The truth will set you free.
For FBI Agent Blake Wilder the price of that truth requires the ultimate sacrifice.

Blake Wilder lives with reoccurring nightmares from her grim and mysterious past.
Fourteen years ago, her entire family was taken from her.
Her parents murdered, and her sister taken.
At the age of 22, Blake joined the FBI in hopes of one day discovering the truth behind the mysteries of her own past.

Since joining the Bureau, Blake has witnessed and solved many gruesome and terrible cases. Yet, the one case that changed the course of her life seems to have a way of evading the light.
When a new clue about her past is uncovered, and she finds that the sister she lost hope in ever finding might be alive. For the first time, Blake feels hopeful.

But with the organization that murdered her parents after her, and powerful figures aligning against her. Blake has only one choice, to face her trauma and the monsters head on.
As she’s dealing with that, SPD Deputy Chief Torres is on a warpath, seemingly willing to stop at nothing to indict Blake for murder.
And with a new enemy entering the ring—one who is more dangerous than everybody else. The Đavole. A mysterious assassin who is legendary and has never failed to eliminate a target.
The only question is… Who is he in town to kill?

With more questions than answers about her sister’s return from the dead and a host of enemies at the gates looking to destroy her career or outright kill her, Blake doesn’t know where to turn, or who she can turn to.

With so many uncertainties in the air.
The only thing Blake can be certain of is that there is no where that’s safe when you're being hunted down by monsters.

There’s no where left to run. No where left to hide.
You just have to do whatever it takes to survive.

It's just too much

## I loved this series in the beginning. Blake is interesting, a good investigator, tough yet fair. So many authors write female law enforcement as jerks. Not so here, and I really love that. Blake has compassion and a strong moral code. The crime drama investigations in each book are fun to follow along with and Blake's team is very cool. HOWEVER, the things happening in Blake's life are becoming increasingly ridiculous. The congresswoman throwing her under the bus trying to hold her accountable for a raid which resulted in 29 murders which of course we, the readers, know is untrue. Chief Torres framing her for 2 murders which we again know is untrue. Her boyfriend of several years betrayed her and was inserted into her life to keep her from finding out the truth about her parents. Her sister who was kidnapped 18 years ago suddenly appears but she could be a plant as well, because she won't say where she has been all this time. And let's not forget the group "Thirteen" who keeps sending people to kill her! This is preposterous. I can't read another book about her being blamed for more and more crap. I'm done with this series. Frankly, now it's just exhausting.

Excellent!

My favorite by Elle Gray so far! It's great to finally meet Blake's sister, and there is some very powerful delving into political corruption - fictional, of course! Real-world politicians would never be that evil. Would they? Um...

Also, the editing in this book is the best in any of the books by Ms. Gray that I've read so far.

Can't seem to put this series down!

The Lost Sister is the 7th book in the Blake Wilder series. Blake has been hunting for the truth about her parents murder for years. At the time her younger sister was abducted as well. She is narrowing the field and the close she gets the more her life is in danger. This one is fast paced and full of suspense from beginning till the end.

Action, Suspense, & Excitement

Great action, suspense & plot twists!! This was the most exciting book so far! Everything came for Blake at once & with her sister & friends she overcame it all! I can't wait to see what comes next.

I did NOT read the Kindle edition, I bought it in paperback. This is not the end of the series, I already have the first in the next series.

Elle is just a wonderfully gifted writer, this series has been great fun and this was a great finale. Blake is finally reunited with her missing sister, Kit, who was taken when their parents were murdered many years earlier. It does go a bit above and beyond in the end when an SSA of a three person team, in an off the books investigation, takes down a LOT of Senators, Congresspersons and many others which stretches the imagination to the limit. However, the buildup is a reasonable investigation, thoroughly documented and the idea of a cabal like the Thirteen existing isn't out of reach. At all.

