Everyone has the power to make a difference in the world, as long as they know where to start. You’ll have everything you need to stand up and be a force for change.
Great read! I got through it in one sitting. I found this book really useful in shedding light on the positive impact of activism. In a time when the world is struggling to find its ethical heart, we are having to decide in which ways we want to contribute to a better society - and this book takes you outside of the usual protest/rally stereotype to examine what social change really is. That being said, it’s also not too overwhelming. It’s a positive and digestible read. I learnt a lot of artivism, craftivism and other forms of calling out injustice. The results of movements in my lifetime - let alone in the last centuries - are astounding. Many people have shaped the lives we live today, and fought for the freedoms we enjoy - again, this book brings those people’s work to life.
This little book is a true gem, it shows how can can all do a little something every day to make our world, our community and our every day environment a little bit better. The way the author make this subject so easy to understand and brings this very wide subject down to the every day people that we are or that we encounter on our day to day is wonderful.
