Such an exciting series! Gahhhh!! I need the next installment!

Soo while I love Portia Moore this was probably my least favorite out of all her books. There did not seem to be any kind of plot, the book was anticlimactic and extremely redundant. The entire book consisted of Rain whining about how bad her life is and the reasons she cannot do anything to change it over and over and over with Vincent being absolutely horrible to her in-between and when you think he cannot get worse he does… really hoping the last book ends with a bang…but disappointed in this one

POSSIBLE SPOILER ALERT!
So I’ve just finished the book and OH MY ACTUAL GOD!!!!!!! I thought I had no words after book one but this one tops it!!! I don’t want to spoiler alert but i don’t think I have ever hated a book character more thank I have hated Vincent! He makes my skin crawl, I can not wait for the next book I NEED TO KNOW THE ENDING. Unbelievable writing again from the two authors. I feel i want to jump in the pages and pull Rain out and protect her. I prey for a good ending because i genuinely had every emotion going in this book and i just want her to be okay. I LOVE ZACH! what an absolute babe. Once again brilliant writing, read in less that 24 hours. would give more than 5 stars if i could!!

What can I say other than Omg WOW I'm so hooked on this series I wish Sept would hurry up so that I can read rest.. I cant stand Vincent I've never not liked a character from book as much as I do him, hes evil. I really hope Zach and Rain her their happy ending.

If you want a book hangover we’ll read this series….. Rain meets Vincent and it is older man and age gap love… but wait… Rain gave her heart away a long time ago to Zack. This series has it all… love, mafia, and second chance at love. Please know there could be triggers for people of violence and sexual abuse.

Portia and M James have done it again! What an intense storyline! Don’t want to give away any spoilers, but this book continues the story of Rain, Vincent and Zach— and boy does the plot thicken! Cannot wait to see how it all unfolds.

This story should have ended in book 2. It's annoying how it was dragged out. I enjoyed book one, I dislike the villain with all of my heart, I feel sorry for the heroine, even though she had been judged by most readers. Her story is similar to a lot of girls and young women in Africa, who are subjected to an abusive relationship as a means to an end.
Her story is similar to my mother's story, so I can relate and look forward to how her story gets better in the last book in the series.

I loved the first book, but honestly I think she's dragged this series out too long and the drama just got too exhausting and repetitive, spread out over four books. Yes - I've read Fallen and what a disappointment. Rain is way too forgiving, to the point of being a doormat, which I loathe in my heroines. Her sister never even got a slap on the wrist for all the horrendous shit she pulled (which enraged me) and no way the Mafia is going to let her have a HEA the way the book presented it. Two books would have plenty for this crew.
