WOOHOO! It’s Cain’s turn,and i couldn’t wait to see the ancient a**hole incubus being taught a lesson or two.
Luckily, i’ve got the ARC,and don’t have to wait until juli 28th to find out how and by who….
Tam is part of a very select group of witches that has lived for a very long time.
The group is getting smaller,though…someone is killing them,taking their magic from them as they die.
And knowing who it is,Tam knows she’s next….unless she can find another way to go.
Without giving the killer her magic.
Now who could help her do that?
He’d have to be old enough,hence strong enough,to do the job….
The only one she can think of,is the oldest incubus alive,Cain.
Doesn’t matter that she doesn’t like him,to put it mildly.
Only problem is,there’s more to him than meets the eye, once she starts to pay close attention….
Hearing he has to babysit the witch that manages to resist him at every turn,doesn’t make Cain a happy incubus.
Finding out she wants him to kill her,as in really kill her?
That makes him think of a hell of an offer….
If Tam begs him to keep her,and means it,thén he’ll kill her.
Only,the more time they spend together,the more he starts to think she put a spell on him….
Because he starts to care,and that’s not something he does….ever!
In the meantime,the killer gets closer to his ultimate goal,and Tam isn’t as safe as she should be….
Will he succeed,or will Cain find his defiant witch in time to save her soul?
I só enjoyed Tam and Cain’s story!
Even though Tam was in danger,i enjoyed the way they grew closer while Cain kept her safe.
Even though they both fought the attraction until it was almost too late...
They really were a perfect match,and i couldn’t help,but love them both in the end.

This is the fourth book in the Fated Mates series and we finally get Tam and Cain's story! Tam is a witch and has been alive for a long time thanks to a ritual that her and a few others performed a long time ago. When the people from that group start dying with their powers stripped, Tam knows it won't be long until she is up. Cain is the oldest incubus alive and has the power to help Tam but the two of them have a combustible relationship.
When the two of them are thrown together, more happens than they ever bargained for and their futures may be happier than they think. Can Cain save Tam and her soul? Can Tam accept Cain for who he is...asshole and all? Will the two of them take down the enemy after Tam?
I really enjoyed Tam and Cain. They were perfect for each other and I loved their banter. I would have liked a little more epilogue from them but overall a solid story!

This is a great story. I wasn't sure what I would think. I wasn't a fan of Cain going into this book. I liked the premise, he is "the Cain", as in his brother is Abel. Cain is the very first succubus and their leader. In book two we also met Tamara as the best friend of the heroine Anna. All we know about Tamara is that she is a witch. In this book, we learn that Tamara is much more than your standard witch.
Tamara is a "cycler". She and her coven of witches performed a ritual to become immortal. When their current life ends, they are "reborn" into a twelve-year-old body with all their memories intact. They only way for her to truly die is to be killed by another cycler or a really old magic user. When her old coven leader and former lover has gone power hungry and is killing all the other cyclers and coming after her. She goes to Cain hoping that he can drain her completely so that she can die permanently this time.
Cain has been charged by the other of the other preternaturals to keep Tamara safe, because if Jack finds her and absorbs her power, he could be unstoppable.
I really liked the aspect of the conflict between Jack and the rest. I also liked the aspect of how everyone works together. We get to go back to spend time with many of the previous characters, which I really enjoyed.
Overall, I'm really enjoying this series. The characters are great and I enjoy the world that is built around them. If you haven't tried this series yet, I highly recommend giving it a try. I can't wait to see where the author takes us on the next book.

Ok you win Kitty , I officially love Cain !!!
This series is like a fun park , every book is a different roller coaster , and you are never quite sure what might happen at the end of the ride.
I thought Cain was a complete A hole in Luc’s book , but then he went and showed his true self in Z & Fiona’s book, now in his own book he meets his match.
It was strange in Luc & Anna’s book I really didn’t like Tam , and in this book it flipped , I really didn’t like Anna. These two need some lessons in how to be a BFF coz they clearly don’t get it.
While this is a dark story about how Tam came to be a 2000 year old witch, the banter between her and Cain adds a lot of fun , and considering he was never going to mate with anyone other than one who can be his equal, it lightens what could of been a very dark story.
Again Kitty does an amazing job of blending in the lore of this world into the story , slowly the whole series is building to what I’m sure will be an amazing climax….(Cain will love that)
This is my new fav book from the series , I love how so many of the characters from the other books still play a key part of hunting down the evil witch killing off all the cyclers.

