Lola has a plan. Ignore the talking raven, make some fast cash, and hightail it out of Burberry before the Spring Solstice. You know, in case the bad witch buried in her lost memories wakes up and wreaks havoc on the small town.
But when a coworker’s no good, ex-con ex-husband blows into town, he sets his sights on adding Lola to his crew of degenerates for a heist. After a firm no thanks, and a quick spell to seal the deal, Lola thinks she’s rid herself of the problem.
Then the problem turns up dead! And that’s only half the drama.
With a side-kick like mean girl Dara Henry, the Lost Souls ParaAgency watching her every move, and that darn talking raven, will Lola be able to stop the heist, find a killer, and make it out of Burberry alive by the solstice?

Bad Witch Makes a Blunder is the second book in KM Waller’s Bad Witch series. I really enjoyed this book , it picked up where the first book ended with Lola still not remembering anything or what type of magical powers she has. Lola's new BFF Dara is hilarious , I absolutely love her characters. Dara has a budding romance that is moving at a nice pace. The end really surprised me! This is a great book in a wonderful series. I look forward to the next book in the series.
This is book two of the Bad Witch Mystery series and sees Lola in the last few weeks of her time in Burberry, having been told to leave town before the Spring Solstice, when magic will be at the height of its power and influence. She is still working as a chef in Dara’s diner, finally winning customer’s back, after Dara’s previous history of giving most of her diners food poisoning! She still has Reg from the Lost Souls ParaAgency, keeping a close eye on her and any instance of her using any magic in town, especially against other paranormals. Lola still doesn’t have any of her previous life’s memories back and she really doesn’t want them. She is being followed by a raven, who is linked to the ghostly house that follows her to wherever she ends up, and has so much more to reveal to her. She was making her plans to leave, but was persuaded to continue helping out at the diner and making herself some more money, before she does, when one of the wait staff and Dara’s cousin, Lynette, gets pulled back into the arms of her ex-con, ex-husband Mitch and the plans of his crew, for a heist of some sort in town. Unfortunately, Lynette has talked about some of what Lola can do, making her ex Mitch believe she can hypnotise others and they want her on their team, something she easily refuses and adds a little spell to help Mitch leave. As usual, due to her lack of magical memories and spell work experience, her spell does not quite work how she thought it would. It is only the experience of the three elderly witches, who put her up when she first arrive in town, that help keep her out of the Agency’s hands. Dara tries to take the blame with Reg, but he likes her too much to really take the spell seriously, especially when it was done against a human, even if he turned up dead the next morning! Lynette is blamed by the rest of his crew for the murder of Mitch and soon locked up and under heavy questioning. Lola and Dara’s attempts to learn the truth of the killer’s identity, is another mix of fumbled spells and a bit of danger, leaving Lola having to take part in the actual heist, to find out what they want and how to stop a killer getting away with murder. An annoying talking raven and a young seer witch who is finding her magic hard to handle, are all in the mix along with Lola’s own confusing visions, which she is given some help in deciphering. A group of desperate criminals, with much to lose from someone willing to reveal their secrets, have to be stopped so Lynette can be freed. Lola ends up with some information at the end and also a deal made with the devil, well the raven, which may reveal more than she wants for her future. She has to avoid becoming what she was in the past, having had some tastes of her previous powers, and not liking where it took her. She wants a different future and needs to know more about her past, but it will come at a price! This is a great second book in the Bad Witch series by the author. She always has me entertained from the first page. The characters in the book are well developed. You find yourself laughing and cringing at some of their antics. There are twists and surprises … something you can expect from the author. The mystery is interesting and keeps your attention. But when you get to the final chapter, get ready for a shocking surprise. Grab your copy and get started in the adventure with Lola.
Thank you to NetGalley and Kizzie Waller Books for my advanced review copy. All opinions and thoughts are my own.
I enjoyed the story line of this book which continued from the end of Book 1. Lola’s memory has been taken away by a spell and she still has not gotten it back. She would like to be at least competent in her spells, but she can’t remember what kind of magic powers she possesses. She just knows that she doesn’t want to be “bad” anymore. Her friend Dara Henry is her fun companion who may drive the reader crazy, but the two are good together.
As expected, Lola and Dara get themselves in the middle of another mystery. But can Lola get her magic sorted out enough to find a killer?
Lola was a bad witch until she got amnesia. Now she is trying to straighten up her act by working with Dara at her diner. She intends to move out of town but she is blackmailed into helping some unscrupulous people who threaten her friend. She has some tricks up her sleeve in order to save the day and to remain in the place that feels like home.
A fantastic second instalment of KM Waller’s new series! I loved it! The characters are fresh and the storyline made me want to keep reading! I can’t wait for the next book! I want to know more about these characters I’ve just met!
Generally the second In a series is not as good as the first, but I was delightfully entertained and wanting more. Enjoyed the characters and situations.
Full disclosure, I haven't read the first book in this Bad Witch series, YET, but I plan on working on that soon. Lola is a 'bad' witch who has amnesia and doesn't remember her past. Dara, her BBF is also the owner of the diner she is a cook at, which is a good thing, because Dara CAN'T cook (we're talking food poisoning levels...eeek!). There's a raven (BIG reveal at the end about him! WOW), an annoying agent from a paranormal agency, three old GOOD witches, a hot guy, an emo teen, a house that seems to follow Lola, and a lot of laughs. What more COULD a book want to have???
I think this is a great read for anyone that loves a good comfy paranormal story. I know I found another author I will definitely be keeping an eye on for upcoming goodies.

