***The Time Served MC series is written in tandem with the Ares Infidel MC series by Ciara St. James. You can read this series alone, but you’ll get more time with the characters of both MCs if you read both series in the order they are written.
This is the third book of TSMC which will follow Executioner, Ciara’s second book of her AIMC series.***
After avenging his daughter's death, Chef didn’t care that he was headed to prison. He had nothing left to live for, and no home to go back to. After he was paroled years later, he met a young woman who stole his heart and then her mother who stole his breath. Since she could never be his, he left the new life he’d found after prison and ventured off to settle away from his greatest temptation and keep himself from further heartbreak.
Brea came through her addiction and the prison sentence that followed a stronger woman. She found a man to love with her whole heart and was devastated when he suddenly died. With her daughter and friends’ support, she was able to get back on her feet, but she’s decided she’s never going to risk her heart again.
After having loved her from afar and being back in town now, it’s Chef’s chance to show Brea how good the two of them can really be together. If she’ll just open her heart to him, he’ll keep it safe for her and show her a love like she’s never known.
Join Chef and Brea along with the rest of the Time Served MC and the women in their lives for more adventures as they help clean up their small town with the help of Ciara St. James’s Ares Infidels MC.
Chef spent time in prison avenging his daughter's death. When he got out he found himself brought into the fold of men who have their own prison stories to tell. He becomes part of the Time Served MC where he meets Brea. He knows she is the light at the end of a very long tunnel, but she is not available. Years later Chef is back and Brea is available, but Brea is not wanting to get involved again with a man as it will only leave to heartbreak. Chef though has a plan in place to woo Brea and get her to realize this is a chance she will never regret.
This was a lot of fun, this series is quite different then the others this author has written. I enjoyed chef, he is a bit more magnetic in personality. I really enjoyed this one, Brea is a hoot.
This book is the third in a continuing series that intersects with the Tenillo Guardians AIMC by Ciara St James. Each series alternates to progress the timeline in a single story arc, however there aren’t really any cliffhangers.
This book is about Chef and Brea, both of whom we’ve met in previous books. Chef is a high school science teacher who went to prison when he killed the dealer/pimp that helped his daughter die of an overdose. They call him Chef because he cooked up a toxic chemical smoke bomb that killed him and his associates. He’d lost his wife, his high school sweetheart to illness before the death of his daughter which probably helped him go off the rails.
He’s a huge guy who used to play American Football but is gentle and kind with the people he cares about. He really cares about Brea and Sis her daughter. He’s loved Brea since he met her around 5 years ago whilst she was still married.
Brea is also an ex-con. She was a drug addict who stole to get her next fix. She’s been clean for quite a while now and lives quietly and reasonably happy in Tenillo. Her husband died a few years ago and she’s scared to get involved with anyone again to get her heart broken. She’s loved Chef for over a year but won’t act on her feelings because of her fear.
I felt like the plot was a little weaker in this book than in the others. Brea and Chef already knew and loved each other so they didn't have to make their lives mesh awkwardly, in fact it didn’t take much to persuade her to take a chance on being with Chef at all.
There was very little progress made on the story arc that goes over the whole interconnecting series and though some drama came from it, it didn’t feel very impactful. The events should have been, but the emotions felt muted.
There were some spicy scenes between Chef and Brea that were quite enjoyable but didn’t feel natural in their set up.
I feel that this book missed the mark for me, which is unusual for this author, so I’m sure that future books will be back to their usual enjoyment levels, so I’m unlikely to walk away from this author for a slightly lacklustre enjoyment of one book.
Chef had his work cut out for him to win over Brea. It both helped and hurt that the two of them had history. But once Chef decided to put his mind to winning Brea, he did it in a big way, a sneaky way, a way that forced Brea to think of him often. Once things were a done deal between the two of them that was it, they were solid. It would have been all butterflies and rainbows for them, but sadly all the trouble in Tenillo had to come in and cause drama.
