AW Hart – Gunslinger Bk 9 – Killer’s Requiem – Reviewed 8/31/21 – Read 8/30-31/21
The end of the trail is here now, and River Hicks will finally tell all to Conner & Abby Mack!
Abby and Conner Mack have come to love and respect River Hicks since he rescued them from their terrible and cruel father back in Texas. He has been their mentor as they have traveled from Texas to the West Coast with Oregon as their final destination. He told them that when they arrive that he will finally reveal the truth behind their flight and why he rescued them. They have had gunslingers, Pinkertons, and all kinds of trouble come at them since the first day, but through it all, River has been there for them, teaching them how to survive.
When they arrived, they found that they are now facing a ruthless gunman that is a zealous killer for hire that has his ruthless devotees that will obey his very words. As the secrets of the past come to light, they fully understand now why River was an accused man and that part of the reason that they were there was to clear his name, but there is so much more to learn.
Join Abby and Conner as they learn the horrible truths and River seeks justice for all three of them…
What did I like? Dang, this has been a rip-roaring series, and finally, we learn all the secrets, and OH WOW, what an eye-opener! It has been a pleasure to ride the river with this group and see the growth in the kids as River teaches them. To also watch River’s love and respect grow for the kids too. I will miss them and only hope that the Author might consider adding more books telling us how they have managed with this new discovery of their lives.
What will you like? If you have read any of the books in this series, you already know the kind of action to be expected, well, triple that and throw in some incredible weirdo killers that have been hired to dispose of the trio. It starts in the first chapter, and it ends on the last page. Be sure to have a few tissues around for the ups and downs that will occur as Abby does as she always does, trying to help out with disastrous results. I certainly hate to see the end of this series as I have enjoyed each and every one. AW Hart’s “Killer’s Requiem” in the Gunslinger series is AVAILABLE NOW!!!

Hicks, Conner and Abby, certainly know how to bring peace and tranquility to those in need, regardless of what the circumstances might be. Very heartwarming experiences throughout this compelling story of unending excitement, with enough gunfighting to fulfill anyone's desired expectations!
Most definitely another five star masterpiece by Mr. Hart, as this interesting trio of misfits continuously bring peace and security to those responsible for their wrongful misdeeds! No slow downs, when Hicks decides it is time to end his brother reign of terror, and his associates certainly take pride in their commanding assignments with gusto! His brother, who has no qualms whatsoever about who he kills, is an irrational leader of a bunch of murderous thugs!
The Author's superbly descriptive storylines successfully maintains anyone's undivided attention from beginning to end, and his descriptive renditions of each and every new encounter continues to add more entertaining revelations of unending gunfighting excursions throughout this polarizing western masterpiece! Too, the selections could not have been any better selected for their commanding assignments, as each new adventure only intensifies with each passing encounter!
Most definitely recommend this superbly entertaining revelation of realistically motivated old American western folklore extravaganzas to all readers, regardless of what your reading pleasure might be! You dyed in the wool western fanatics will, most definitely, find yourselves unable to put this compelling western series of unending gunfighting excursions from beginning to end! Even you non-western enthusiasts will be completely engrossed immediately, finding yourselves unable to put the book aside until the final sentence has been read! Y'all will, most definitely, find yourselves riding along with Hick's, and his outstanding characters, as they continuously bring justice to those responsible for their own misdeeds!!!😃

Connor and Abby have been mostly raised by River Hicks, whose real name is Hannibal Durer. His brother, Alexander is Connor and Abby's real father. Alexander is pure evil . He is the owner of the lumber mill that his father and River built. Alexander killed his father and wife and put the blame on River, many years ago. Now he is back to clear his name and get the kids their inheritance. Will truth prevail?

Final book of River Hicks?
Excellent book for the series. Question is, is it the final book of the series? This book and story had a lot of meaning and ended the right way. This book had a good bit of action as well as caring a?nd common sense. I'd like to see more of this series in the future.

Finally Abby and Connor know the whole story of their paternity. Owen is recovering and the mill is running again. Alexander has been dealt with fairly. Hope River gets his pardon.
