Alpha Wolf
I came here with a single goal in mind. An aim. A purpose.
I will break out of Darkmore Penitentiary.
But I was a fool to think that it would be so simple. And now with more and more Fae relying on me to get them out of this slice of hell, I find myself unable to do a damn thing.
Mason Cain stabbed me in the back and left me to rot in the dark. So now I have another goal in mind before I escape this place, because no one messes with the Queen of the Oscura Clan and lives to tell the tale. The moment I get out of this place, my sights will be set on him.
Between the four alpha males luring me in, the psychopaths trying to kill me and the monster roaming the halls at night, I have my hands full in here.
But one thing is for sure. I’m not throwing my life away in this place.
So I’ll do whatever it takes to escape.

Well, that heated up a few thousand degrees!
We are still in Darkmore penitentiary, and our badass alpha moon wolf Queen is still trying to break herself and her growing he harem out! Things are getting really interesting guys, the spice in this book is definitely "new" as far as other twisted sister books that I have read so far and I gotta say I'm not mad at it!! This book is really funny and has a lot of action I still haven't managed to connect emotionally with some characters, but I am still really loving this series so far.
Just some thoughts:
Rosalie- she's perfect, no notes. I love her.
Ethan- He is just super charming and sexy and so funny, if only he would just pull the trigger already and give in to what Rosa is asking him for. I totally love him though. Definitely a favorite. His dynamic with Sin is so funny, (hide and seek) if you know you know. 😂😜
Caine- I am coming around on my vampy guard but I need more character development to connect with him. (that shower scene tho!)
Roary- He is so sweet also he is so damn BORING! I don't get it tbh, there is like zero heat between him and Rosalie for me, but she is so infatuated, and he is doing the whole " I am not good enough for you noble bs dance" which is such a mood killer dude!
SIN WILDER!- He is just the star of the show. He is so funny and chaotic and sexy and he is legit a lunatic but oddly he is also the most devoted to Rosalie and the one that's unconditionally in love with her. My absolute favorite character. 🥰
Also, I think the whole Hastings thing is going to blow up in Rosa's face.
Can't wait to continue bc of course cliffhanger. 💙💙💙

Alpha Wolf picks up three months after the end of Caged Wolf. Rosalie has spent those three months locked in the hole, thanks to Cain, and now that she is finally out, she needs to move on with her escape plan as soon as possible. Because of the mayhem that happened with the Belorian at the end of the first book, new security measures have been and are also about to be implemented, meaning that Rosalie’s job got even harder, and she only has a few weeks before her plan is not possible anymore.
Even though I knew that Rosalie and her crew would not be able to escape the prison in this book, because there are at least 2 more books to this series, but mostly because by now, I am used to the Twisted Sisters’ twisted plot twists, I was still anxious to see how things would go for them. Sin is unpredictable and that makes him a liability at times, and Cain is also a wild card, he doesn’t want to hurt Rosalie, but he has such strong beliefs when it comes to the inmates, that there is no way he would let them escape. I am happy with the way things turned out. Sure, they are still stuck in Darkmore, but the dynamic changed so the next book with have a different pace and it shouldn’t be too repetitive.
Rosalie is still a great female lead, probably one of my favorites from the Solaria universe. She is strong, driven, resilient, and vindictive at times, but she always keeps her goal in mind and she knows when to fight and when to let it slide. I loved her when she was 14 in the Ruthless Boys series, and she keeps on showing how great of a character she is in this series.
Roary was a little disappointing in this book, mostly because I found him a little boring at times. His thoughts about Rosalie are running around in circles for most of the book, and it got repetitive quickly. Also, while I like his charisma and strong, quiet presence, he has almost no interaction with the other characters. One thing that I ADORED from the Ruthless Boys series is how the guys would interact together and slowly build bonds, I am missing this aspect here.
Although Sin is the crazy one, Cain is the wild card in this series. He is still attracted to Rosalie and he craves her blood, but he also doesn’t trust her and is very determined to figure out what she’s up to and make sure that no one escapes the prison. I am pretty sure that he will come around eventually and become a part of the reverse harem, but I am curious to see how things will play out between Rosalie and him, but also between him and the other members of the harem. He had his reason not to trust Rosalie and to want to get rid of her by sending her to the hole, but I don’t think he’s done enough groveling yet. He still has some work to do to earn Rosalie’s forgiveness, just as she still has work to do to earn back his trust.
Sin shows his unhinged side even more in this book, but he also shows a sweet side when he is with Rosalie. He stole the show, seriously. He made me smile so many times with his impulsive, reckless decisions that seemed to have no logic, but then you could see that he was trying to help in his weird way when you read his chapters. I also loved how he tries to interact with the other inmates, mostly Ethan, and how he seems to have no clue about social rules, or just doesn’t give a shit about it. The way he kept lying to Ethan to trick him into doing whatever he wanted was also pretty funny.
Ethan had a tough time in this book. He was struggling at first with being forced apart from his mate, and when she was finally back from the hole, she gave him kind of an ultimatum: either he admitted to everyone that she was his mate, or he stayed away from her because she didn’t want to be his dirty secret. A part of me was disappointed by him at first, but at the same time, his situation added some angst to the book and I can’t complain about that. He came through in the end though, and I am eager to see him strengthen his bond with Rosalie in the next book.
Also, I looooooove the way he calls her “love”. Nothing more to say about it.
I need to give a special mention to Busty Esme who’s a real trooper, willing to do anything for her alpha, to poor Hastings who’s going to end up stuck in the middle of this shit show even though he's a sweet sweet guy, and to plunger who is weirdly funny in his disgusting way, but he did make me smile.
I can’t wait to pick up the third book, and while I am really enjoying this addictive series, I know I will regret my decision to start it now when I reach the end of the third book and have to wait for the fourth one.

