The Good Let me start off with what I did like about this book: Amelia, her chapters reminded me of how much I loved The Coven & Academy series. Nadia… I really liked this character. Tegan & Tenn felt like they had during The Academy series, I liked the return of them much better like this. Lily Kenny & Kiki Koth learning of Amelia & Maddox The ending with the couples. The art work at the end.
The Bad so much bad: The Lancaster Family summit. Major WTF, the whole thing was convoluted mess. It felt like the author took a bunch of ideas, threw on a wall & whatever stuck she just wrote. It made no sense, it didn’t flow, and it made me feel bad for Jackass Jackson. As he was the loser in this mess, his only purpose is the return of the King. The Angels… everyone is a damn Angel. WHAT! And yet with all that power, they could do naught. Nevermind the whole soulmates who mate with others, because of greater good. Yeah, nope! The Seelie Queen story & all that’s connected to that. Yeah again like the Lancasters, whatever stuck to the wall was inserted. Hot mess!
Finally WTF: Savannah! Look I liked her at first, found her funny. Then she turned on Gigi & I didn’t like her as much. Then the last book & this book that should be about Saffie & Riah, was Savannah world & we’re stuck reading her stupid ass verbiage & annoying ass. She’s Tegan 2.0 and not the good upgrade, the one that make your phone work worse. She’s blessed by Archangels & Goddess alike! She’s loved by all, she always saves the day! She gets the best initiation since Tegan. Yet Nadia, selfless wonderful, had such a hard life Nadia wasn’t even granted a decent initiation. She was just used & toss away.
I wish we had gotten more of The Actual Coven characters in this book, like Bently or Cooper or heck some insight on Henley. Little time of Deacon & Amelia. This book was exhausting at times with the non stop battles, very little romance, very little Imo of Saffie & Riah. I wanted more time of them. Less of Savannah, more of The Coven.
Epic does not begin to describe this book. Wow. All I can say is wow. This is 600 pages of awesome epicness. I love how it tied back to situations/questions from the first season (this is the last book is season 3). Some questions are answered, some not and of course, there are now new questions. It does answer many of our questions, though. This book is not one that you can just sit down and read through. It has so much that it has to be read in chunks. I read for a while, then put it down for a while, then went back to it. You will love this book, but you must start with the first season - The Coven: Elemental Magic. I cannot wait to see what else Chandelle has planned.
Chandelle has done it again. This book was fantastic and I am in awe of this story. I was on the edge of my seat the entire time and cried tears of joy, laughter, and sorrow. I can’t wait for more!
I give this book 4 1/2⭐️ I really enjoy this book. It was duel point of views , fast paced. The emotions had me tearing up, screaming at the edge of my seat overall a fun ride
WOW this ending is simply epic! It’s been one hell of a ride and this final book answers all of our outstanding questions. Theo world building has been amazing, the storyline exciting and gripping and oh so captivating and then there is the surprises and the twists and turns. Its been emotional, this has made me laugh, this has made cry and this made me cheer as we got closer to the end and what a satisfying ending it is. I have very much enjoyed this series and is one I would definitely read again.
OMG. I don’t know what to say. To say this book was a page turner is an understatement. I could not put it down. We have all been waiting for over a year for this book and I can confirm it was worth the wait. Please, do yourself a favour and RUN to buy this book. If you have not read the complete Coven series, what are you waiting for ???? The conclusion to Saffie story was everything and more. We learned so many things, met so many new characters ! I have shivers just thinking of it. I cannot wait for the next story Chandelle has in store for us. Brb, will go read it again, and again, and again, and again…..
3 1/2 stars. Parts of this story were amazing and emotional. Parts of it were frenetic, confusing and overwhelming. Spoilers ahead- *******
I enjoyed reading Saffie’s story. I had not reread the previous book so I struggled a bit to remember all the characters and what had happened. That’s on me.
But so much happened in this book that it became confusing. The fact that so many people were angels seemed unnecessary. The fact that they all had other names and some had soul mates different than their spouses, was extremely confusing. I struggled to remember who was who and who went with who. I even started getting confused about who was the parent of who. I don’t like feeling that I should have to take notes in my pleasure books to keep things straight.
I loved Amelia and enjoyed when she was part of the story. I liked most of Savannah’s story and was glad she became part of the Coven.
The battle scene went on for so long that I had to take breaks. It was overwhelming and depressing. I know that a battle might be like that- but it seemed excessive. Especially to them kill off so many one after another - only to bring them back.
I thought that the introduction of the temporary hangman (he was in so short a time, I forgot his name) was sad. He never even got initiated. It just seemed cold. Even if he died with a smile on his face.
Also, Nadia’s story was really upsetting. After all she went through- she dies. She barely even gets to be part of the Coven. I know the author mentions that people felt bad, but I guess I didn’t see the purpose of it all. It seems she was just a placeholder till Lily returns. It was sad and upsetting.