I loved seeing Brea go all mama bear to protect Sis, heck she even impressed the guys with her actions and what she did. And while I loved that Brea had the skills, I wished she wouldn't have needed them.
Things did end on a great note for Brea thought. A few toss away comments from Chef to Preacher made it so Preacher could be the one to end Brea's nightmares. I loved how things turned out here and it was great for Brea to finally put those nightmares to rest.
I'm kind of disappointed with this one, I just wasn't feeling it. I' m also starting to get annoyed with the way all the females are being portrayed as crazy psychopaths. One crazy friend is pretty much my limit. Problem is, I'm hooked on the mystery/suspense part of the series and I have no choice but to continue.
Again just wow! A second chance to find love. Both of them have lost the one person that they love and found it again in each other. Don't get me started on the pets. They are not normal. Can't wait to continue read what come next.
Chef/Brea. Didn't care for either Chef or Brea. I also don't really care for Sis. There really wasn't a story at all. Nothing really involving the club. I was also a little confused because I thought that Brea lived next door to Hook where Jenn & Boss lived on the other side of Hook. I guess I'm not really paying attention to much to details with these books. Also, author doesn't really describe the characters so really don't know what people look like. Story was mainly about Chef and Brea so not that great of a story for me. Feel like this book was a set up for Preacher's story, also feel like these stories are starting to drag on now. We still don't know what part Hannigan played with the drugs in the high school.
Darker theme but written w sense of humor - HIGHLY RECOMMEND!!
I do NOT consider this to be a STAND-ALONE read. That is because there are two series, written by two authors, about two different MCs, that unite together to tell the readers about Tenillo, Texas. Therefore, for maximum reader satisfaction, to prevent spoilers, and for immersion in the dynamic world building, these need to be read in order, alternating the series. The first story to be read is Boss from the Time Served MC, followed by the first in the Ares’ Infidels MC series, Sin’s Enticement. Other reasons include multiple reoccurring characters, concurrent timelines and overarching themes.
Cee and Ciara are working together to weave stories about people that are determined to clean up and save their city from coercion, drugs, blackmail, murder and whatever other nefarious crimes are being committed in the shadows. These combine to build a dynamic and ever changing story universe with each new reveal, but with two distinct styles. This has made it more interesting for me and I for one am looking forward to the next in the series.
A couple of notes from me:
- There are some seriously hilarious scenes in this story, one of which caused me to laugh until I had tears running down my face AND I still couldn’t quit laughing. So loved the LOL dialogue, just like the previous two stories in the Time Served MC series.
- I may not be able to look at a pickle the same way again … and I am wondering if I tried what Brea did if he would have the same reaction 😍
- I would love to surprise my husband like Brea does Chef. Just wish it had been earlier in the story so we could have had at least one or two complete scenes with it …
** If you have not read the previous stories in the series, the following may contain spoilers. There are numerous topics that are potential triggers for sensitive readers, so please review the examples listed below **
⛔️ Contains references to, or scenes detailing, subject matter that may be a trigger or offensive to some, including: adult language; derogatory terms; mental health challenges; steamy adult intimate scenes with dominance, submission, restraints, spanking for pleasure, “bottom” play, etc.; violence stereotypical of the genre such as kidnapping, abduction, murder, death, torture, assault, fighting, betrayal, coercion, blackmail, threats, subterfuge, money laundering, gun running, cheating, prostitution, human trafficking, mafia / cartels, drug use, drug manufacturing, drug distribution, as well as the mental, physical and sexual abuse of females and/or children, etc.
** Caution: Contains scenes with reference to, or detailed graphic violence against females and/or children that fit into the storyline, but may be a trigger for some **
There are very few grammatical issues primarily comprised of incorrect word tense, missed words and extra inserted words. I am mentioning these for readers such as myself that visualize the story as it is read, because errors interrupt the flow.