Ignoring social customs was one of the biggest weapons against society I’d ever learned to wield. If people thought you were deranged, they stayed the fuck away. Being unpredictable made me terrifying, even to guys who were bigger and stronger than me.

Gosh this was frustrating.
From Roary's pity party to soooooo much Prison Break copycat and unnecessary smut in all the wrong moments and Rosalie's use of stronzo left and right.
Ethan and Sin got me through the book honestly.
And I respect Cain way too much for his self-consciousness at this point.
And the ending, well as predictable as it should be, actually made me want to read book 3.
Otherwise. no character development, no originality or depth to the plot even with all the elements, and 496 pages of nothing.

Rosalie has been stuck in isolation for the past 3 months. Cain said it would only be a month, but as you can see he is a liar liar mcliar face.
Roary, Ethan, and Sin are going crazy without her. Even Cain, yes that Cain, is having regrets.
But don't worry.
Rosalie is not someone you can just push around and she will be back with more determination than ever.
Let's just hope they can all get along long enough to complete the original plan.

I love legit every single one of these people. Excluding the side assholes obviously.
Again, Rosalie is a badass and every single on the main characters in this book can get it.

- Fairytales have legit never made me laugh as hard as they have here

I think I changed my rating like 3 times. But I decided to go low because I skimmed so much of it. Again this series just seems like the exact same as book one with little progress minus one good part that I was excited about but otherwise I just pushed through to finish it..

Dnf at 70%
I liked this first book but this one is just too long and repetitive. I got bored, its similar to the first book, nothing really happens and the relationship between Rosalie and the guys dont progress much. Its too boring. Its like from book 1 i am waiting for Rosalie to break out of the jail, this is book 2 about 400 pages and she still doesnt do anything. Its just them going back to cell, talking, fucking and fighting.

This is definitely my favourite reverse harem books from these authors! I loved the plot and characters! Rosalie is a complete badass! Ethan is probably still my favourite! Didn't love this as much as the first book as it felt slow at times but I can't wait for the next book!