This was a wild ride! One of the things that was especially interesting was that you realize that some of our heroes from previous books in the series are enemies of each other, and that all comes out here. That mind switch is further complicated as you still see the good in them as they interact with their mates but they like to fight with each other. As do our two main characters, though they make up with lots of sizzling sexiness. Seriously, they like to throw energy and fire balls at each other. Witches and demons are natural polar opposites, mostly because the former can do things to the latter, but the attraction between Tam and Cain from their first meeting can’t be denied. Enemies to lovers, forced proximity (in a demon dimension), and a stalker who is after her heart, literally, made for an invigorating and sexy read 😊

Tamara and Cain 🖤 This series is absolute fire 🔥 Each book keeps getting better and better 💙 I love this storyline and the characters so much ♥️ We met Tamara and Cain in Book 2. Tam is Anna’s best friend, and Cain is Luc’s brother. Anna and Luc are fated mates 😍 Tam is a powerful and amazing witch, and Cain is a total hot baddie 🖤 He is the King of the Underworld and unstoppable!! If loving Cain is wrong, then you DEFINITELY don’t want to be right 🥰 Cain and Tam are absolutely perfect for each other ♥️ She definitely doesn’t back down when it comes to him. He finds he likes it, and their back and forth banter is so fun and amazing to read!! It’s very entertaining and leaves you very much wanting more!!!

Bad Magic is the fourth great installment in this series of PNR from Kitty Thomas. I love that each book is stand alone in this series but still gives us bits and pieces of past characters so we can see the overall world still developing around each story. I love how deep it gets but is still self contained enough for any reader to jump in at any point and still enjoy the story. Its an art not every author can manage.
This time we return to Cain, who I was not a fan of previously, but man was I wrong. Seeing more of him just makes me love him, and I enjoyed his and Tam's story immensely. I loved the back and forth between them, and I was hooked to see how things developed until the very end. Another great book of Kitty's I highly recommend!

Sigh…Ok. I’m gonna say it. I love Tam!!! I love her strength, her passion and her compassion. What a woman!!!
Well, I didn’t think it was possible, but each book in this series just keeps getting better and better as I continue to read them. That’s not usually the case with serial books for me. I’m actually mad at myself for not knowing about this series earlier. Geez.
Cain is like, the God of all demons. That’s the best way to describe him, other than he’s an incubus…duh. He literally spends his days feeding off woman to survive. Settling down has never crossed his mind in the 8 thousand years he’s been alive. So why is this witch (of all beings), causing him to think the unthinkable?
Tam isn’t your ordinary witch. Nope. She’s actually 2 thousand years old and human. How? Well, that gets described in the book and I have to say that it’s pretty clever. So let’s call her a cycler. Cycling through lives can become extremely lonely. It’s hard to make and keep friendships and lovers. You’re just…existing. Now that her cycling years may be up for good, is she really ready or is she thinking about sticking around for a little while longer? Doesn’t hurt that the demon is a hot distraction. But then what?
I’m starting to sound like a broken record, but this one’s my favorite so far. I honestly fell in love with Tam and her being…. Her. The banner, hatred, lust and overall chemistry between Tam and Cain is worth every page turned. Sigh…these two make me smile.

Bad Magic so far was my favorite in the series. This book is Cain and Tam's story. I really fell for Cain in this book. After living for 8,000 years and doing what he does he never wanted a mate and he despised what his brother Luc found with Anna and more than that he despised witches for what happened to him. Tam is a witch and one who has bested him more than once which makes him despise her more. He is tasked to keep her safe in his realm for the time being.
I really enjoyed the banter between these two. Tam does not back down from Cain which intrigues him. Can Cain and Tam keep their growing feelings for one another secret from each other or can these feelings be their saving grace? We read about other characters in the book trying to hunt the threat and there is a plot twist you won't see coming😮!! I highly recommend reading this series!!!

BTW I love that Kitty Thomas has brought together vampires, demons, witches, warlocks, sorcerers, panthers, werewolves, werecats, although she says she is a Therian, not a werecat.
They are all coming together to fight for one common goal and that is to catch Jack the Ripper, he’s back! Jack could become unstoppable if he were to kill any more of the cyclers. Cain, a demon, has been tasked with protecting Tam in his dimension.
I think I said in a review for a different book in this series that I thought that book was the best. What I do think is that as the story builds and there are more characters that the stories just keep getting better.

This is my favorite book so far in the series. I love Cain even though I want to hate him. There is something about him that gets under my skin. I love that Tam is so strong and eager to stand up to him. The snark between the two of them is awesome. Honestly I would have loved a longer book for them. I feel like they weren't done fighting quite yet. I realize I'll see them again in future books but these two really stole my heart. Their relationship is hilarious and special and unexpected. I feel like this book really does the series justice. I'll be looking forward to glimpses of them in the rest of the series.

