Carrie is a single mum and runs a café along with her sister. She has been hurt by her cheating ex-husband and she is devoted to her son and the café. Luke is a fireman who is married to his career. He is new in town and he is not prepared to have a family, or so he thinks until he meets Carrie and her son Caleb. A clean, sweet short story about a couple of people who belong together. I loved the epilogue. I received a free copy of this book via Booksprout and I am voluntarily leaving a review.
Carrie married her high school sweetheart and had Caleb. Carrie is now a divorced single mother. There is an accident at the café her and her sister own, that cause the fire department to show up and this is when she meets Luke the interim fire captain. There are instant sparks between them. This is where Carrie and Luke's journey to their HEA begins. This is an incredible read and I highly recommend it.

This was a short clean single mom meets a handsome firefighter when her young son almost burns her cafe with rescue cats down romance. There is an instant attraction, but Carrie is afraid of being hurt again like she was with her ex and she also thinks Luke doesn't want a family. Luke falls for both of Carrie and Caleb pretty quickly, but a misunderstanding could push them apart. The epilogue was nice, but I would have liked more development to their relationship in the middle.
I had kind of already fallen in love with the whole family in Meeting Up with the Renovator. I knew right then and there that I needed to read Carrie’s story as soon as I could get my hands on it. Luke is such a sweetheart. I don't know if he's quite what I had envisioned for Carrie, but it turns out these two are absolutely perfect together. And Caleb is such a precocious little imp, he provides nearly all of the comic relief in the story.
This very short book is too unrealistic for me. I love a good fairytale and happy ending but this is just over the top. One disastrous date, an explanation and apology then he's leaving her alone on a mountain to paint and lets him take off with her son?! I just hope that lonely moms don't read this and think that this is ok. It's not.
Shorter sweet second chance romance. This is written in such a way that the reader can put it down inbetween reading times and you won't have problem getting back into the story. This a cute, but not very deep which can be great for someone who has to take many breaks due to the real world aka parenting, work, or queen of the homestead.
This is a slow burn, (pun intended) read. Single mom and divorcee Carrie, meets interim fire chief Luke, and begins their journey for a happy ever after, thanks to her son Caleb. That's the short, tame version. This is a perfect read, no matter the season.
You know that "misunderstanding" that all romance stories have? Yeah. I hurt for our main couple. Thankfully one chose to act like an adult, talk it out, and turn it into just a little speed bump on their road to a HEA.
The first book in the Broken Ornament Cat Cafe series a well written story with a very good storyline. Carrie, her son Caleb and Luke's story that held my interest throughout, the story was well worth reading. I received a copy of this book via Booksprout and am voluntarily leaving a review.
Ok, I’m in love! All right it is Caleb and Luke isn’t too bad either. I really enjoyed this story by Clara Bliss and look forward to the rest of the series.
This is a really short but sweet story about Luke and Carrie. I loved Luke's character. He was so thoughtful and a real romantic. This is a really sweet, clean romance.
