that's perfect to sink into at the end of a long day. Kris Kassady's work deserves a place among the beloved works of contemporary romantic literature.

Kris Kassady gives us another short, sexy, and steamy story. I wish it was a little longer. Zoey was a strong FMC that knew what she wanted and went for it. She accepted what she couldn’t change in her situation and made it work for her. Loved to have had a little wrap up at the end. Onto find out what tales Kris Kassady has next.

outstanding read
Original perspective - both parties wheelchair bound. Great, strong, independent, driven, and loveable characters, educational and sensitive exploration of all their interactions, beautifully erotic, and the heat level is awesome! Fascinating description of the art of poker playing.
I purchased this book on the recommendation of the author, and I wasn’t disappointed!

My glasses are fogged up from all the steam! Thank you to the Author for bringing a disabled couple to print. They have the same desires as,everyone else and get creative in the bedroom. Great story on top of all of the steamy situations.

I enjoyed Roddy and Zoey’s story. I thought it was a unique and steamy story. And was a nice change of pace. Am voluntarily leaving my review.

Fantastic story.
The story line was very informative. It opened up the wotld of the disabled. Thier challenges and victories. The love story was the icing on the cake.