What I enjoyed most was the reuniting of the sisters, Blake's fears for what had happened to Kit were not realized, at least not in the way she thought. Kit was trained (in the manner of Hanna) to be an elite assassin, she's been in Seattle for a year because she refused an assignment to kill her sister. She, too, managed to gather an enormous amount of intelligence and evidence during her stint as killer for the richest and most amoral among us. I do admit the plot stretches credulity in that it revolves around a cabal that murdered three Supreme Court Justices in order to install three who would rule in their favor on issues that would benefit them financially. I mean the "bad guys" here are heinously evil. Not saying that isn't true but this level is, I hope, impossible. Still as a story it works. The sisters develop a relationship, finally deciding to trust each other and work together. Kit, though, then leaves, ostensibly to protect Blake because a kill order still exists for Kit and while they got most of the bad guys, they didn't get them all, certainly missed the biggest one of all who is still hunting Kit.

It was a very good series by a very talented author. I'm looking forward to reading whatever she does next beginning with the eighth book in this series and continuing with the new one she's developed and the Pax Arrington books as well. Kudos to her for her hard work and perseverance in getting her work out to an audience, a group I hope grows fast, she's well worth the time.

📚 No Spoiler Book Review: “The Lost Sister” by Elle Gray 📚 🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟

Diving into “The Lost Sister” was like embarking on a mesmerizing journey into the unknown. This gripping tale weaves an intricate web of emotions, mysteries, and familial bonds that kept me on the edge of my seat from start to finish.

Elle Gray’s narrative prowess shines through the vividly crafted characters and the detailed, atmospheric settings, drawing readers deep into the heart of the story. The protagonist’s journey of self-discovery and the complexities of sisterhood resonated profoundly, evoking a rollercoaster of emotions - from heartwarming moments to shocking revelations that left me breathless.

The plot’s twists and turns were masterfully executed, keeping me guessing at every turn. The pacing was perfect, propelling the narrative forward while allowing the characters’ depth to unfold seamlessly. Gray’s eloquent prose and evocative descriptions painted a vivid picture, making the story come alive in my imagination.

“The Lost Sister” is not merely a story; it’s an experience that lingers long after the final page. It’s a testament to the power of familial ties, self-discovery, and the resilience of the human spirit.

📖 In conclusion: I highly recommend this book to anyone seeking a gripping, emotionally charged, and beautifully written narrative that delves deep into the complexities of family and identity. This is a literary gem that deserves a spot on every reader’s shelf!

Amazing, detailed and intriguing series!

Absolutely have fallen in love with this series! If you read and enjoyed Leslie Wolfe(Kay Sharp and Tess Winnett) or Wendy Dranfield(Madison Harper) then this is a series for you!! You will definitely appreciate the individual novels as well as the over arching storylines

I enjoy series that have an overarching storyline as well as individual cases. Too many crime thriller series make it to where you can read them out of order and it feels harder to connect to the characters.

This one has truly only gotten better as I continue to read it. I also notice that Paxton has a separate series for him with connecting characters! Love that!

Despite some of the crimes being intense, Elle Gray manages to cover heavy topics without becoming too graphic and triggering. I can’t say enough good things about this series and author.

Gary also does not shy away from being realistic about the government and law enforcement. Even if Blake Wilder is a hero, it is clear that not everyone in law enforcement, or even the majority, are always doing the right thing.

Thank you for writing this series and showing compassion for all types of humanity. It is not black and white where anyone who commits a crime is the villain and anyone in law enforcement is a hero. This is not just a crime series, but a reflection of the human mind good, bad, and difficult.

A fantastic thriller!

So.... little sister is back, she has a lot of secrets of her own, and it's certainly going to be a wild ride. SSA Blake Wilder is beyond thrilled that her sister is back after having been abducted as a child. However, after everything that she's been through, the lies, secrets, and betrayals, she's having a difficult time accepting her return. Everything seems to be amping up, especially the number of enemies that Blake has against her. Will her little sister be another enemy, or will she be the saving grace that Blake needs? You'll have to read this to find out.
I would highly suggest that you read this series from the beginning. Most of the books have a specific case that is completed in that story, but there is an ongoing secondary plot that continues throughout the series. It will give you a better understanding of the characters, connections, status of that investigation, and the dynamics between all of the different players by reading this from the start. They're all fantastic stories, and you certainly won't be disappointed.
I would definitely recommend this book, series, and outstanding author.

