THE ARGUMENT FOR HOLINESS: The Pursuit of Holiness

In this book, I expose the lies of the hour saying that holy living and separation from the world are not necessary. The spirit of Jezebel is prominent in so many churches, flaunting its lust and opposition to true righteousness. This book is not about organizational standards or the UPCI standards but instead Bible standards. God does not judge us by organizational standards. The charismatic spirit promotes loose living and a wrong definition of grace. For many, grace has become a license to sin. If you are born again, you must also live a holy lifestyle. Holiness to the Lord is required to make Heaven just as much as the new birth is. You can be born again, but if you are not holy, you will not be saved. Does not the Bible say that without holiness, no man shall see the Lord? Your definition of holiness is not needed nor wanted. It is plainly defined by scripture. It has everything to do with our lives. It includes the teachings of hair, dress, entertainment, the company we keep, our conduct, conversation, how we dress, and much more. This book is not so much about those details but does give a strong defense and voice for the need to be holy. Sadly, so many men that stand behind the pulpits in churches will not preach the message God requires. The blood of these precious souls will be on the hands of those compromising preachers. As we are in a pursuit of holiness to the Lord, we must first consider our hearts. The outward appearance is as grave clothes if we are full of dead men's bones.The holiness of God is clear and evident throughout the scriptures. The carnal will bypass it, and they pick and choose from the Bible like a buffet of food. He will require of us on the judgment day. Ignorance will not be an excuse. If it were, we could all throw away our Bibles and go to Heaven. While living for the world we picked up so many bad habits, but what if we began to pick up habits of holiness? So many want to cry, "those are your convictions", but if the Bible says it, God meant it. There is really no such thing as a "Christian holiness". True holiness is based on scripture. Without scripture involvement, it is a personal conviction.The subject of Christian living is for men just as it is for women and approaching holiness, we know that it all begins on the inside. Because a person dresses in "holiness clothing", does not mean he is righteous before the Lord. The hidden man of the heart must be clean and holy as the outward man. You will see in this writing, that we take a strong stand for the outward appearance.The four chapters are "The Jezebel Spirit", "Watchman on the wall", Spirit of Holiness" and "Cleansing the Temple". This book has definitely challenged me to return to the scriptures and look again to what holiness is and to examine the principles of holiness that I have practiced in my walk with God, I agree the word has to be our only source for instruction in holiness.
