Ouija boards and eerie seances cause quite the ruckus in the next whacky whodunit of the Paramour Bay Mysteries by USA Today Bestselling Author Kennedy Layne… Lighted jack-o-lanterns, spooky music, and scary costumes set the scene for the annual trick-or-treat event in Paramour Bay. What should have been a fun and exciting holiday turns out to be a catastrophe of epic proportions! The village druid has spent most of the past year preparing for something dire that only she has foreseen, giving Raven and her friends little insight on what to expect or how to prepare for yet another apocalyptic event. No one is sure what to expect, but chaos ensues from the moment Mr. Leo stumbles and falls into a grave that has been disturbed inside the gates of the local cemetery. Were they simply dealing with vandalism, or has the dead begun rising from the grave? You might want to bring along a zombie apocalypse kit for this spooky tale!
Kennedy Layne is a USA Today bestselling author. She draws inspiration for her romantic thrillers in part from her not-so-secret second life as a wife of a retired Marine Master Sergeant. He doubles as her critique partner, beta reader, and military consultant. Kennedy also has a deep love for cozy mysteries, thrillers, and basically any book that can keep her guessing until the very end. They live in the Midwest with their menagerie of pets. The loyal dogs and mischievous cats appreciate her writing days as much as she does, usually curled up in front of the fireplace.
Hallow Blend (Paramour Bay Book #22) The Paramour Bay Series by Kennedy Layne proved to be full of fun cozy mysteries full of paranormal intrigue, and heartwarming charm. Set in the enchanting seaside town of Paramour Bay, the series follows Raven Marigold, who is a relatable and endearing character who discovers she’s a witch. From the very first book, I was drawn into a world filled with magical mishaps, quirky townsfolk, and a touch of humor that kept the tone light and engaging. Paramour Bay came alive with its quaint shops, mysterious coves, and a community that’s as eccentric as it is lovable. Ms. Layne’s writing style is approachable and immersive, making it so easy for me to lose myself in the pages (in a great way – NOT in a ‘I have no idea of what’s going on’ way 😊). Each book introduces a new mystery, often tied to the supernatural, and the twists are clever without being overly complex - perfect for fans of cozy mysteries. So, whether you’re a fan of paranormal tales, cozy mysteries, or simply looking for a feel-good series to curl up with, Paramour Bay is a magical escape that will leave you smiling. It’s a perfect brew of mystery, magic, and heart. Highly recommended for readers who enjoy a touch of whimsy with their whodunits. Let the Binge Begin. Happy Reading…
Zombies and a marriage proposal are the perfect way to make this a happening thing in this tale by Kennedy Layne. Lighted jack-o-lanterns, spooky music, and scary costumes set the scene for the annual trick-or-treat event in Paramour Bay. The village druid has spent most of the past year preparing for something dire that only she has foreseen, giving Raven and her friends little insight on what to expect or how to prepare for yet another apocalyptic event. I borrowed this book from Kindle Unlimited. This in no way affects my opinion of this book which I read and reviewed voluntarily.
Book 22 in this lovely paranormal cozy mystery series set in Paramour Bay. All the usual suspects are here on Halloween, Raven, Mr Leo, Liam, Heidi, Rowena, Beetle and everyone else. They're all on alert to stop the uprising which Agnus, the Druid predicts will happen.
Things start to happen at dawn when a grave is empty at the graveyard and a recently deceased member of the town has started to walk again.
Then there's the seance at Madame Rose's, but when Raven realises something is amiss, it's all out war, as someone has been setting spells around them for a while!
Will they all live to tell the tale and celebrate Ravens birthday?
I loved the book and can't wait for the next book to be released.....
Books best read in order of publication to preserve continuity of the characters.
Hallow Blend by Kennedy Layne is the twenty-second book in her Paramour Bay Mystery series and I have to say it is a scary adventure for witch Raven Marigold, her cat familiar Leo and the rest of the paranormals in Paramour Bay. They have been preparing for zombies to appear on All Hallow's Eve after receiving a warning from local druid Agnus. I enjoyed following along when a zombie does appear and Raven suspects a voodoo priestess is responsible. I especially like the surprise ending! This was a really fun cozy mystery.
For the last year, the supernaturals of Paramour Bay have been trying to figure out the druid’s warning....now, we find out: hex sacks/bags, an empty grave, out of towners and a late night se’ance. Can you really have a zombie uprising if there’s only one zombie? Read on for the answer to this question and more! Definitely one of my favorite episodes in a favorite series!!🦇🦉🐿🐈⬛
Raven and friends have be preparing for the Zombie apocalypse for about a year. I have been very excited for this book. So many twist and turns in this one. Loved, Loved, Loved the ending. Can't wait for the next one. Another great story by Kennedy Layne
There is not much I can say besides how much I love this series and look forward to the next book. Not sure how long the author will continue Raven's story. This is a series I can't put down.
We finally find out what Agnus has been planning for. Our crew bands together to find and fight the undead, but more importantly, the one who caused it.
I don't think I'll ever grow tired of this series. The combination of a group of eclectic characters with unique mystery plots is top notch. Each book is unique and doesn't follow a set pattern like some cozies do. The humorous dialogue is outstanding.