There were a few things that I think should have been addressed during the story with Brea given her background. Brea is a recovering addict, even though nothing is really mentioned about her sobriety, the struggles with addiction past or present, or the timeline with her child when everything went down. I didn’t reduce my rating, because this still remains a series that I will read again and the storyline, characters, etc. are so strong.
In this story, Brea, aka Pickle, is an ex-con that served time for a parole violation after she saved a child from an abusive parent (fairly graphic details of this scene). There is an ex-con that she found herself attracted to about a year after her husband’s death. This has now transitioned to her being in love with him, but she is determined to fight it for multiple reasons.
Marques, aka Chef, is a former football player that went into teaching science after an injury forced his retirement. He went to jail after he “cooked” up a mixture for the men involved in the loss of his daughter, not for killing the men, but for where he made the cocktail.
Chef was released about 5 years ago and came to Tenillo, Texas due to Pop’s support. He knew as soon as he met Brea that she was someone very special to him, but she was married and not available, so he left town about a year later so he could start fresh somewhere else. After Brea’s husband passed and some time had passed, he returned to town determined to take his shot when the time was right. Then he overhears something while helping Boss and Jenn that changes everything.
Laughter, melting panties and tears Chef: Time Served MC Book 3 (Tenillo Guardians TSMC) by Cee Bowerman is a red hot read and so much more. Chef will put you in a hazy ’hot man high’ with all his charm, sweet words and dirty talk. Meanwhile, Brea entertains with hilarious inner dialogue as well as her sassy mouth. There is so much to love about this book (and the series, frankly), but especially the characters. More insight into Brea’s relationships with the guys of the MC is revealed, with Preacher for one, but especially with Chef. But, of all the characters introduced and prominent in the series so far, Chef (Marques) is by far my favorite and immediately stole my heart. This dominant alpha ticks all my boxes making this book extra yummy, dreamy, panty melting, sweaty, drool-worthy deliciousness that I devoured as quickly as possible, then promptly pouted when I finished. If I wasn’t sighing dreamily or panting with anticipation, I was laughing! Brea and all the ladies in this book steal the show for entertainment. The install project had me in stitches! Then, Cee Bowerman had to go and make me cry! Yes! I cried too! Chef and Brea have such a beautiful connection. But Preacher surprised me and I cannot wait for his turn to be gobsmacked into love. I think his clock is ticking down and love is imminent. The plot is busy, there’s a lot going on in Tenillo and you just never know what is coming up next. There’s some action in here in which our Time Served MC heros get to flex their muscles and exercise some creative justice via interrogation ala Chef. Major points and kudos for giving us readers just enough, but keeping us hooked for more. Overall, this MC romance has tons going for it, making it a really great read. Emotions, chemistry, bad boy protective bikers, sassy and sweet women who give as good as they get, laugh out loud moments, steamy scenes and a HEA. I read an ARC of this book and voluntarily share my review.
Fresh out of prison and starting over, Chef finds himself in Tenillo, Texas building a motorcycle to ride and getting a fresh start. His life is empty without his wife and daughter, and he has no idea why he’s even trying. As he starts to meet the people he’s living around in the junk yard that is run by Pop’s, the man that is giving Chef a second chance, he sees a woman that makes his day brighter, until he realizes that he can never have her because she’s already taken. With nothing else keeping him in Tenillo, Chef leaves because he can’t stand to watch Brea from afar and not have her.
Brea has had her fair share of trouble. She’s also part of the Timed Served crew. She lives in the junk yard with her husband and daughter. She’s a tough lady. When Brea has to go through a rough patch in her life again, it’s the men that are like family that helps her through it. When Pop’s health is in jeopardy and he’s been shot, Chef comes back home to Tenillo.
