“MAY THE RIVER CROW DIE THE DEATH OF A WITCH.” I’m not so different from everyone else…just kidding, I’m very different
I’m Roxy Crow, the youngest of the three infamous Blood Crow sisters. The craziest of the bunch...well, I was until Drac Hound and all his tattoos of glory came along, stealing the crown of lunacy right off my head.
Meeting Drac was bittersweet.
He was everything I hated and everything my coal little heart wanted. Wait, is it coal or cold? Meh, you get what I mean.
Drac is a selfish, broody, thunder stealing, bad boy.
It’s always the bad ones who ruin your world, and Drac Hound, a Vincula Hellhound, burned my world to the ground in mere moments.
But then his past comes to claim his life and chain him in the bowels of hell… Nothing will stand in my way as I unleash a wrath that’ll make the devil himself weep.
When ominous and twisted notes begin to show up with my name on them, my sister’s vision of my impending death starts to seem unavoidable. But I’m a true Blood Crow, the fiercest of all vampires, what can a mere mortal do to me that I can not repay tenfold?
But these modern humans are not a pitchfork wielding mob; no, they’re much much worse. With the technology of today, surviving requires more than strength. It’s going to take savage determination, no matter the deals or alliances I must make to change the uncertain future for me and Drac.
But one thing is certain, I am Roxy Crow, the craziest of them all.
I will survive no matter who or what stands in my way.
"But you are what you are. Embrace it and feed your desires."
River Crow is book 2 in the series and needs to be read after Blood Crow, which was one of my favorite pnr reads of last year, so I was excited to get my hands on this.
This story follows Roxy Crow, the craziest out of the sisters and Drac Hound who has the energy to match her. The banter between these two is hilarious in parts which adds another element to the story.
"Life has never been easy, but I make it fun."
With her sisters vision of the future, what's to come for Roxy seems unavoidable. How are the humans pulling this off and who is it behind it all?
The story is full of action, banter, kick ass supernatural characters, a lil comedy and suspense and some sexy times of course. I'm loving this series so far and with one more book to come it's not over yet!
I knew I was going to love Roxy’s story but I was still blown away. Roxy and Drac — Draxy — are so freaking unhinged and it’s EVERYTHING. Like a vampire x hellhound version of Joker and Harley, only better. This book is just as action packed as the first, and even wittier which I didn’t think was possible. With the tension and sadness woven in, I was absolutely hooked from the beginning.
Off I go to beg V. to write part 3 because I will be crying until I get Rory’s story too.
This is book two of the Crow sisters series and it follows the youngest of the Crows, Roxy, also notoriously known as the “River Crow.” Along with her mate, the youngest of the Hellhound brothers, Drac.
I don’t know how else to put into words how much I loved this installment of the series. Roxy is her own brand of crazy, but she is also sassy, witty, fun, so freaking hilarious, and loves just as fiercely. As for Drac, he too is his own brand of insane, but he too has a soft side. A side that cares and loves just as hard, but only towards her. Their love for each other is all consuming and intoxicating.
Other than the fun and comedic side of the story, we’re able to delve deep into their world and and learn more about the youngest siblings. Despite their pasts that tend to haunt them every now and then, they learn to heal with each other. Accepting every bit of of who they are, not wanting to change one another. This book also talks about real life issues and the dark and depraved side of humanity.
The series keeps getting better with each book and I can not wait for the eldest of the Crows and Hellhound siblings story. (Especially after that ending…🥴) V.Domino’s story telling and writing is just brilliant. I can not get enough. You are your own brand of genius, V.
Let me end this review with one of my favorite quotes from the book. This is for you, V, “neque vitam sine te.” 🖤
River Crow is the second book of the series and is AMAZING!!
Roxy Crow's story is everything, and you can feel the desire she has for Drac, who moves everything to find her; their love is insanely strong, and at the same time, this story is funny. V Domino did a fantastic job writing this book. I'm obsessed, and I cannot wait for the next book. I highly recommend it!!
River Crow is book 2 in this series and needs to be read after Blood Crow this book was so good it’s dark it’s suspenseful full of action and steam I loved some of the banter between the characters I found myself giggling through some of it this was a really good story and I can’t wait for more from this author!
English Although the first book in the series wasn’t my favorite, I was intrigued by how Roxy's story would develop, which did not disappoint.
Continuing how the previous book ended, the book focuses on Roxy and Drac's relationship, as well as what the future holds for them according to a vision. I loved Roxy's personality and how fun she was, I mean she even made a couple's name: 'Draxy'. Together they are crazy, I liked the comic theme of the book, it reminded me of horror movies from the 90's.
The story is full of action (well executed), incredible supernatural characters/beings, an incredible world, and of course, amazing chemistry. I thought it was a very good continuation of the series in terms of plot and the relationship of the characters. PERFECTION.

I really liked reading Blood Crow so I was excited to read River Crow and reunite with the Crow sisters and Hound brothers. First of all, supernatural romance isn't my favourite genre but the author writes it very well. Then, I loved the song listed at the beginning of each chapter - it helped getting in the right mood. Roxy's and Drac's personalities were exactly liked I had imagined them. Plus the dual point of view was really interesting and allowed for a better understanding of the two main characters. The story was a bit slow paced (in the beginning) in my opinion but was also entertaining, fun and angsty. Please note that some heavy topics were hinted, mentioned and/or talked about so this should be taken into account before reading.