I’m not sure I really enjoyed Henry taking over Jackson’s father. I get that he was reincarnated but he had a whole new life. It felt like he was possessed and stopped having any control. It also seemed a bit pat that his wife of the time doesn’t care because her job was simply to make sure Henry was ok. Also- I can’t imagine that it wouldn’t mess up Jackson that his parents each have separate soul mates.
This definitely wasn’t my favorite book. I think the author just put too many ideas in it. Sometimes it’s best to keep things a bit simpler.
This is the final book of season 3, and it was a whirlwind.
First, I want to address one of the new memebers of the coven who did not last long at all. Nadia got the raw end of the stick. Her parents died, her sister changed for the worse, then died in front of her eyes, and she was the only one who was trying to take care of her neices. Then, when she begged for help from the goddess, she became a coven member only to die but as a sacrifice for her neices... she was sent out in the field too soon, but it was war, so what were they gonna do. It's like she was only placed there with the sole purpose of saving her neices and holding Lilly's spot.
The second fast coven member who replaced Braison, Paul, didn't even make it to initiation. I liked Paul. He was a retired knight and died in battle like he wanted. I would have liked to see more of him. I feel like he was just put there to serve as a coven member dying without having to actually kill any of the beloved coven members...... I appreciated that and hated it at the same time.
Aside from the swiftly changing coven members, it seemed like everybody and their mother was an angel. It kind of felt overdone, but I understand that there is a war coming and the angel reincarnations are needed to fight, but it felt like Oprah handing out angel status to her guests.
Amelia and Landy need their own story dug into more. Amelia is snarky, and I am here for it, and Landy, I feel, still has so much more personality to show. Not to mention, I want to see what she shifts into. We can't forget Amelia and Maddox, I feel that would be an epic enemies to lovers book.
Although it was supposed to be Saffie's story, I feel like she kind of got a small spotlight, like even though she was a big player in defeating the Seelie King, it didn't really stand out. I am happy she got her HEA, though.
The Coven, although they took a lot a loses, found a way to pull through the battle with 2 upper demons and the knights from the Seelie court (meanly thanks to Saffie). Afterward, more family trees and soul mates are revealed. Also, multiple ominous remarks were made from the goddess, a couple we find out before the book ends.
It ends on a happy note, but we all know that won't last long. I am sure there will be a roller-coaster of emotions and action in the next season. I hope we get to learn more about the new hangman and find out what happened to Braison, along with answers to many other questions.
This was an okay series... a bit repetitive and redundant, granted I did read all 3 of the main series. This one was supposed to be the last, and it had its ups and downs. However, at this point, I was highly invested in all the characters. I spent SO much time, never giving up when I started to feel that urge to, and luckily, it would grab my attention all over again.
Anyway, what has me so confused is that the very ending was incomplete. Completely rushed. A total HEA, which in normal circumstances would be a great way to end a very long and tedious set of connecting series. But it did not. There were so many things left unfinished and unanswered. I could make a HUGE list. I mean, the main villain, as well as Lilith, are both unharmed and prowling. They were told this is just the beginning and to prepare for war. The whole main goal was to beat Lilith, and by the end, everyone was getting their HEA, and it's not mentioned. The whole " 3 pregnancies at the same time in the coven" thing never happened. Also, what's up with Frankie? Does that continue in the Wolf Witch book or something? We also didn't really get a precise and clear-cut update on Henley. Also Bentley's mention to Cooper of his soon-coming soul mate.
I could honestly keep going on and on.
WHAT HAPPENED?!
I was soooo ready to have all this wrap up and be done with it. As lovely as the ending was, it felt at least half of a book too premature.
AM I ALONE HERE?!

This is the final book in this chapter of this epic urban fantasy series. The next chapter is coming and I cannot wait for it. An extraordinarily outstanding cast of characters and just an epic storyline. The coven is the head of all the witches in the world. The company is based on a set of Taro cards as each member is represented by a tarot card. In the beginning heaven created the angels in man and in the process the arcana or witches were created to protect mankind. What most humans do not realize is the witches vampires and many other paranormal creatures as well as the people of the Fae worlds actually exist. You will have to read the stories to find out how they are all tied together but believe me when I say this is an epic fantasy. If you loved Harry Potter as a kid growing up or even as an adult then you will love this series. It is not just Harry Potter it is Harry Potter on steroids and toss in the avengers and a quest and so much more into it. Find book one in season one and begin reading And you will not be disappointed. If I start telling you what’s going on I will start giving away spoilers and I do not want to do that. You will fall in love with a lot of these characters some of them will fall but many will survive and fight another day. Get your copies now and begin reading.
