81 books220 followersI credit my interest in writing romance to my grandmother. She gave me my first Harlequin to read during the hot summer days I spent on my grandparent's acreage in rural Oklahoma.
Immediately I was hooked!!!
Over the years, I would pick up a pen and write down ideas, but it wasn't until I joined Romance Writers of America and then Oklahoma Romance Writers did I become serious. During that time, I completed eight novels.
The first two will never, ever see the light of day. In fact, I should probably destroy these so no one accidentally reads them! Around my third book, I joined a critique group and began to really study the craft of writing.
From there I entered entered several writing contests. In March 2003, one part of my writing dreams came true when I finaled in the Golden Heart.
In late 2000, I learned I placed Honorable Mention in Harlequin's Blaze contest, and began corresponding with the editor who bought my first book. I also won a writing round robin on eHarlequin, which was loads of fun!
On December 18, 2003, I got "The Call" from Harlequin. Actually, my answering machine received the privilege. My seventh novel, Never Naughty Enough was published as a Harlequin Temptation Heat. My sixth novel, Share the Darkness, will be published in April of 2006
I make my home in Oklahoma (where many of my books are set) with my husband and two children. My hobbies include reading, water aerobics with my mother every morning and watching OU play ball. The least domestic thing I like to do is cook.
I met my then future husband as a freshman at the University of Oklahoma (Go Sooners!!), but we didn't marry until after I received my Master's from Missouri State (Yea Bears!). My husband hero often worked overtime so I could attend RWA's National Conferences. The most romantic thing he ever did was arrange for his parents to watch our children so he could drive me to Houston, Texas for the Emily Awards.

This is an action packed suspense filled romance with strong characters in Ward and Hannah. The author does a great job pulling you in with all the anxiety and fear,suspicion and danger and tons of sexual tension and steamy romance. She had me glued to the pages from start to finish reading their story. It's well written,moves fluidly and is a fantastic read! Loved and recommend this book.

A suspenseful and steamy read. Hannah has been living in the shadows for the last 4 years in Witness Protection after testifying against her ex-fiancé and his crime ring. Her life is in danger and she’s been relocated more than once before.
When Ward Coleman shows up as the new head of security for the company she works for, Hannah is suspicious and fears she is been found once again. Ward is actually undercover on an FBI assignment trying to find the culprits in a money skimming scheme. His agent radar is tingling over Hannah and he has her pegged as a prime suspect in his case.
A loss of power traps them in a hot elevator on a Saturday and physical attraction to each other overcomes both of their intentions to not get involved with each other. As Hannah’s actual identity is shared, Ward is caught between walking away now and avoiding the heartbreak later or staying to protect her and enjoying their time together for as long as they can and putting off the goodbye until later.
Surprises, betrayals, and a change in Hannah’s goal drives this story to a suspenseful and exciting conclusion.

Excellent Read! I loved every moment of the book, out was paced just perfectly and it pulled me right in. I thought the game that Hailey came up with the fate cards fit and it was unbelievable when she took the card that was meant for Amy’s bridesmaid. Amy and Jake characters were a good fit, loved the way Hailey helped the both. I cried when Hailey turned Nate down when he asked her to wait for him. I could not wait to turn each page as I was reading and will definitely be looking for more from this author. A page turner for me and looking forward to reading more from this author. The game was fun and watching them fall was heartwarming, loved this story! The author’s storyline has its ups and downs in emotions and feelings, the romance shoots straight to your heart.

Garrett and Hannah have it all.
Hannah has secrets and Garrett needs to know what they are before he can pursue her. Then they get trapped in an elevator during a power blackout.
Intense book of ever there was one. I did love the dynamic that Garrett bought. He was all man and just wanted to protect Hannah, whether from herself or some outside forces.
Very well written, I enjoyed the written style of this book as it was fast paced and easy to read. The characters were well defined and the dialogue spot on. A really enjoyable book.

Loved the book it was great the story had your toes curl and the characters Ward and Hannah was amazing. Ward an undercover FBI agent gets trapped in an elevator with a suspect chemistry was so strong to not follow through with it to see what happens. Hannah was trapped in the elevator and with the instant attraction she would not deny herself and see where it took her. Will he find the answers that he is looking for.

Ward is undercover FBI as security, looking for someone skimming the company. Hannah sets off his radar as someone lying until he finds out she is actually in witness protection and in danger. The characters and storyline are written really well as the story sucks you in and will not let go. The surprises, twists, drama, and romance all fit together well and the book was very entertaining to read. Loved how situations developed. Well done.

Goodness me what a story this one is; it's full of secrets, lies, dark, light, twists, turns, misunderstandings, assumptions, pain, grief, doubt, hope, trust, belief and love. I loved Hannah and Ward, they were great characters individually and had good connection, chemistry and passion, I thought they were really good together and I enjoyed seeing them find their way to their HEA.

So, I actually read Sworn Protector first ( I rarely read out of order ) but, this was so good when I read the excerpt, I just had to! Hannah and Ward are just perfect for each other. Ward is so fierce... especially in his protection of Hannah and she is so sassy/sweet at the same time, it is the perfect mix!! If you love romance and a little bit of thrill, this is your book! Now I'm on to the first book and I am so excited! :D

Ward was undercover for the FBI and Hannah was his prime suspect. He knew she was hiding something. Trapped in an elevator, they allowed their attraction to take over. After their rescue, the truth comes out. Great story. Loved Ward and Hannah!

The fourth book in the Sworn series a story that kept me turning pages, there is so much happening in this story.Hannah and Ward's story has suspense, anxiety, drama, danger, fear, suspicion, villains, twists, turns, and romance. Hannah is certainly not who Ward thinks she is!
Trapped in an elevator, their mutual attraction won't be denied.
When the truth is known, Ward has a difficult decision, walk away, or protect! You know what I was opting for right?
Steamy suspense you won't want to put down, at least I didn't want to!

What a read!! It is action packed with suspense, danger and so much more. I loved the characters and how the story developed. It captivated from beginning to end. Ward and Hannah are combustible with loads of chemistry. Hannah is trying to run and escape her past when she encounters Ward. Ward's suspension is high. This is a very intriguing plot!

It's an emotional thriller and the plot keeps me turning the pages. There's a lot of undercurrents in the storyline which makes it even more interesting.

I really enjoyed this book! The storyline was well developed, the characters were complex and well developed and the story world was detailed. The writing drew me in, and I felt immersed in the story! I always look forward to more books by this author and would recommend this book!

It's a fun entertaining story, but it also got a bit cliche. An FBI agent is attracted to Hannah, but also distrusts her behavior until he learns why she is like that. After that, he mainly wants to protect her. Hannah hasnt had the opportunity to start a relationship with anyone for a long time, and now she wants to protect herself. Occasionally there are some psychological descriptions, how she got this way and what she feels. FBI Agent Ward doesn&;t start out as the most likable person, but he does improve. The beginning is funny, how Ward is always confronted with a kind of game card and a fortuneteller