This was my most anticipated and FAVOURITE book of this year and I just knew it would be bc MASON FUCKING CAIN is what dreams are made of. He’s my favourite Solarian Fae man. He’s the one you love to hate and the one you hate to love.
That Devil teeth brute stole the show and that shower scene was everything. I repeat EVERYTHING. 🤤
I need him to be okay. I will curse the moon, the stars and the celestial authors if my Cain baby doesn’t end up happy with Rosalie by the end of this series. 🙏🏽

Sin had me cracking up throughout this book. He’s the gift that keeps on giving “Blue balls was my name and raging hard ons was the game”- He’s freaking hilarious. The fact that he shamelessly used Ethan’s ass as his personal hidey hole had me dying... And I really want to know the story behind the strong milkman’s asshole?! *Raises eyebrow*
I was glad that Roary and Ethan finally had the balls to Fae up and be what Rosalie needed. It was long overdue and frustrating asf watching them behave like indecisive fucktards. Scratch that - Ethan has a little more redeeming to do before he deserves Rosalie.

This was my most anticipated and FAVOURITE book of this year and I just knew it would be bc MASON FUCKING CAIN is what dreams are made of. He’s my favourite Solarian Fae man. He’s the one you love to hate and the one you hate to love.
That Devil teeth brute stole the show and that shower scene was everything. I repeat EVERYTHING. 🤤

Sin had me cracking up throughout this book. He’s the gift that keeps on giving “Blue balls was my name and raging hard ons was the game”- He’s freaking hilarious. The fact that he shamelessly used Ethan’s ass as his personal hidey hole had me dying... And I really want to know the story behind the strong milkman’s asshole?! *Raises eyebrow*
I was glad that Roary and Ethan finally had the balls to Fae up and be what Rosalie needed. It was long overdue and frustrating asf watching them behave like indecisive fucktards. Scratch that - Ethan has a little more redeeming to do before he deserves Rosalie.

Typical followup book of a series. The authors just lifted and shifted the same character types from Dark Fae into this series (Leon = Sin, Ryder = Cain, Dante = Ethan, Gabriel = Roary). Yawn.

Alpha Wolf focuses on Rosalie and her merry band of men whilst they plot an escape. It sounded so far fetched and crazy that I knew they had no chance! I wasn't disappointed. Disaster follows and poor Rosalie is left red faced after all her carefully laid plans fall to ruin 🤣🤣🤣
Can't wait to see how she attempts to turn this disaster into triumph 🤣

Book 2 of Darkmore is everything I’ve been missing in my life. Susanne and Caroline’s books always make me laugh (while beating my heart into a bloody, pulpy mess) but Darkmore takes the cake. No wait, we don’t talk about cake anymore. Takes the ice cream. Ugh! No! You know what, forget it.
It’s incredible how a book where our MCs are stuck in a horrible prison can have so many laugh out loud moments. Every Sin scene, chef’s kiss-perfection. Freaking Sin. He’s a crazy ass mofo and so freaking funny. Let’s not forget he’s also broken inside which makes him hot as hell (no we don’t need to examine why I feel that way). Ethan, I’m kind of mad at him, but I can get over it. Roary, I love you. I need him to have his happy ending. Cain, (narrows eyes) he’s on my sh*t list… except I really can’t stay mad cause he’s pretty damaged, too (see earlier note re: damaged guys). And Rosalie, she’s totally badass. For all the times I’ve read a wimpy MC who I wished would fight back, would have the comebacks and shove it back in the faces of their tormenter, Rosalie makes up for it. She is strong, tough, and still loving.
A few other notes, Gustard needs to die a horrible, painful death. Plunger is disgusting. Also, so many Easter Eggs littered throughout the story teasing us about ZA and RF. Like, WTF happened? So cruel to dangle these little carrots! I can’t wait to see what comes next for the Daring Anacondas, wink.

I'm over Rosalie (not as much as Elise just yet). She acts so tough at times, and then just completely immature and childish. The overconfidence of her being an alpha isn't working for me. Or at least it's not coming through the pages well.

I still love Ethan. And I'm glad Roary finally had his moment, cause God he was killing me for a good portion of this book.
I will continue pushing on through these books, because I'm very deep into this universe and I love the easter eggs. Hopefully the next one will be better.

