It's (About) Time!

Quick warning: don't be like me. Have that box of tissues close at hand because you will need them! This book quickly had my emotions going through the wringer and then the rinse and repeat cycle kicked in. It stayed like that until the end.

4.5 stars - The baby is coming!

“We should at least call the doctor."

“I'm fine,” she said through gritted teeth as another contraction pulsed through her body like a freaking stun gun. “Let's get to my mom's house and get this done.”

“If you're still in pain afterward were going to the hospital.”

“Okay, but…” She stared down as warmth surged down her thighs. “Harker…” She couldn’t take her eyes off her legs. She was going to have her baby…now.

Irene doesn't make a quick or simple entrance which seems apropos for Alison and Harker. It does make Harker open to listening to Ethan, of all people. 🤔

I love when they each begin seeing passed their own pig headedness to realize their truths. Even then, they take their sweet time really understanding what it means and what they can do to right the ship before it sinks.

My favorite part is when they become playful, and I'm not simply referring to their bedroom antics... although, they always seem to lead there. Hehehe.... 🔥🎉🔥

“I knew I wanted a smart woman.”

“And that you got.”

Another favorite part is the emotional and heartfelt plea that Harker makes. The tears were coursing after reading that. 😭😭 Yeah, it wasn't pretty.

This is the final book in The Billionaire's Baby quartet. This is not a standalone book. Please read the series in order. I voluntarily reviewed an Advance Reader Copy of this book.

Harker and Alison have a lot in common. Both are competitive, both are stubborn, and both are frightened of rejection. Here in the fourth of Ellis O Day's quartet, we find friends and family trying to convince our hero (Ethan and her mother) and heroine (Terry - I love Terry - her mother and aunt) to face up to their true feelings, but it's not that easy. This wonderful story, with these engaging characters, hurtles to the denouement with humour, tenderness, and frustration. Another winner. Loved it. Going to go back to the beginning and read it all the way through again.

With the baby born the contract is complete....But will they be finished or is it just the beginning

The finally arrives for Alison and Harker in Having the Baby, the fourth book in The Billionaire's Baby series. This is the continuation and finale in the story of this "couple". Harker is still wanting a real relationship with Alison and she is not completely having it. Sure they are having a baby together. But really it was a business arrangement that started this whole thing off. Yes they have a lot, and I do mean a lot, of hot, sizzling, sweaty and did I mention satisfying sex together. But really it is her out of control hormones that have made her keep jumping Harker, and he is more than happy for it. When Alison goes into labor things are difficult and Harker is even more worried about losing Alison. But sweet baby Irene finally makes her appearance so now the contract is complete. Now Harker is really going to have to work at convincing Alison that he does want a real future with her and to make a family, with more kids, and no contract in sight. There are still hurt feelings because of misunderstandings and miscommunications so will they be able to move past these or not? Harker and Alison belong together, but she is going to make him really work for it. In the end they do get a sweet and lovely HEA. A perfect ending to a wonderful story.

I really enjoyed this last book in the story of Alison and Harker. This couple has been on a Tilt-A-Whirl of a journey to get to their HEA. At times I really did not like Harker and wanted to kick some butt, but Alison was great at doing this also and not giving in to everything he wants. Their banter, snips and quips with each other have been entertaining. Then there is the amazingly hot and extra steamy passion between them. So make sure you have a box of tissue and something cool to drink because you will need both as you read this series.

[this is book 1 of a series]

One offer. One condition. One unforgettable temptation.

I don’t know what it is about the La Petite Mort series, but for some reason I am H.O.O.K.E.D.! 🫠
It all started with Six Nights of Sin: 6 Book Series, which immediately threw me into Six Weeks of Seduction: La Petite Mort Club, Book 3.
And now I just binge-listened to The Billionaire's Baby: The Complete Series (Books 1-4): La Petite Mort Club, Book 7!
I finished the full +19hrs between Saturday and Monday!? 🙃

And I don’t even like dual narration or 3rd person.
So what’s up with that!? 🤷🏼‍♀️

So all I can say is:

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ for the story by Ellis O. Day
👏👏👏👏👏 performances by Summer Morton and Robert Hatchet🎙️

My favorite quote:
"Yes." He pushed down his annoyance, reminding himself that trust took time. He'd been in a relationship with her for almost a year, but she only joined two days ago.

