Sebastian has been the tracker for his kind for the last two centuries, he was bred to be the best for the enforcers.
When his mate is stolen, he is dying inside from his misery but keeps going in order to find her again.
Aria has suffered brutal torture and is losing herself to the utter devastation.
The only think that keeps her from slipping under is the memory of the love she now has lost.
Deciding to fight or try to escape will be the hardest she has had to do but.. Will it make a difference?
Can either of them overcome what has happened to get to each other?
Their bond and need for each other should be powerful enough but the demons won't stop trying to harm them.

This was an intense and heart breaking start to the story which absolutely shattered me with their separation.
I was emotionally fragile reading this all the way through but my heart was definitely eased by the story's progression.
Aria is the strong woman you need in this type of read and was determined to cling onto the love she felt.
Sebastian is a powerful man who would move heaven and earth to reach his mate.
Their pain is written so beautifully that I felt every stab and salty rub in every wound.
The characters were wonderful and inspired with a story that will stay with me.

This one broke me a little bit. It's such a sad beginning of the story but such as J. Thompson does she delivers a blinding story of love lost only to be found under dire circumstances.

It's an intense read, my emotions were all over the place with this one but the one thing I loved most was how badass Aria is. Oh my word she is something inspiring and spectacular to read. The pain and suffering she endures before her freedom I have no words for nor could I describe. She has her scars left to heal and some old memories that need to be revived but also demolished. But what is still left standing is a woman so fierce and strong you can't help but be at awe of her.

Sebastian is a force all on his own. He is protective, loyal, dangerous against those who threaten his loved ones. But he is filled with remorse and regret over losing his mate especially after realising Aria is still alive. So the pair of them together have to rebuild something they believe to be long forgotten and needs to be forgiven. But love is love and it always finds a way and really never disappeared in the first place.

I am so far gone for this series it's all consuming. I cannot wait for the next Alpha to melt my heart.

The Desire Series by J. Thompson is the first series I’ve read about succubi (and that’s saying something, I have read A LOT of fantasy). I enjoyed learning about these mythical creatures and how much they revered their females. The mating bond was also unique. Much like many mythical creatures the succubi live a long time and rely somewhat on blood for different purposes.

This series gets better with every book. I love how as the series develops more character POV’s are shared throughout the book. The primary pair of characters in Dark Possession was Aria and Sebastian. Aria is such an intriguing and fun character to read about. She becomes this fierce female warrior when normally the Succibi males are the only ones to train and protect the females. Sebastian is part of the Enforcers and is finding it difficult to live without his bonded, Aria. Aria has been lost to him for decades when she was taken and held captive.

Overall, this was a sexy, adventurous, and dark romance. I recommend this book to fantasy romance readers looking for spicy scenes and longing throughout.

This is Seb’s and Aria’s story. Having lost his mate when she was taken by the vampires Seb has never lost hope in finding her and would go out hunting every day for her. Aria hasn’t got off lightly her memories are fuzzy she can only remember certain things and having fled her captors she is living in hiding until one chance meeting has her burping into her mate again even though she doesnt realise it. Once these two get reacquainted all i can say is Wow... their chemistry is zinging and Sebs love for her has never diminished. As you read you are just hoping and praying that Aria gets her memory back. A lot goes on in this book a lot of secrets are exposed. There are a lot of twists and turns and its packed full of action and drama. We also get to see the other enforcers and their mates and see how they have been getting on. I loved this book and enjoyed reading their story and I cant wait to read more

Oh man , it gets better and better with every book. My god! This one was heaven to read, my emotions are all over the place. There were so many revelations from the past and the best was that it had all the main characters. Initially I thought this one will only be for Sebastian & Aria like the other two books in the series but no it had all the Enforcers' story. Each enforcer’s life was a bliss to read. The book has all the emotions and tropes- from love to hatred to enemies and with the upcoming war, the intensity increased by the end. This one was a total action packed with a fast paced story. The chemistry between all the Alphas are basically family goals and the devotion they show towards their bonded mates will melt your heart. For the storyline you can check synopsis. Looking forward for the fourth book in the series i.e. Dark Seduction.

This is a NON-SPOILER REVIEW of Dark Possession, the third book in the Dark Desires series by J Thompson. I read this book as a drop-in and absolutely loved it! Despite not having read the first two books (which I definitely intend to remedy!), I was not lost. There is enough back story to give the reader a strong footing in the series. Aria and Sebastian are an amazing pair and their bonding is wonderous. I love the way that Aria comes into herself and Sebastian is strong enough to accept her. A great book with lots of action, drama, trauma, steamy sex and sexy characters! This a Mature Readers Only read that can be read as stand alone. There is some resolution, but the book sets up for the next book in the series.

This was an amazing story! I loved every second of it. I couldn’t put it down. I couldn’t wait to see what happened next. I am looking forward to reading the next book in the series. I loved the interactions between Aria and Sebastian.

Aria was taken just before their bonding ceremony but Sebastian never stopped looking for her. As one of the Alpha Squad, he has done his duty. A chance encounter in London brings Aria back into his life. She has changed but his love for her is still there. Aria doesn’t remember her life before her imprisonment. She knows that she feels safe with him. When her past comes back to haunt them, will they be able to defeat it together?

This is book 3 in Thompson's Dark Desire series and while this is the third book in the series, this is the first one I've read and I absolutely loved it! Thompson delivers a well written, steamy romance with amazing characters. Aria and Sebastian sizzle in this page turner of a read. Definitely for mature audiences but I thought it had a great balance overall. While this can be read as a stand alone, it definitely sets the stage for more in this series which I am eager to read!

This is Sebastian and Arias story. Not going to lie this messed with my emotions. Sebastian’s love/mate taken years before and he had been unable to locate her, he still pines for her and hasn’t gotten over it.

Aria captured tortured and more or less endured hell manages to escape and rebuilds a life. The resilience and strength she has makes her a force to be reckoned with. Later n in the book you find out how bad ass she is. There are some twists and turn in this book which I enjoyed. This series has been great and would recommend it.

The third book in the Dark Desire series a well written suspense story that kept me turning pages. This series is just getting more intense with each new book. This is mainly Aria and Sebastian's story, there is suspense, drama, danger, twists, turns, one really nasty villain, and romance. I want to read the next book.