What can I say, I'm a sucker for an anti-hero so I was really looking forward to Cain's story and it didn't disappoint. The succubus finally finds his match in an immortal and powerful witch. Tam is being hunted by her former lover and leader of her coven who is on quite the power trip. Cain is the only one she can turn to for help. But will the succubus kill her or keep her? This was a great enemies to lovers PNR. Tam and Cain are very well matched and I adored their banter and their unlikely love story. If bad boys who will burn down the world to save the one they love is your thing, this is a definite must read!

I had forgotten how much I love this book and Cain's story. No one can reform an evil a**hole and make me fall in love with him like Kitty. Of course we have our previous characters popping up and some new ones that aren't so nice. Anna is still a bit naive and whiny but she is improving. Tam's story is intriguing and I loved learning about the Cyclers. There are several spicy moments but nothing too detailed so I'd give it about 3 spicy peppers and there is an abundance of humor and witty banter between Tam and Cain along with Tam and several others. I just love her! Highly recommend this series, I think this is my favorite book from it though.

I’ve been waiting for Cain’s book since I got my first glimpse of him in the 1st book. I didn’t even know if he was getting a book but I had hoped. I love a good anti-hero. Cain did not disappoint. He’s loyal to only his people but rules them with an iron fist. I mean, how else does one control demons. He meets his match in Tam. If you’ve read book 2 then you know she’s Anna’s best friend. They both have so many more layers than we first realize and I enjoyed seeing behind each one. This is my favorite of the series so far!

My favorite book of the series so far, and also my favorite two characters. Cain is such a delicious bad guy and Tam is a kick ass and take names witch. It was fun to see them each trying to get the upper hand, all the while doing their best to pretend that there weren't any actual feelings involved. They are such a great couple. All the characters from the previous books were in here and the story line is progressing nicely. It will be interesting to see how this all winds up, for sure. Ready to dive into the next book.

I knew Tam and Cain were going to end up together I loved it! They were such an odd but perfectly matched couple! As always I enjoyed seeing the other characters especially Anna and Luc. It's fun to see how all the characters are interconnected. Tam's back story is so interesting and the craziness that ensues in this book made me unable to put the book down! I couldn't wait to find out how things were going to end. Another great book in this series.

A cycler witch and the first succubus - Cain and Tam are just soooo YUMS! Tam, what a sad lonely life she has led. To live, to die, then reborn on endless repeat. Now members of her coven are actually dying. She turns to Cain for help, for him to kill her before her former lover kills her. Instead he is now protecting her. After 8000 years, Cain wasn’t looking for someone in his life. My how things have changed. He’s the one character in the series that I didn’t like and now he gets his own story. Sigh And what a story it is! Hot sparks definitely fly between them. Honestly, what is there not to love about this book, and I can guarantee whatever you feel about Cain before you’ll be singing a different tune now.
For the record, you CAN read the books in the Fated Mate series as standalones. *Drums fingers and rolls eyes* But why would you want to each store brings back previous characters you just can’t get enough of. Plus, it’s such a great series, one worth reading over and over.

OMG I love Cain, started off this series hating him very strongly, but now I get why he was the way he was. Cain the king of the underworld is an unforgiving demon. Tam, a witch, is REALLY good at what she does because she’s had a lot of practice. There story is very unconventional. She’s the bestie of Anna (Luc’s mate) and Cain is the brother of Luc (Anna’s mate). This is truly an enemies to lovers romance. They both have great reason to hate each other, which only makes their banter and courtship that more interesting. I honestly could have read about them for another 5 hours, because they are both just that interesting. I loved every page of their back and forth and I can’t wait to read it again. I’ll end this review by saying its a definite must read. I can’t say more because I’d hate to spoil the book for anyone, but it really is THAT GOOD.

I'm not going to lie. After reading the 2nd book in the series I didn't like Cain much at all. But when you finally got to see in the 3rd book why he is the way he is I was excited to see his story.
Tamara was such a complex character, but you didn't realize how much until this book. They both end up complementing each other. They have a very interesting story. And they each practice the trick or avoidance of how they feel.
I really liked how things ended up for both of them. Especially for Tam, because she had a lot more loneliness then she let people see. And the overall story in the series gets a bit more clear.

FANTASTIC as Always 😁
I've been reading this series for a while now and loved each and every character 😍. Each book shows so much pain and hope, but it still takes the characters a long time to work it out 😄. Thanks again Kitty and Zoe, y'all are Awesome writers and I look forward to reading more of this series 🤓.

I’m just lovin’ this series!! And each one sucks me in more then the last. I love that you get characters from the others around. I love Cain (even if I don’t want to sometimes lol). And I love Tam. Just love all around!