What it is about:
A billionaire boss propositions his brilliant employee to have his child through unconventional means, leading to a steamy romance.

My thoughts:
💋irresistible and seductive
💊unexpectedly addictive
🫂relatable characters
🎙️excellent dual narration
💯recommend
🤣I initially thought his last name was Barker, but that got clarified with the launch of Harker's Barker Meter

What you need to know:
📚interconnected series
👥dual POV, 3rd person
⌛️short chapters
🫠he falls first, he falls harder
⛓️sex club La Petite Mort Club
❤️HEA (in book 4)

Harker and Alison still frustrated the living daylights out of me, but finally they’re able to communicate their true feelings and needs in a way that the other is able to hear and understand. It’s that understanding part that really tripped them up. They were both so caught up in their heads in their beliefs of what their relationship was and wasn’t that they had both gotten so invested in being right and winning. In the previous books I was all in with Team Alison, but after getting hit with a couple of the truths her family laid on her here, I was a lot more Team Harker than I had ever been. This is the ending I needed to this series.

Nothing is ever simple with these two characters so it should be no surprise that the delivery took over 30 hours. Harker is beyond ecstatic that his daughter, Irene, is finally born. But then he's devastated when he gets served with divorce papers. Is all lost for this couple? Or will they be able to find a way to remain together?

I loved how Alison and Harker's friends rallied around Harker to try and help him keep fighting for his relationship with Alison. In the meantime, Terry (Alison's lawyer), Estelle (Alison's mom) and Aunt Tiff talk with her and give her food for thought. It's been a long journey for these two and I've been rooting for them to find their HEA. You will experience a range of emotions in this conclusion to their story.

I loved this series so much and I am sad that it is over but what a journey to happy ever after. The first half of the book was so sad but thank goodness for Ethan and Alison’s mom and aunt. Estelle was amazing in the way she dealt with Alison and her aunt gave her a few home truths. Ethan explained things so that Harker finally understood. Harker’s letter nearly destroyed me it was so beautiful and then the ending was so hot and sexy it will burn up the pages. I think this is my favourite series so far, it made me laugh and made me cry and it made me feel good what more could a reader want.

We finally get to the ending of Alison and Harker's story. Alison finally has the baby and the contract is done, or is it. I enjoyed how their feelings and hopes about their relationship finally get revealed through help from some close people. It makes me view their actions in a different way and makes me feel that I finally see the people that they really are. I am so happy that Alison and Harker finally get their happy ever after and hope we see more of this couple in some future stories from the author. I really recommend this whole series. Such a good read!

What a conclusion to this romance. I thought this series was so entertaining, and this book in particular was so emotional. We finally get to the root of Harker and Alison, which made me re-think of who I thought was always in the wrong. Alison and Harker have quite the chemistry together and do they ever sizzle when they are together. These books are such a great addition to my library!

Allison is finally having their baby. Harker and Allison are still living together and fighting constantly. Harker still wants to be a family with Allison and their baby but Allison refuses to give them a chance. I was so glad to see Allison's aunt and mom give her some hard truths. Harker may have used manipulation but Allison was also to blame for their problems. Despite the fighting Allison can't deny the intense connection between them. Will Harker be able to convince Allison to stay or will she walk away? Definitely recommend!

loved it (and all the ones before.)

This is the ultimate ‘Enemies to Lovers’ series. It works really well and I love the protagonists. I don’t love the way it’s sold in bits and pieces, with what is basically one novel chopped into four books each sold separately. But I still loved the story, so there’s that.

Overall the books were great but I don't think it needed to be a series of 4 books specially with the ending happening almost 80% towards the end of the 4th book then it just drops off. Very disappointed at the ending.

Yes! Yes! Yes!

The conclusion of Harker and Alison’s story is just what I would have it to be!! They both recognize what their relationship is and what they want from each other. Once they are willing to admit how they feel things come together and I get my HEA!!!

Of all the books by this author, I think this couple seemed the least likely to get their happy ending. But their strife comes with everything great about a tortured love story. Enjoy the laughs, tears, despair, and joy of their spicy journey.

Hot, hot, hot!!!

Loved this series and will read it again. Love is so complicated, and unnecessarily so. But it adds a bit of spice to life!!

The baby almost did both of them in. They were not sleeping at all. But they learned to work it together.
