This book talks about old age, how we are helpless when it comes to aging, how situations and our perspectives change along with age; how rapid urbanisation and fast development affect a family.

Even if it's a translated version of the book,it manages to grip the reader from the first till the last page of the book.

Sensitive issues like death, separation, literacy and old age issues are tackled so well that it makes the reader feel & unravel with great depth what the author is saying in each and every sentence.

The prose is so rich in the way the words have been chosen, places & different characters described so well.

The emotion that runs through the whole story is built up so well without letting the reader know that the last paragraph would make the reader cry as if the whole world has gone dark.

Philosophical references as well as scientific views given in detail without making the story derange the flow in between.

The one book I will always remember and cherish.