Wowwweeeeee that was INSANE! 🤯 Rosalie has firmly secured herself in a spot with my favorite main characters! She is an absolute badass and seeing more of her personality and her genius mind at work was amazing. Of course, I’m also a sucker for all these men and was pleasantly surprised by how much I actually came to like Cain in this! This book was incredibly action packed with tons of the spice we know and love from our twisted sisters. 🥵 The ending, of course, was a whirlwind but the cliffhanger wasn’t *too* terrible, considering some of the other books haha! I’m excited to delved right into the next one!

Does it get any better than this
538 pages of pure bliss.
If you haven’t read this series yet I don’t know what you’re waiting for!
If you’ve read Zodiac Academy then you’ll be familiar with the world this is built in and know some of the history but it is absolutely not a necessity to pick this series up. Zodiac was a totally different kettle of fish, a high school bullymance with a murder mystery. (I didn’t even finish it)
But this my lovelies is a prison break out with grown up characters and a FMC who is the very definition of a boss.
Girl is so Alpha its the stuff of dreams.
Every character, from the alpha males to the secondary mole shifters.. have such a presence and individuality.
That being said there were two stand out favourites (aside from Rosa herself) and they are worthy of praise.
Sin
He stole every scene he was written in.
Hilarious and crazy of course he’s a favourite
“Who didn't like a guy who was so f***ing terrifying that they just did whatever the f*** they wanted and no one dared complain?”
that pretty much sums up every readers obsession with Alpha characters. Throw in adash whole heap of crazy and you’re all set for entertainment value.
Plunger
I don’t think he’s intended to be a favourite but he was so ridiculously funny in his disgustingness I can’t help but love him.
"Why the f*** are you naked?" he demanded. "It's how I express my inner crea-tiv-it-ai," he said innocently. "I need to be free of clothes when I paint, it is my way, sir."
The escape from prison has a deadline now and the tension does build. The escape plant is stepped up instead it being more about battling for dominance, Rosa is already the top of the food chain so it does slow in that regard. Still the “authentic prison” feel to it even if the inmates are magical fae shifters, it just feels gritty and dangerous.
Prison is my new addiction and I’m glad to see so many authors jumping on the trend in RH. It’s like an Academy setting in a twisted way. Change dorms for cells, teachers for guards and cafeteria for a mess hall... basically the same but more dangerous and gritty.
Even if you didn’t like Zodiac Academy I would highly recommend this series.

okay so in every serie I have a favorite character, and in DP it is with any doubt sin fucking wilder. I love this man so fucking much I can’t!!!! he is that type of character that you instantly love. and he is also very fucking funny. I pissed my pants at least 30 times.
and then there was that chapter where he walked rosalie back to her cell because “that is wat good dates do”…… this man has my heart 🥺
AND THE PIERCINGS ON HIS DINGELING???!!!!! YES DADDY.
but the moment roary FINALLY declared his love for rosalie to her…. STAWP IT 🥺🥺🥺🥺🥺 this moment was my favorite in this book!!!
okay so last but not least. let’s have a moment for that chapter with sin & ethan in the medical unit after sin attacked ethan in the shower looking like rosalie. I laughed so fucking hard that the coffee I was drinking came out of my nose. 🤣🤣🤣 sin & ethan are that type of duo that you didn’t think you needed but you do!!!!

All three of these stars went to the boys because oh my god Rosalie gets on my nerves way too much. She made reading this a CHORE. Is she supposed to be this unlikeable? Or is it really just me???
The amount of repetitiveness in this book is wild. I mean they said things that they said in book one verbatim! And Roary’s pity party for 1 was giving me a slight ick.

These sisters have done it again. I am not even that surprised considering for every cliffhanger we are dealt with, the next book comes back with a vengeance!!
The book picks up exactly where Caged Wolf finished off! You are not going to want to miss ebook 2 of the series. It is such a wonderful story.
I love Ethan and Rosalie. You get a strong, intelligent woman along with a hot alpha wolf hero. But you also have her childhood Lion love, Roary Night, her Incubus, Sin, and of course, the stronzo Vampire Guard, Mason Cain.
Will they all finally get their happily ever after in Book 3?

