We all hear about the power of positive thinking but this book is actually telling us about the limits of positive thinking and that with hard work you need definitely good doses of Luck otherwise you are going nowhere...refreshing to read.

A very interesting book - informative and useful - about luck, its implications on our success and failure. I have never before thought about luck in such a different way as now after reading this book.

The author present us with very challenging yet extremely informative ideas, and sometimes I felt amazed by the sheer depth of his argument for luck as a major force in our lives.
I was so shocked to read in Chapter 7, Luck of the Irish, about Ginger hair and luck :
'' The Irish seems to be more commonly born with red/ginger hair thanks to the high prevalence of the V60L allele, also informally known as the ‘ginger gene’, in their genome. According to a study by Dr Saioa Lopez, approximately 10% of the Irish population are born with this gene, compared with
roughly 2% of people from other nations. This often leads to paler skin, and as a result, the Irish are more susceptible to melanoma and other similar conditions, which once again exposes the Irish to potential bad luck.'' for me this is mind-blowing.

It’s such an eye opening book, full of new information that is so unheard of. I’m glad I found this book helping me with understanding luck and its ways. I always felt like I am a lucky person but this book showed me a new way of feeling lucky.

Luck is the most unpredictable force we know, yet we should dive deep into our nature to find solutions for experiencing the optimal life.
The author challenges the notion that hard work is the only way to success. He shows it's not.
The author sees luck as the engine and hard work as the wheels, which don't work if the motor is absent. Therefore, life challenges us to acknowledge luck as an immeasurably strong force that channels people to light and success.
He begins the book by talking about the history and development of luck over the centuries. He takes examples where luck had played a crucial role. He then shows scientific studies that demonstrate how this invisible force that we call luck, allows only a tiny portion of the population to be rich, whereas the majority of people are relatively poor in comparison. (Pareto Law).
We might find the answer if we listened to our inner spirit and if we patiently self-introspected our life. Perhaps, luck would be visible if we listened to our inner spirit and did self-introspection to look inside our personality and way of thinking.
The book is interesting and compelling. The topic explored is fascinating and stimulating. This book is way more practical than I thought. I've read many books that highlight the importance of luck, but none of these attempted to domesticate it.
If you are looking for a way to combine your hardworking attitude with a more luck-based way of thinking, you must read this book. The book is easy to digest and perfect for beginners also.

The Holly Book of Luck is a fantastic book that might alter your viewpoint regarding effort and achievement. While the majority of people believe that success cannot be achieved without effort, luck also plays a significant part in achieving success. The Author has discussed how luck is a key factor in success. There is no turning back once you start reading it since it is an engaging and incredibly engrossing read for a book full of secrets.

This book confirms to me my permanent belief in luck as the main engine for success and happiness, I have seen my own lazy cousin who never did any serious work in her life win £100.000 in the lottery ! This is a book about luck, obviously. Alzein wrote about luck THOROUGHLY. Luck in history, religion, famous people, etc. The book gets better as you turn the pages, as he started to discuss more about the principle of luck and personal stories.

When you read The Holy Book of luck, you feel as if someone just thrown a big stone in static stagnant swamp, you can imagine the shock! how dare someone comes and tells us your success depends on luck and not hard work? this is gross grave blasphemy against all the old mantras, yet the author managed to destroy all what we thought was untouchable regarding hard work and success. You need to treat this book like a book you have to master for university exams. It's brilliant.

Very interesting book to read, the author wrote this book based on early traumatic accident which shaped his views about luck and life, the most interesting part is the ovarian lottery chapter, and then luck and stars constellations, I recommend this book for easy enjoyable and very interesting read.

I'm a little snobby about self-help books - like many things, there's a handful of excellent ones, and a lot of rubbish. This book falls into the former category, excellent and easy to read. Will happily recommends.