I love all of Chandelle LaVaun's books, this being no exception. That being said if you are not actively reading the series prior to reading this book you will be extremely confused. This is the 4th book in the 3rd season of this book series. You will need to download The Coven Insider Guide to remember who everyone is as there is no wiki fandom page to refer to. To add on that many characters in this story go by multiple names, most if not all being Angels or direct descendants Angels. I'm going to need a family tree/venn-diagram for the latter part of this book when we get all the soulmate connections and who is the biological parent of which person cause that overlap is not as simple as the Bishop family. I had to keep a notebook next to me just to keep track. For that reason alone it's getting 4 stars instead of 5. The story itself is amazing and I can't wait to see the characters continue their journey in the next season about Vampires.
But seriously Chandelle, is there any way we can get a fandom wiki set up for this series as it becomes more vast an complicated with each book?
This is the 4th book in the Fae Magic Season of The Coven Series. This book, while still keeping up with all things The Coven, follows mainly Saraphina Proctor. Saffie is one of my favorite characters in this series. She has had a hard life, 300+ years.
This fourth and final book in the season is my absolute FAVORITE. We already know about Riah being her soulmate, but they go into so much more depth here.
Saffie is half arcana (witch) and half fae. After learning, her father is the Seelie Prince, and her life is thrown another curveball because now it is up to her, Riah, her father, and her aunt to kill the Seelie King.
Will they succeed? If so, what will it cost them?
The Coven is fiercely trying to protect the world from Lilith, but every step they get closer, they are thrown a few steps back.
There are soooo many new characters entire the series in this book. Chandelle has such an amazing way weaving in new characters that immediately take your breath away.
The knock one bad guy down, three more surfaces. Will they ever catch a break? Or are they doomed to fail?
Absolutely can not wait for the next book, the Blood Witch, the first book in the next season!
This book is going to take you on a roller coaster ride of emotions. I was up I was down. This is one of the most emotional books thus far in the series. Chandelle has packed a lot of details in this book that will leave you reeling and questioning everything you read. She will have you thinking did that just happen or is there more to it that meets the eye. Can't wait sit for the next season and more answers to the questions she's brought fourth
Spoilers ******** **** *** The book takes off immediately with Emotions on high. Braison trying to protect his coven mate immediately broke my heart but will tie in really well in going to the next season of books. Prince Thorn and Princess Sage had me screaming curse words at the king. But I think the biggest heart wrenching part was the loss of Nadia after finally finding a safe place for Kenny and Kiki.
I did love this book, but I found some parts to be a bit confusing. Maybe a little bit of an overkill with everybody being angels. Not to mention confusing with male angels now female an vice versa. Being angels, But, yet they all really seemed to struggle to win the last battle, yet they are angels with supposedly a lot of power. But in saying that, the majority of the book was good. Very emotional, cried when a bunch of the coven members died. Even got worried when Tenn went down, but I'm so glad they come come. Terribly sadden for the fallen. Not sure how I feel about Savannah, an her being in the coven but also kicking saffie out like that. I get it, she's free now, but damn! An Nadia, sweet selfless Nadia, she was basically just used an killed off. That sucked! Barely anything on Frankie. The new tower card. An nothing on Henley. The book was good but not as good as I'd hoped.

I have absolutely no words to describe how this book made me feel. I was on vacation in Ireland when the book came out and I would read whenever I had the chance because I needed to know what happened. Going to the loo, standing in line, getting coffee, on the train, or winding down for the day. It did not matter I would pull the kindle app up and read. I literally read whenever I could. There were so many emotions in this book. Chandelle really truly is a phenomenal wordsmith. I was on the train to Dublin unabashedly bawling my eyes out at about 65%. Finished reading just as I touched down in London and just *chefs kiss*. Amazing! Fantastic conclusion to Saffie’s story.
What a great read! I have a tendency to prefer longer books and this one met that perfectly. I will admit I was lost a time or two with all the double names and appearing angels. I had to read at a slower pace to keep it all straight. I love all the Coven, but Tegan & Tenn are my favorites. I was excited to see a lot of their unique personalities and relationship showcased in this book. BOOK 4 is basically one big epic final battle for Seelie. It was an action packed finale that left me wanting more yet worried for the story still ahead of us. I cried, screamed and cussed enough for a lifetime & now I'm anxious about the next series for our Coven.
I loved it! I can’t wait to read her season 4! Which is coming out this year! Her books draw you in, and the narrator is great, as you progress!
I am gonna read wolf witch (and the city novellas (which are short and about establishing the NY school with Deacon & Emerson! I don’t usually do novellas but I am very into this series! So much that I am reading all her releases.
As her years progress, I feel her books are a little more older young adult, kinda like you age up with the series! The Fae Magick series yo me was great, and continues her earlier stories but I would say do to some things it’s 16 plus!
But If you like Magick, romance, fairies, witchcraft, paranormal, shifters, angels & demons this series is for you!