Cliffhanger ending. 2 stars This book was unnecessary filler.
The romance is lacking & the manufactured drama is becoming tiresome.
Seems the only H’s who is honest & behaves in line with his interest is Sin "the crazy incubus". Go figure 🤷🏻♀️. I enjoyed all the mischief he caused around the prison & with Ethan. “Put this up your ass” 😂 💀
The vampire Cain stayed annoying the full length of the book. He runs hot & cold. His being a guard makes it all the more complicated. He comes across immature. However he must make up for his attitude with his looks bc both Sin & Rosalie are attracted to him.
The werewolf Ethan was a coward most the book. He communicated his interest but refused to out the mate mark. Rosalie rightfully refused to be his dirty secret & made her demands they go public clear. Towards the end he reveals his plans to publicly commit outside of Darkmore prison. He plans to follow in the footsteps of a certain 🐍 & ex Lunar King.
Roary was misguided & fighting his romantic interest for Rosalee. His excuse? He has been friends with her cousin Dante since childhood & has self worth issues stemming from his stay in Darkmore prison.
Two foiled attempts at freedom & a possible kidnapped guard (Cain) later & the story is losing momentum. Ending it in a cliffhanger was annoying bc ultimately it meant nothing was accomplished to move the plot forward.
I'm undecided if i will continue to book 3. I can say with certainty I'm not as excited for this series as i was after book 1.

By the stars, this series is the moon and I’m Seth Capella 🌚 I think I could talk about it for days and days. And annoy everybody with the same details over and over again 👀
Rosalie is easily one of my favorite FMCs to date. And when I grow up I want to be her. In some ways she reminds me of Aelin from Throne of Glass, unapologetically herself. The guys have my heart too but I got to say that for 2/3 of this book honestly… Sin! His kind of crazy was on point 😁 Or Roary if I was reading his POV. Not surprising. Roar has been one of my favorites since Ruthless Boys 😎
Having Dante and Leon back - even if just for a couple of scenes - was the cherry on top and if we get more of them later on, I might lose it completely 🙈

What an ending! I was at the edge of my seat for the last 15% of this book. 😳😳😳
I can't wait to read Feral Wolf, because I'm so curious as to how this will play out with Cain and everyone but I'm also dreading the famous heartwrenching cliffhanger Feral Wolf has. Rosa is still a baddie in this book but she is starting to show a little bit of a vulnerable side with being Ethan's, Roary's and Cain's dirty little secret. She is absolutely hilarious in the group therapy lessons and also with her constant bedazzling of the choir boy and taunting Cain. She is just savage and I can't wait for her to let her guard down and fell in love.
Now, my biggest pal Roary was at the beginning of this book still refusing his attraction and connection to Rosa and wanting to be the adult in the situation but it didn't last long and they were flirting with each other and planning their future every chance they got. I melted at his proclamation at the end of the book and my heart stopped when he was missing for a moment. He is dazzling with not wanting to use his Charisma but enjoying Rosa brushing his hair (in the first book which is absolutely the sign that he loved her even then) and loving Rosa feeding him. I also crack up at the jokes he tells Officer Lyle. His and Rosa's friendship, love and connection are absolutely magnificent and when they finally get intimate? I AM GONE. 🔥
Sin is an absolute wild ride. He is obsessed with the Belorian monster, his lemons and Rosa. You can tell he didn't ever have anyone caring for him and wanting him for who he is and not his shapeshifting powers and Rosa just likes him for being Sin. I adore how he is trying dating for Rosa with faeflies, and the monstrous creature he created on their second date. He is the one who is up for sharing her and is building a relationship with Ethan and Roary. His chapters are the ones that crack me up the most and he and Rosa are explosive (borderline dangerous) together. His piercings??? Delicious!
Ethan is stilly a whiny bitch and I just want him to figure his shit out and find a way to stop hurting Rosa by hiding her. However, he is quite sweet with letting Sin stuff anything up his butt for Rosa and the threesome they had with Sin and Rosa showed he would do anything for her even if that's sharing her. I need him to get his head in the game and just be a good little sub for Rosa and maybe a dom for Sin? HOT AF.
Lastly, Mason Cain. It feels like he realised he made a mistake with putting Rosa in isolation and knowing about her past. He is conflicted in this book but the fiery sexual connection he and Rosa have is so visible in their interactions and he is caring for her so much. But, what absolutely did me in was their first sex. Talk about absolutely EXPLOSIVE and HOT and STEAMY and just YUM! 🥵️🥵️🥵️
The interactions the main characters have with each other are getting better and better and I live for those moments in the book. Alpha Wolf had quicker pacing, more fun, smut and even a little fluff and I enjoyed it better than the first book overall, for which I'm glad because I adore these characters. Again, the little bits of information about ZA and RB and the hints as to how it probably turned out were fabulous. Also, Rosa mentioning her previous threesome with two Heirs and the tattoo she saw reminding her of Caleb, who she considers a friend! My face hurts from smiling. On the other hand, I was devastated for Claud, he had a wife and a kid waiting for him, Roary loved him and he was the number one fan of Roary with Rosa. 😭