I love the men and women in the Tenillo Guardians. They are protectors of their town, family, and friends. They will go to any lengths to make sure that their loved ones are safe and protected. They want their town safe and clear of the crime that is going on in town. Chef is determined to win Brea over, but she’s gun shy of relationships after losing a man she loved once. She knows that Chef won’t run away from a fight and that scares her. It takes a lot of convincing on Chef’s part to win her over, but like his determination for protecting those around him, his determination to win Brea over is ruthless. I love these the relationship these men and women have. This was another great read in the Time Served MC Series. I get a lot of laughs at the dialog, both verbally and internally, between the women in these books. Brea’s internal dialog was great. The women are just as tough and ruthless as the men, and I am really looking forward to more in this series. I give this book a 5-star review.
I honestly think that it takes me longer to read this authors books, mainly because I can't stop laughing so hard I'm crying! I swear that I need to find some friends like the awesome women in this series. Yes, the men are awesome as well in their own badazz biker, alpha male kind of way. (wouldn't want to hurt their delicate sensibilities! Lol!) I absolutely love this series, the awesome characters, hilarious banter, crazy antics, drama, angst, suspense, and the intriguing unexpected twists. It's definitely a must read for everyone who loves the MC world, a great HEA, and most importantly more laughs than you can imagine. This amazing author had me hooked while I read the first book in her first series, and has become one of my favorite authors since. I have read every single book she's written, and I love all of them! This series is a collaboration with another author and her series, Ciara St. James and the Ares Infidels MC. They are both fantastic series' that are meant to be read in the order they were released. I would highly recommend that you read both of these series in the recommend reading order. You will have a better understanding of the characters, the different clubs, the connections, and the dynamics between all of them. Each story is unique, intriguing, and you certainly won't be disappointed! The first book to begin with is Boss: Time Served MC by Cee Bowerman, and then follow the reading order or go by the release dates for each book. It's definitely worth it to read both series together as planned. I'm looking forward to the seeing where they take these series next. I would definitely recommend this book, series, and exceptional author.
2nd chance at love for a hot older alpha man and smart, strong woman
This is the 5th book in the Tenillo Guardians series (but the 3rd book about the Time Served MC). While it is a standalone, I truly believe that reading the previous books 1-4 in the series will enhance your enjoyment of this book. This book is about Chef (aka Marques Green) of the Time Served MC and Brea(a good friend of the TSMC and former convict herself) . Chef fell for Brea the 1st time he met her but she was unavailable. A few years later they meet up again and this time Brea is available and Chef sets out to make Brea his. This is 1 of my favorite 2nd chance at love stories.
Cee writes stories of wonderfully strong women who meet and fall for strong, protective alpha males and this one is no exception. I really would love to be part of this girl tribe. This series is a bit darker than her other series but I loved it. There are some fantastic animals and many extremely funny scenes that had me laughing out loud.
It was great to learn more about some more of the Time Served MC members and to catch up with the Ares Infidels MC members as well as the 2 clubs work together to clean up the not so sleepy, small town of Tenillo, TX. I can’t wait for all the rest of the stories and if I could; I’d live in Tenillo, TX.
The series will alternate between the Time Served MC (by Cee Bowerman) and the Ares Infidels MC (written by Ciara St James). The next book will be the 6th Ares Infidels MC book (Pitbull's Enslavement).
When obvious strain or dislike for a book series becomes obvious
So far I've read 6 books in this co-created series. In book three of both series from the Time Served MC and Infidels MC it has become pretty obvious that this series is a strain on both authors. While the series is good, it has become apparent but neither author is loving the characters they have created. This is sad to see, because while the series is still good to read, the rushing of chapters and characters is plain to see. There were a lot of mistakes in this book series, including a mix match or POV of the characters in this book. I fell in love with the characters of both AIMC and TSMC, they've made me laugh and, they've made me cry. I've cheered for the successes and chewed my nails off with their fails and/or their pain. I have no idea of what has happened to both authors in this co-created series but both are appearing to have no love for the remaining characters of either series. Character progression has become rushed and plots seem to have flaws. Romance seems to be rail-roaded right from the start and while it is an interesting way to make a plot, the plots seem to have no real function in the story.