By far my favorite book of the series so far!!! This book’s plot takes a turn from the usual structure as the sole focus isn’t a CDAU case - we fully dive into Kit being back in Blake’s life, Blake’s beef with Torres and her investigation into The Thirteen. I thought it was well written and Kit’s storyline was thrilling, keeping me on edge. I’m glad she finally opened up to Blake about what happened to her after she was abducted. It was an interesting storyline that kept me thoroughly entertained! I will admit, I did suspect some of what happened to Kit, but there were also some twists I didn’t expect! Grey’s typical storylines don’t have many suspenseful twists and turns, so this was a nice surprise

Spoilers below! 👇🏻👇🏻👇🏻

To say I’m disappointed Kit isn’t the Ðevolé would be an understatement. I would’ve bet good money she was this legendary assassin! I wasn’t surprised to find out she is indeed an assassin, but working against the thirteen from the inside!?! A great twist I did not expect! I liked the climatic fight scene between Kit and the Ðevolé, I’ll admit it is a bit “tom Clancy” ( as Blake suggests) but I still liked it! This plot line felt luke a real turning point for the series!

Wow, this is the 7th in the series about FBI Blake Wilder. These just keep getting better and better. This one was action at every page.

Blake is still on the case of The Thirteen which involves killings of a politic nature. This involves Supreme Court Judges, and Senators. At the same time, she has a case going about a woman that is killing patients in hospitals and her sister that has been missing for over 18 years has showed up.

But as happy as Blake as to see her sister, can she trust that this is really Kit. Kit is staying with her, but Blake is having a hard time with trust. Could Kit be involved with The Thirteen case, could she be the assassin, The Davole, that has been hired to kill Blake?

This is just a thriller from page one to the ending and I loved it. Can't wait until we read about Blake and her crew again!!

I have 2 authors that have really grabbed me.

Just to let some words flow here. Ellie, I’m very impressed in how you grab my emotions. From my caption, you are one of the two authors I am talking about.
I love the way you make me think and try to figure out for myself. I love this part of your stories. You find a way to really grab my heart through out story. I rally love authors that can pull me in to place of belonging. To be able to feel tike I’m there with the characters and in the story myself. Very gripping and for me always wanting to find out more, of what I’m getting all ready. It’s like, more, more and bring me more.
At the same the unsuspecting twists you throw in there are great.
I love being able to read and choose my books by looking for the author. Thank you.

Questions Answered

This book answers a lot of questions. I like this series. However, I am tired of Blake ignoring her FBI training, for instance, her life being threatened but yet she goes for a nighttime jog alone in a park all while chiding herself about feeling like she is being stalked, only to get jumped. Blake keeps getting beat up and hearing her bones crack but doesn't go to the hospital or tell her boss? She's worried about her friend's protection but not her aunt or cousin? She kept talking to Torres after her boss said no. The biggest issue I have is Blake sharing who her sources are even though she has doubts about the person she is talking to. 2 deaths because of her loose lips that she seems to be oblivious about causing. She keeps saying, "Don't trust anyone," then she blabs.

The Lost Sister (book 7)

I have read every book in this series, so far, and I can’t put the books down. They are so thrilling! However, I do have a problem with the way Blake is always attacked. She always gets beaten up badly quite a bit. It is really ridiculous that she never gets to use her gun. She has so many people trying to kill her and she takes ridiculous chances and never shoots anyone. Stop having her being beat up all the time and her gun knocked out of her hand. Let her shoot some people instead of always getting hurt and never using her weapon. It is getting too monotonous!

Enjoyment.....

Ms Grey, I have enjoyed the two series you have written about Blake Wilder and Pax Arrington respectively!
They are both great series. My hope is for you to write more about Blake and Pax (yes, we are on a first name basis), Blake's sister Kit, Blake's FBI team, The Thirteen, Pax and his PI team and anything or anyone worlds you wish to throw in with them. Oh, and Detective Lee.
I recommend both series to those who like Mystery Series.
Thanks you and happy writing! 🙋🏼‍♀️ 💕 📚 🖊 📗 🖋 📚 💕

Bittersweet but oh so satisfying read

Finally almost all the pieces in Blake’s life coalesce. Unfortunately, evil like cancer will multiply if the entire malignancy isn’t eradicated. This adventure was as fast paced and suspenseful as the other books in this series. I started out this series with a Kindle Unlimited borrowed book and have since moved over to buy it now. This author tells a great story with great characters and deserves to be rewarded for her efforts. Thank You Ms Elle Gray!