Wow, wow, wow. Can’t say enough how amazing this book was. Such an emotional roller coaster that runs the gamut from gut wrenching tears due to heartbreak, to weepy sighworthy romantic moments – keep those tissues handy. Recommend readers start the story early in the day with lots of snacks, because it is very long, and once you start reading, you can't put it down. Major book hangover because there are so many feels and so much action. Now I have to go back and re-read the whole book again immediately to see if I got everything, and to savour the lovely moments. Can not wait for the next installment from this incredibly gifted writer.
Chandelle put her foot on the gas and did not let up!! Me saying "hold onto your socks" is not enough. Using the word "masterpiece" does not seem quite adequate.
For those of us who have waited a year for this book to come out, it was well worth it. For all the twists and turns, the ups and downs, you may be emotionally wrecked after reading this book.
I sign up to ride the emotional rollercoaster that is a Chandelle LaVaun book and will gladly do it again and again!! I so glad I'm one of her Chanwitches on FB because I definitely need the support after reading here series.
Great end to season 3. Much like the end to season 2 only better.
Chandelle is an evil genius. I have never read a book going through so many emotions before. This has been her best book so far. Such a great ending to Saffie & Riah's story. I can't wait for the next season! I about lost my mind a little over half way through the book through. I was like NO NO NO!!!! She can't possibly be that evil. I just needed to take a breather before continuing & was so happy with the outcome. I have never laughed so hard or screamed so loud at a book before. I have become so emotionally invested in these characters & that just go to show how great of an author Chandelle is. I'll read anything she writes.
Grab a box of tissues, snacks and use the bathroom first… Then settle in and read, ignore the house burning down around you… but it’s so so so good!!! Read through it, process, then breathe. Cry, laugh, cheer and boo!! But then realize, you need to read it again, gems, twists & turns await you… Those who need their comeuppance get theirs … and then there is more!!! Please … read, cry, smile and laugh… make sure your ready for this ride!!! I’m getting back in line to ride it again!!
Brava … and damn it … I need to know what happens next!
I cannot believe this is the final book in Fae Magic and what an ending for Saffie’s . I am praying there is more to this SPECTACULAR SERIES.🙌🙌🙌 just love it… The book was definitely a rollercoaster 🎢 ride for anyone reading this…. BEST BOOK 📕!!! You do not want to miss it and I love that all the books have characters from the very first book, even as the group of them became bigger… OMG Cassandra and Pippa !!! OMG 😳 Definitely recommend this book 📖 and series 📚….
Just finished this book and oh my! I loved this so much! Chandelle LaVaun you packed so much into this book! It was amazing and exciting and heartbreaking and uplifting and inspiring and...I'm sure you get the picture! Thank you so much for this book and thank you for not being finished with this world. I was concerned this was going to be the final book and I'm so glad there's more to come. You are an amazing author who weaves characters that I fall in love with and a world I want to visit again and again.
Omg!! Well worth the wait to have Saffie’s final book on hand or well technically on kindle. There is so much in the book. It has it all and still has you wanting more. Chandelle LaVaun has done it again. Be ready to be hooked from the very first page and will have you wanting to play hooky to finish this book. Saffie, Riah, Savanna, Tegan, Tennessee, Bettina, Jackson and all the rest of the Fae, Coven, and shifters go through a rollercoaster of emotions, action, suspense, drama, heartbreak, and so so much more. It’s definitely a must read.. Buckle up buttercup for one hell of a ride.
Another amazing rollercoaster ride of a book! I was blown away and captured from the fisf cThe Death Witch tells Saffie's story and her journey into the Seelie realm. Full of ups and downs, twists and turns, this book does not disappoint. Heartache and laughter are a-plenty which keeps the reader entertained. There are some laugh out loud moments, sadness and crying moments, along with shock and horror moments. This book literally has everything and I struggled to put it down to go to sleep. I can't wait too start the next installment of The Coven.
Chandelle can rip your heart out, put it back, have you on the edge of your seat, make you wanna throw the book, and still gotta turn that next page! I couldn't put it down. I had to know what was next. Omg. This story was worth waiting for! It's the end of Saffie's saga, but definitely not the end for The Coven. I can't wait for more... but oh my heart. I love these characters.
Omg she did not just do that! Chandelle has hit it out of the park for the end of Saffies series. Now waiting patiently for the vampire series to see what the heck comes next. Forget any imaginary wild ride Chandelle takes you on a WILD HUNT and wrings you out to an emotional, fetal position, thumb sucking, sitting in the corner, wanting your Mommy or Daddy to come give you a hug and tell you it will be ok.
Some questions were answered, some more asked. So much knowledge dropped on you this book that answers so much but asked much more. The characters - what a ride for some of them, the emotions were all over the place with this book rightfully so. I'm looking forward to the next season, the Blood Court... Thanks for another amazing book Chandelle