I have no idea what has happened to this series, I am hesitant to find out. But I sincerely hope both authors keep at it. You both create magic and this series is still highly recommended to read. I am going to continue both series simply because I fell in love with all the characters shown in the first four books (2 from each author).
This book was just good for me. I loved these two together but the cat and mouse game going on was just to long and became annoying for me. When they did finally get together I just skimmed through that part. Just didn't care to read that part anymore. Her reasoning for not wanting to get together was getting old. I notice the women in the books are becoming to hard. To much independence trates. Almost border line bitchness. Especially her character. I missed the drama in this book. Had only a bit with her daughter. To much cat and mouse and not enough drama. It's almost like the author is now starting to spread it thinner now so she has enough drama for the next book. I really wanted more on the trapped door they found. Why are they not putting camera's down there? What's back there? It was just left open for the next book. I think most of us know it's for transporting the women. It's not a secret now. I just hope the author brings more drama with the next book and a bit more softness with the women. I'm waiting on preacher's book. I hope Blue tones down the attitude a bit. He doesn't need a bitch as his girlfriend. Someone in between.
4.7 stars. This was so good. I loved the sweetness, the romance that Chef showed Brea. So fucking cute for such a large and dominating man to be so soft and squishy on the inside for the ones he loves.
I’d say this one was a little bit less action, a little bit more relationship/tension heavy than the other books in the series. Some dangerous things still happened, but they were more minor, and they got more info about what’s happening in the town, things are moving, but it’s slowed down a tiny bit while they wait for whatever syndicate that’s moved into town to recover from all the men the clubs have disposed of.
The passion between these two is explosive. The sex is so fucking hot. There’s a hint of bondage and some serious edging that goes down in this book, and I could not help but squirm a bit just imaging what Chef sounds like reading a damn werebear MC romance aloud…that’s a damn good thought, let tell you.
I’m so glad I picked up this series…only now I’ve torn through all the books available in less than a week and am now stuck waiting for the next to hurry up get released so I can get back in Tenillo. I need more time with these characters. And I need to know if my suspicions on what’s happening in town are true.
I wish I never tried to read the Ares Infidels MC like the footnotes suggest... (if you're thinking about it to get a better reading experience for both clubs in Tenillo... DO NOT DO IT!!!) The Ares MC is not written well and it ruins the momentum going with the Time Served MC. **I read the first 2 and they were "tell me" not "show me" books.. both women were immature and annoying and both Sin and the Executioner were written the EXACT same.**
That said, when I picked up Chef's book I was discouraged because I thought I would have a more enhanced experience between both series and that was a fail. I loved Brea in the first two books in this series so I was stoked to get a book about her. This did not disappoint!!
Brea was still stubborn about getting involved with Chef, but she's not stupid and knows love is hard to come by. When she finally gave Chef a chance I was tickled. I love how determined Chef was in his courting and how fiercely he loves not just her but Sis.
I am IN LOVE with Cee Bowerman's writing!! She has an awesome way of writing gritty comedy and the banter between the characters always has me cracking up!! I cannot wait to read about Preacher, I have always enjoyed his quirks.
This was good, but not as funny as Boss and Hook’s books. It kind of had a mellow, mature vibe, which makes sense considering the MCs and how they were both moving past tragic history. I prefer the crazy funny Jenn and Paula, but Brea was cool too. I’m psyched to read Preacher’s book- he’s my favorite.
This cover is a lot better than the first two. Still not a great model, not really how I picture Chef though. I really hate when the descriptions in the books don’t match the covers. Speaking of which. I’ve noticed that there is never a specific description of the FMC and it’s annoying me. I LIKE TO KNOW THESE THINGS. Needless to say, I’m a visual person. I just don’t like having no idea what characters look like. It’s hard to get a solid visual of what’s happening when the characters are like mist. I’m pretty sure there’s not one mention of Brea’s hair or eye color. I’m not sure if Paula is brunette or blond. I know Jenn has auburn hair. I can barely picture any of the men, but there’s more description of them than the women. I don’t like the Ares Infidels series much, but at least there are descriptions in them.
