Rate this book
There is a very strange restaurant in the City of Sin.

Elves and dwarves must share a table, orcs are strangely well behaved, dragons are only welcomed on the small square in front of the restaurant, and the demons must bring their own stool.

This strange restaurant with their strange rules continuous to attract a long line of customers.

“This place serves the best food! The chef of this restaurant is a genius!” Some of the guests in the restaurant left glowing reviews. But these guests have a word of warning for other guests, “No matter what you do, never, never attempt to kidnap the boss or try to ‘eat and run’. You will die.”

A cute little girl stood near the door, and demanded in her tiny voice, “You have eaten the food, now pay up, or I will beat you to death.” The five-meter tall dragon suddenly felt a chill running up its spine.

There is enough substance in the story telling that made me continue to the end. Rating it 4.5/5

Pros: The characters were many, especially the powerful women and girls around the hero. It did not feel like a harem or a group of love struck groupies. The main characters are humorous with a weak chef and the strong family he transmigrated into from Earth. His family members have big personalities that make the reading enjoyable. I like that the daughter, Amy, is smart and cynical without the dialogue of a miniature adult.
The storyline had different arcs. It was not boring considering the length.

Cons: It’s 2400+ pages that I could finish without regrets. But, it’s too long. It’s easy to forget some of the secondary characters.
The ending is abrupt. It was concluded in two long chapters leaving me wanting more of a gradual closure.

2-4 stars

An actually decent clone of other very low quality restaurant+system novels. This one has a good plot, intelligent characters, and a reasonable level of consistency for novels like this. This would be a 4 star novel if the author didn’t bog down the story progression in filler, a large amount of side characters/plots, and an unnerving amount of focus on a "cute" toddler. The last thing seems to be partially the fault of the translator deciding to translate 'young girl/toddler' as loli. Although the author doesn’t cross any lines, the fact that the protagonist's 3-4 year old daughter is so extremely captivating to so many adults is off putting.

Because of the very slow pacing I’m temporarily (perhaps permanently) dropping this. The 2500+ chapters and still ongoing is very discouraging.

-Temporarily Dropped Ch 501

At some point this book became more repetitive, and the antagonists became morons so that they could be face slapped more easily. The constant stream of idiot antagonists are annoying, but what’s more annoying is that even the protagonist lost some intelligence too!

The fact that all of the female characters are have far too many sexual descriptions regardless of age is annoying. Faux harems (etc.) are terrible for so many reason. The only actual 'romance' is even worse. The protagonist's wife is an adult replica of his 4 year old daughter (deranged, impulsive, annoying, and dumb). The relationship between is similar to the relationship between his daughter and the cat she 'loves' but regularly bullies and abuses for fun. The protagonist is now labeled a masochist (just for her!) and loses all assertive behavior and self respect around her. The wife regularly risks their lives because… either impulse, selfishness, or being to dumb to realize that she’s doing so. The protagonist says and does nothing to stop her when he has the opportunity.

The rare moments of actual plot (and the well constructed parts of slice of life) is great, but everything else is getting progressively worse. Plot holes and inconsistencies are cropping up more and more often. This has devolved into a hybrid consisting of a typical very low quality system+restaurant novel and an original (for me) 3-4 star story that’s haphazardly mixed in.

I finished the whole thing from WebNovel. Quite good until the author rushed the ending. The ending was so abrupt and there are tons of things that were neglected.

The story is relaxing and cute if you are focused on the cooking and paternal moments. The business side is exhilerating as well and there are some lessons one could pick up for business. The fight scenes are alright, but quite predictable. The ending is quite unsatisfying in the grand scheme of things especially when one is used to Chinese Novel's transition from ancient historical drama to intergalactic sci-fi.

Overall, a great read. The ending part could be neglected and one could continue the novel from there.

I'm at chapter 2345 by now and I can tell you that It's a pretty awesome and laid back slice of life read about man and his system. But I'll have to agree with the previous reviewer that there a repetition in the praise or description of Amy, and really, all the major characters and that the author is just dragging things at this point. Aside from that, it's pretty cool, if you don't mind the gushing.
And I LOVE Mag and how he runs his restaurant. I love his mindset as well. Don't forget Irina, she's a gem.

The ending was very rushed, but I liked the pacing of everything else. It was cool to learn about Chinese cuisine and also merge it with a fantasy environment
