Queen Lakia gave us another great one! This crew and their shenanigans had me lmao and wanting them to body some folks,lol.
The book started off having me ready to make Daryl broke f'boy bit** a** disappear🤷🏽😂. That motherfudgesicklestix wanted to loose his life, first he steal all Peace money, then had the audacity to get an attitude because she wanted it back. Then he loses it all and still had the audacity to blame her and threatens her cause she removed his broke wanna be a dope dealer a** from her accounts🙄😔. That promotion frame at the right time for her cause she needed a fresh start away from his bit** a**.
Manny kept me laughing with his ignorant a**. That fool met his match with Peace and didn't know why he couldn't stop thinning and dreaming about her. He was a real hoe from dealing with Cora delusional stalking a**, to Nikki pull up and beat a bit** down a**, he decides to let that alone. Once he ask Peace on a date and things go great, he's stuck. Hell even his own father told him that was gonna be his daughter-in-law. Manny and Peace were a hot mess with all their back and forth🤦🏾. My heart broke when her mom passed😢. Manny was right there supporting her through it all. That hoe sh*t Daryl pulled made me wanna fu**him up😡, then to Connie to harass her cause she bossed up and leveled up on his broke friendly🍆 a**.
I enjoyed catching up with Kane & Talia and their family💕. That auntie of his pissed me off with all that bs she was doing. I had a feeling she wasn't dead and I'm glad I was right.
After all the craziness, Peace finally got her divorce and was really able to move on and enjoy her new life in New York.
Let's see what drama and shenanigans unfold in part 3.

You Never Know When You Will Meet Your Future.
Lakia , this was such a good read. Looking at Peace situation one would think she just couldn't catch a break. Thinking the life you were building was a true situation turns out to not be a real situation at all. Allowing a man or woman access to all your information in the name of love will sometimes have you in a place you never thought you would be.
Peace and Darryl had a marriage that Peace thought was an equal pairing. Unfortunately, though her love soon wore off after he showed her who he really was. Peace chose to start a new life and Darryl nothing behind realized his good ship was over he tried to give Peace all kind of problems with Peace trying to sever the marriage.
Peace new life didn't start off right but boy oh boy the ride that she got she finally was so well deserved for her. Meeting Manny was one of the most irritating men she ever met, Manny had never fell for any woman before but it was something about Peace that kept him wanting to know her story. Through a little more dra ma Manny and Peace was able to finally get to know their true selves and welcomed falling in love. Great love story in my opinion. Great Job. Lakia

There's always someone who can show you a better person within yourself. This is what happen to Kane and Manny. Sometimes you may think you have to do wrong in order to make it right for the ones you love.
Both of them wanted change in their lives but thought they would have to change who they were in order to make it happen.
Both of their women came from bad relationships with men who treated them with no respect.
This was good fantasy story. Fantasy or not I had issues with
calling wonen bitches. Can we address these wrongs? Can I say double standard. Don't use a word if you can't handle it being said to you from anyone regardless of their race.
Our race have our own slang without thinking we have to use these negative words to communicate with each another.
I would like to see writers correct their characters when a derogatory word is used unnecessary. Example: "Man that wasn't necessary to call her a bitch."
Let's not degrade ourselves because we came or still living in the hood.

A Must Read
Whew Darryl was a broke, bum ass, mess. What was even more sad about was that Peace was a great wife but he screwed that up. Peace and Manny meeting was hilarious. Manny was rude and his mouth was reckless but Peace didn't back down. It was kind of cute the way Manny humble himself to ask her out. After meet his father Big Ron. I saw where Manny got his mouth from. It was sad to witness the pain Peace went through with her mother. That was heartbreaking. I applaud the way Manny stepped up and stepped in. Although Kane and Talia was settled down and married with children. His street dealings caused him to make a deadly decision that hit closed to home. I was on pins and needles hoping him and Manny didn't get caught up behind Greg thieving ass.

Nice update on the Bali love affair 💛 Talia and Kane still on their love thang and I'm glad she decided to face her parenting insecurities and Kane understanding and assisting when needed. Darryl was the ultimate fk boi constantly trying to run game but hustling backwards. Enter playboy Manny 😍 Oh how I love my rude males!! This foo cared nothin about what left his mouf and he met his match in a chick that was just absolutely fed up and tired of the bad luck constantly finding her!! I'm glad Peace was able to explain herself and finally get the love she deserved! 🧡🧡🧡

Now Darryl had me pissed from the start! You take advantage of the 1 person that’s done good by you then get upset when she says enough is enough. I was so happy to see Peace get some type of happiness through all that she went through. She found an old friend also gained new ones! For a second I thought Manny wouldn’t get his happiness either but I’m glad to see things changed! Definitely got a good laugh from them! I wouldn’t mind seeing them pop up in another story. Definitely a great read!

Manny and Peace
As always Lakia came through with a 🔥read. I just love Manny. I don't know what it is about her rude and reckless mouth male characters but I'm with it. Darryl with his backwards hustling azz should have left well enough alone the first time he met Manny, but still wanted to pop that 🔥 💩. Worth every word read. Peace was indeed Manny's peace. They both complimented each other. Darryl didn't deserve Peace. He just wanted what she had. He was worthless and had nothing going for himself. But a real one showed up and showed out. Peace's cousins always was on go and i loved it. Talia and Kane was so good together. Kane still is and always will be thee man. Manny ain't too far behind. I enjoyed hearing from Kane and Talia and there family. Manny hasn't changed much takes the right woman to bring the loving side out of you. Peace was in a dead in relationship so glad she accepted that promotion and upgraded her life. The first interaction didn't go so well but it was inevitable to happen. Great Read
This standalone was good from beginning to the end. It was great catching up with Kane and Talia. I didn't like Darryl right from the start. Peace, knew her worth and wanted happiness. Enters rude Manny and he's exactly what Peace needed and vice versa. I so loved their relationship and the way it blossomed, nothing but love. Highly recommend this standalone. Great job Lakia.

Darryl was a creep...he wanted to be taken cared of instead of being the bread winner for Peace...I'm glad Peace met Manny and was able to feel what love and appreciation was being reciprocated...Talia and Kane was awesome together...Cora did absolutely too much for Manny...she wanted everything Manny wasn't willing to give...Manny's love for Peace was everything...Great Read

Cute!
Book 2 was okay, it lacked the passion of book 1, but I still can rock with it. Now as much as I love Manny, he was way too immature. His actions were funny but still extremely childish. It seemed as if Peace was the oldest instead of vice versa.All in all, I guess we’ll read about Zenon next, hunh? Well I’m here for it, if that’s the case.

I loved this!
Peace down on her luck and a scheming husband caused her to move out of her home state. At first her and Manny were enemies but once they got it together they were perfect for one another! I really loved them together! Good seeing Talks and Kane as well! great read!

Close to home
This is an awesome read and is definitely worth the time and money. I most definitely never imagined when I read this book the first time that it would end up mirroring my life. I lost my Mom to Covid Pneumonia on October 20, 2021. Indescribable, unimaginable pain. This is a very real read, kudos to the author . Get into this if you haven't already

Flowed
Book 2 flowed better for me than Book 1. Looking forward to reading Book 3 finale(?). I Love that the children are often included and mentioned throughout the story, most books I have read there are mentions of children, but become an afterthought and the parents move freely as if they are childless.

Good Read! Darryl was dead wrong for clearing out Peace bank account! I’m glad a better job opening became available in NY for her bc she got away from Darryl using a$$ and meet Manny even though they did get along at first, but everything worked itself out! Good read