Chef and Brea are a great couple. I enjoyed their story and the interactions with the prior couples as well as the Ares Infidels MC. The laughs keep coming and the sexy times between Brea and Chef as his persistence to win her over to giving him a chance is quite heartening. I enjoyed seeing more of the mystery revolving around what's going on in Tenillo and all the shitty things happening. I hope C. Bowerman is planning to write more as unfortunately I did not enjoy the other stories by the other author that interlink with this series.
Bowerman's ability to get me to laugh out loud and get emotionally involved with her characters is wonderful. Here's one such LOL that had me chuckling while I read at work, "“I think I’d do okay,” Paula told us. “People underestimate the short ones, but we’re more evil since we’re closer to hell.” Bowerman, Cee. Chef: Time Served MC, Book 3 (Tenillo Guardians TSMC) (pp. 227-228). Kindle Edition. "
If you haven't checked out Cee Bowerman I highly recommend this series.

"Ares Infidels MC" series by Vista St. James and the "Time Served MC" series by Gee Bower man are written in tandem with one another. **To get the most out of the series is best to read in the epic world build these two authors created. However, it is not necessary.

It didn’t matter that she was the prettiest woman I’d seen since my wife passed years ago. It didn’t matter that she had the sexiest voice I’d ever heard. It didn’t matter that I’d found a woman who made my heart thump around in my chest.
All that mattered was the ring on her finger and the fact that she could never be mine.
There hasn’t been a book in this series I haven’t fallen in love with, but Chef topped all the others! From the moment we were given glimpses into the situation surrounding Chef and Brea I was invested. They both have experienced terrible things in their past and for different reasons they fought their attraction until… Chef says enough is enough.
“Jesus H. Christ. I didn’t say I can’t love one of them. I love all of them, and I am in love with Chef and can’t do anything about it, okay?
I loved everything about Brea she was a tough female with a heart of gold. Her love for her friends and family was beautiful to read but her denying herself the one thing waiting for her broke my heart. Chef took a risk after losing his family and I fell in love with him even more because of it, adding in the adorable relationship he has with Brea’s daughter, and he was an all-around winner.
“Why in the hell do you have to be so nice? And so fucking persistent? Why?”
“Because I’m in love with you.”
A big cuddly biker! Cee Bowerman created a wonderful love story with complex characters and an epic storyline. I can’t wait to see who will be next!
It took a little longer getting into book three, but other characters were developed already so fun stuff was slightly delayed. Some great twists with crazy animals, personal stories, and more additions to the long game. The trafficking in a small community/college community doesn't seem to attract any attention. Feds would have come as all the females disappear from college, mals, and roads, but cars are just left. No community uproar? No federal intervention? Reporters just allowing all this and no questions and no state support. Treated too casually here. Also no closure on the hidden tunnel either. It is there and dangerous but no more information. Story is more than the bad guys business, but they seem to propel half the story. Still reading, still love the peeps, just frustrated when I hear "two more girls taken last week".
Definitely not my fave of the series (Time Served not the combined series). There appeared to be very little going on in this book. It was pretty boring to be honest.
There is obviously some movement on the crimes happening in Tenillo so this kind of served as a filler book for the storyline to progress but not have anything happen per se.
The main crux of the story was about Brea and Chef (obviously) but also about Brea putting her demons to rest with the little boy she saved.
It also seemed to serve as a precursor to Blue and Preachers love story.
I do like these women in this series better than the Ares Infidel. They’re older, more worldly and their dialogue often has me chuckling out loud. The animals are a hoot too.

