Great read! I got through it in one sitting.
I found this book really useful in shedding light on the positive impact of activism. In a time when the world is struggling to find its ethical heart, we are having to decide in which ways we want to contribute to a better society - and this book takes you outside of the usual protest/rally stereotype to examine what social change really is. That being said, it’s also not too overwhelming. It’s a positive and digestible read.
I learnt a lot of artivism, craftivism and other forms of calling out injustice. The results of movements in my lifetime - let alone in the last centuries - are astounding. Many people have shaped the lives we live today, and fought for the freedoms we enjoy - again, this book brings those people’s work to life.
