Wow

Ok so 1st I'm going to spoil this book. I really fell for the book then 25% into it I was just disappointed. I see why girls don't learn from their first mistake not using condoms. At least with Jonathan it was love and they were together. This thing with Jaxson it just feels like a young teen mom enjoying her youth and sleeping with a guy who clearly still tells Alessia he still with his girlfriend. So Alessia is the other woman totally irresponsible and she has a kid for crying out loud. Then she's knocked up too with Jaxson's kid. OH Come On!! can we try to make Alessia a little bit more responsible adult. She's more like a slut, more like a 7-11 open all night. This just ruined the whole book, I read through it and yeah this book should be called "irresponsible mother finds her mate" (please be advised the MC has no self worth) and ladies this book reflects on how sad we as woman are and how easily we just open our legs. I would of preferred the MC to have a back bone and put her daughter 1st especially since she's human and can't really feel how strong the mate bond really is. This just was just a sad pathetic way to go about a story. It would of been better if she didn't get pregnant and continued on with the story. I had a feeling that Becca was being a hypocrite with the whole mate thing they promised each other. So just my opinion. Not really a fan of the story but it could of been good without the added baby.

Sounds like it’s another terrible Wattpad book on KU.

Finally I have finished it and have changed my mind. I will not read this again. It was interesting till first half and then it went downhill really fast. Especially towards the second half of the book when it felt that the author was some teenager. The story line got over the top. The heroine became some sort of unbeatable character with super powers and what not. The hero looked pathetic in front of her. He seemed to be second.. no fourth now in the hierarchy of powers/ status in the pack. He is alpha for god sake. What happened to his status? The fact that she is obsessed with the evil OW is really childish. Many plot holes btw. What happened to her parents? She became a werewolf, had two kids with a werewolf and she has not contacted her parents at all during all this time? The power getting to her head was really not attractive trait in her. Her trying to make people bow to her and bending their will by mind control was really over the top for me. The author gave her too much power in my opinion.

Hero cheated on heroine with the OW and he cheated on OW with the heroine. Heroine started as the other woman as he was already in a relationship with OW (Becca) but she turned out to be real hero since she is his mate. He rejected her for OW, treated OW better. The bat scene was great. Scenes like that in this novel make me suspect the age of author. They seemed too immature albiet entertaining.

Its mind boggling how hard the author tried to make the heroine "queen" and the alpha hero went at the back of the line. He who grew up as a werewolf and an alpha was streamlined by this novice werewolf who turned queen and starting ruling everything with no experience or history with werewolves.. wow!!!

Her Rejection
By Christina Marie

When the love of Alessia's life dies in a car accident her best friend Jessica is there for her every step of the way. From Jonathan's death, to the moment she finds out she's pregnant with his baby, to finishing college and beyond.

When they finish college Jessica invites Alessia to move back home with her. Not wanting to separate from Jessica she happily agrees to go. What Alessia doesn't know is that Jessica and her 'family' are werewolves.

When Alessia meets Jessica's brother for the first time there's something between them she doesn't understand. She tries to tell herself it doesn't matter because Jaxson is with a longtime girlfriend. When Becca gets pregnant Jaxson chooses her over Alessia. (Just so you are aware there is When Alessia discovers she's also pregnant by Jaxson and that everyone knew she was Jaxson's mate except her she's done with it all and has to decide whether she can handle staying after those she's come to trust have lied to her repeatedly or whether it's time to take her daughter Alena and leave for good.

I really enjoyed most of the story. The first 1/3 of the book I had a hard time getting into it. I didn’t like the style of writing at all. After that point the style seemed to change more and more and I was able to get into it much better. Another part that bugged me was that the color of the text kept going back and forth from gray to white. (I use the dark theme because white pages give me a massive headache.)

The book was in multiple POV. Mostly Alessia's, Jaxson's, and Jessica's. The angst level is on the high side of medium and it's because Jaxson keeps making ALL the wrong decisions.

I'm not sure if this is the author's first book and couldn't pay for good editing but it is riddled with so many grammatical errors makes for very hard reading. There's a good storyline in there somewhere but really needs some cleaning up. After the tenth time of hearing the same problem between the main characters I had to stop. Yes, the female lead is a strong, independent woman but she kept falling back to the same nonsense over and over. Shit or get off the pot. I don't know if they get their HEA, there were too many chapters and not enough story.

Poor writing

The writing in this book is rough. You'll find a lot of edits missing, and the writing itself is very juvenile and basic. The most well written parts of the spicy scenes but every sentence is very matter of fact. "I answered the phone. I placed the phone in my bag. I then went to get dressed. I put on a T-shirt, with ripped jeans, and ankle boots.". It's a lot like that. The descriptions aren't very there and the character development is nonexistent. The story-line was not very captivating either. It just didn't really flow or make sense and the main character was acting like a 12 year old girl instead of the 20 something mom she's being portrayed as. And some major life things were missing for sure. Like having a daughter is an after thought to the story. The pregnancy and labor and delivery was clearly written by someone that has no clue about either and has just watched 90s rom coms with a pregnancy trope.

I will never understand why people make the main character the best of everything. Best fighter , queen of wolves , etc . I dreaded this book . Beyond the typos there was just soooo much . And god everyone was a cry baby in this book she cried majority of the book and laid on her bed . I just don’t understand how it just has so many good reviews when it’s like a teenager wrote it . And it was way longer than it needed to be .

It was a good story the lack of contractions drove me nuts! There were a few discrepancies in the story that were conflicting. The one I remember at the top of my head is that she wasn’t a wolf and said she had a heat and there was another one after that but I can’t remember what it was.

It could of been a tad shorter a bit too much of I need to stay with Becca…

I’ll read the sequel, it intrigued me enough.

I couldn't put it down

This book is great. It's very easy to follow and hard to put down. I read it in a day. There are a few errors here and there, but for the authors very first book, I'm very impressed. Errors can easily be fixed, which I know she's working on. It's definitely worth the read. I can't wait for the release of the next book in the series!

😐

The storyline/plot is typical rejection premise. It was interesting but I felt like something was missing….. I didn’t like the flow of the narrative when it started. Some of the thing were repetitive. It has great promise and I liked the FMC. She was strong. I think some of the things need to be rewritten and have a better flow. It got a little better towards the end.

Good book...until it wasn't

I really like about 75% of the book. Then, Spoiler alert....

She came into power for no reason and became a nasty power-hungry entitled SOB.

There was no need for her to get power and be queen. It made no sense with the rest of the plot.
I ended up not being able to finish it. I hated not to, but I couldn't handle her anymore.

Good

This is a good story, had some grammatical errors but it didn't take away from the plot or the depth that the characters had. So much growth, and just enough pettiness, but sometimes to the point of aarrgghh'ness. Very nice story and would definitely read again. Now I'm wondering if this is a series. I hope so.

Needs editing.

The story started out strong but felt rushed towards the end. Some plot points need polishing. There are a lot of typos and grammatical errors that made reading this book a struggle.

Hum

The beginning started out boring and I didnt hold out for much hope and jumped more than a few pages and there were more than a few typos, gramer and gender issues made but if you can get through that it's actually pretty good. I'm not to sure about reading part 2.