I can't wait to read Feral Wolf, because I'm so curious as to how this will play out with Cain and everyone but I'm also dreading the famous heartwrenching cliffhanger Feral Wolf has. Rosa is still a baddie in this book but she is starting to show a little bit of a vulnerable side with being Ethan's, Roary's and Cain's dirty little secret. She is absolutely hilarious in the group therapy lessons and also with her constant bedazzling of the choir boy and taunting Cain. She is just savage and I can't wait for her to let her guard down and fell in love.

Oh, this series is so much better than Ruthless Boys! I'm enjoying the setting and world we're in, and I love the characters. I'm loving that we don't change PoV too quickly and get to sit with the characters and the story.
I think I could read this entire book from Sin's PoV. He may be one of my favourite Twisted Sister characters EVER.

Okay ladies, keep it up. The romance side of this book was top notch. As always, they can't just have a happily ever after or everything go right, these characters get put through the wringer. I did feel like it got a little slow there in this one, and was hoping for a bit more plot advancement but I am beyond excited to see where the relationships go and how this resolves in the next two books!

What a magical (literally) man he is. I love him. This series has slowly started to grow on me. I'm enjoying Rosa more and the guys are definitely winning me over.
I'm curious to see how these relationships sort themselves out and manage to somewhat work together in the future.
I'm enjoying reading in the suggested order to get the full easter egg affect. It's certainly fun getting little bits and pieces about the other series! Genuinely looking forward to jumping into the next book!

Alliances are created and a plan is formed to escape Darkmore Penitentiary.
Rosalie has her moments of getting hot and heavy with multiple guys in her life and it’s spicy AF.
Between the love/hate relationship between her and Cain and the fact that Ethan has been keeping Rosalie, his fated mate, a dirty little secret from his clan… Well, she’s an alpha wolf and refuses to be someone’s secret pet.
“My mate could take a running jump off the nearest cliff for all I cared. He was an itch the bond between us had forced me to scratch but that was all he’d ever be. And one day he was going to live to regret the fact that he made that choice.”
We definitely get more background of all the guys. And why they landed themselves in Darkmore Penitentiary.
Sin Wilder, founder of The Daring Anacondas (lmao) is one of the most refreshing and hilarious characters I have ever read about in my entire life. He oozes sexually with confidence and comedy and he’s a perfect Incubus.
We get the most hilarious scene of him sticking something important in someone’s butthole to hide it and I could not stop laughing for an hour.
Roary is one of my most loved characters. I have read about him throughout different series and he’s just the perfect mate for Rosalie. Those two were always meant for each other. Their relationship really does strengthen in this book.
So, Alpha Wolf definitely leaves off on a cliffhanger but at least were able to know that our main characters are somewhat safe. But in the middle of a break out and a full blown prison riot with crazy monsters on the loose, I can tell that things are going to get definitely intense in the next book!