I have read every book by Cee Bowerman and love how the characters lives are entertained. We all wish we had a friend like Brea . I loved how Marques' knew Brea was the one and went after her. The way he listened to what her favorite things were and remembered made my heart to putter patter. The rapport between all of the characters had me laughing so hard I was snorting and I will never be able to look at turkey bacon again with a straight face again. The characters in all of her books are so real and relatable and I think I need a pet!. I am looking forward to the next book in this series.
This book was so good but that’s no surprise, Cee is a phenomenal writer. chef and Brea’s relationship is so great because they start off as friends and he has such a great relationship with Sis. Loving someone from the sidelines and having to watch them love another was sad but these two got their happily ever after and apparently sis has similar taste in men according to Brea. Chef is a very observant man and is able to find gifts that appeal to Brea in a way that flowers never would. Brea just isn’t a flower person. I think it’s very sweet how much he knows about her. Also Brea is a badass which you’ll see once you open up the book.
Have you ever been helplessly in love? Loved someone that belonged to another? If circumstances were to change, would you jump at the chance to make that person love you?
I loved this book. Cee Bowerman has a way of engaging her readers from the first to the last page!! I read Chef until 2am, I couldn't put it down and lost myself reading this story.
The characters had their own core values, the plot was engaging and interesting. I felt emotionally connected to the characters and fell hopelessly in love with Chef!
The cross over series is interesting, although Ciara St James and Cee Bowerman have unique writing styles, they work really well together.
I am just loving this mc series by Cee Bowerman & the characters & their stories. She definitely pulled me in more with this book with Chef & Brea's story. I definitely went thru reading it with lots of laughter, a few teary eyed moments, sitting on the edge of my seat, cringe moments & excited for the HEA part too lol. And oh boy I just love Chef & the way he took charge in his seduction of Brea once he came back into town lol. And boy did he have many sides to him that I didn't expect and so did Brea. Overall this book deserves 5 stars as the rest of the books in the series & I can't wait for the next book to start reading.
Cee Browerman has another hit.Brea and Chef story is one many couples go through after losing someone they loved died, in Brea case her denying the love she had for Chef. But Chef beat her down and won.
The characters of this series are serious about cleaning up their town especially Boss and his MC brothers, they gave a bond that can not be broken. Each with their own history, kick ass women and wacky animals. Brea and Chef story was funny, loving and loaded with still unanswered question. Of and I love Preacher.
The backstories of the Tenillo characters are fascinating. If you haven’t read the previous books in this series, I highly recommend it. They are fun reads, and this book will make more sense if you do. It could be a stand alone, but why would you want to deprive yourself of the other books?
Chef is a really interesting character, and the reason for his road name is pretty awesome. I like the way the relationship between Chef and Brea develops, as well as how the community of characters all interact with each other.
Having read Chef by Cee Bowerman when it 1st came out: My review on the book as follows: Chef is a strong man who has just got out of prison not for killing the druggies that helped kill his daughter but for cooking up the bomb "bomb" that killed all the druggies in the house where his daughter got her drugs at, he joined the Time Served Mc where he found peace & family then he finally finds love when Lil Sis comes upon him & he meets her mama Brea. The Time Served & Ares Infidels Mcs along with Chef are trying to clean up the streets of the drug use & women coming up missing as well.
I don’t often rate 4 stars. I’m a hard three on most books that I think are good, but these books deserve that extra star for all the banter.
These stories are always pretty predictable, which is fine, I’m not complaining because it does what it says on the tin. However, this series really set itself apart with its dialogue. Love it!
Only two negatives. The first is that the blurbs are really pretty awful and could be done better. The second is that I’m not always sure who is speaking. So that part could be done better.
As always Cee hits me right in the heart with stories of family, showing that family doesn't have to be blood. I love the love that's between Chef, Brea and Sis and truthfully the whole Time Served crew. I laughed and shared the timeless Cee "quotes" with my son and I cried so hard when Brea met Jake. As always, Cee's books are well worth the time. Thank you so much for your stories!