Good story but..

The editing was really bad. There were tons of typos and grammatical errors. The story also had some plot holes, like the sudden appearance of all the missing videos after the climax. I’m also unsure how a lot of other things worked out since there was no explanation or situation shown to the reader, it was all just filled in but when no time had passed. Very confusing. This wasn’t my favorite Blake Wilder book, by far.

Best Mystery Crime Series in a Long While!

This series of books is a wonderful read about a smart,hard-hitting agent out to hit criminals wherever her team finds them. She’s searching for her parent’s (also FBI agents) murderers, even in circles of the wealthiest politicians on earth. And she has the brains and teamwork to find and take them down! Fast paced and well written by Elle Gray- a wonderful new writer…will be reading more of this series and others she writes!!!

Could They Trust?

This was a very interesting story. All the questioning about Blakes sister wondering where she was over the almost 20 year, was she part of the Thirteen, was she here to kill Blake. In the end they grew to trust each other and destroyed part of the Thirteen. But there were more so what were the Thirteen going to do? All the questions I had have not been answered yet.

Blake Wilder FBI Mystery Thriller

I'm not very good at reviewing books. Describing plots & main characters isn't easy without giving too much away. What I can say is that I have enjoyed books 1-7 in Elle Gray's Blake Wilder series. I look forward to the rest of the books in this series. I've also read her Sweetwater Falls series. If you're looking for a quick read and enjoy FBI thrillers, try her books. They won't disappoint. 😊

Love this Series

The main character Blake is a seasoned FBI agent who has a secret past she is trying to escape. Start at the beginning of the series. Well worth it. There are lapses in how everything is resolved in different cases but I am more about the story rather than knowing how the court system works so this is a plus in my mind. I'm enjoying the series and am looking forward to the next book.

Frustrating

As I continue this series I am becoming increasingly frustrated with Blake. She , unnecessarily, puts herself in dangerous situation which in turn endangers others. Her explosive temper would not be tolerated in her profession and detracts from her character. Also her repeated drifting off, mentally, during dangerous situations is annoying. I read the author's other series about Olivia and rated every book a 4 or 5. I struggle to give this a 3.

What a writer!

Seems like every time a new Elle Gray book is released it is a whole day of sitting in my reading chair and failure to do anything else. This Blake Wilder series is intense, an escape and a fight for all things right. Enjoy that the diverse team is headed by a very strong willed determined woman who is trying her best to beat corruption. Keep 'em coming.

Awesome!

I have read all 7 Blake Wilder series, reading one after the other as they are that good. I am glad I hadn't read Elle Gray before these 7 as waiting for booking 8 to come out is agonizing. She is an awesome writer and I look forward to reading more books by her. Keep writing and those of us waiting with baited breath will be eager to keep on reading.

Excellent reading!

The Blake Wilder series was a real ride. Each book had an interesting villain brought to justice with an unanswered problem left to keep you reading the next book. This final book wraps up everything but still leaves a lead in to another series. I now have to start another series! Well done!!

Can't say enough about how great this story turned out, to take these characters that think they are above the law, some even part of it, was so good! I am however sadden by Kit leaving again by understand why, I can only hope that she and Blake can put and end to the Thirteen in the next book so they can finally be a family.

Absolutely brilliant!

The stories get better each time. Unlike some series that stagnate and repeat a formula, Elle produces magic every time. I love the cross-over characters from her other series, too. She does all this without unnecessary language or sex, but there's more than a threat of violence. Well done!

Finally

So glad she finally found her sister. Enjoyed this one more than others, thought they would be together longer. Guess she'll just go on worrying about her sister . Glad she was at least a good girl makes Blake feel better. Leaves her always waiting for her to return. Guess we'll move on to next one. Would recommend

Another part of Blake Wilder series I couldn’t put down. It just keeps getting better. The story line changes but comes right back to the fact that Blake is good at her job and now with Kit back in the picture it is bound to get better. On to the next in the series. (The Missing Woman). BTW finished The Lost Sister in two days. Keep them coming Elle!!