I quoted that from the book. Bad witch isn’t so bad anymore! Bad witch doesn’t ever want to go back to being really bad. Or will some part of her always be bad? Another quote: “Being a good witch wasn’t getting me anywhere.” So you have to read for yourself, to see what this is all about! She’s learning more about herself and her powers. Lola is such a fun character to read about. The love/hate friendship she has with Dara is so entertaining to read about. Well… maybe not love… Dara is mostly eyerollingly irritating LOL. With her around, you have to count to three a lot. Or to ten. Or a hundred, LOL! She is that character you love to hate but somewhere underneath all that high and mighty stuff hides a caring heart. Maybe. Possibly. A quick, satisfying read. Fun! Amazing! What a wonderful, well-written, page-turnery book!
If there is one person who needs to be got rid of, it is Dara's cousin Lynette's ex, Mitch. But that did not mean "killed" or vapourised, just run out of town so that he never comes back, because he was bad news. But that was easier said than done, and what was worse was that instead of being around and casuing trouble, he ends up being dead and being trouble itself!
I really like Lola and feel so sorry for her as she tries her best not to revert to her old bad witch self, but somehow things just do not happen the way she plans. And that Dara is a right piece of work - happy to push anyone under a bus if she can come up smelling roses. I am gritting my teeth when I say this - why does Lola keep helping her and giving her a chance?! And Lynette, what a loose mouthed bimbo. Grrr! (You can tell I really enjoyed this book, can't you? ;)
Our heroine isn't really bad, honest! But once you have a reputation, it is hard to shake and no one will accept that things are different. Poor witchy!
This is book two of the series but it is written as a standalone. All the essential bits are covered early on.
I really like cozy witch mysteries for a variety of reasons, the most important of which is that they are generally a lot of fun with quirky characters and a pleasant mystery. This one fits that description to a tee. The story is well written and easy to read with a fun cast of characters an an intriguing setting. I really love our heroine who is trying so hard to be good. The result was a wonderful story that I thoroughly enjoyed. Guess I need to go read more in the series.
Highly recommended.

KM Waller’s new Bad Witch series continues to be wonderful and entertaining. Lola still has amnesia, doesn’t remember her past and doesn’t know what powers she has. She is still in Burberry and her new best friend, Dara, has no problem encouraging Lola to figure out and use her powers. Dara and Lola make for a very unlikely hilarious duo and Dara is plotting for them to start a new business beyond the diner. Wonderful other characters as well including Hector, Rachel, and Reg, all of who I hope we see a lot more of in future stories. Dara and Reg have an unlikely romance going on. A real shocking ending as we find out more about Lola and her powers. It’s going to be hard to wait patiently for the next book.
Lola and Dara are back and find themselves embroiled in another mystery. Lola’s amnesia prevents her from understanding her magical abilities and preforming spells that actually work. Putting her past behind her and trying to be a better person is what she wants and continues to work on.
The characters in this series are entertaining and quirky. The storyline was also entertaining. The themes of friendship, trying to do the right thing and not letting your past dictate your current behavior are strong elements in this series. I’m looking forward to Lola’s next adventure.

Im really enjoying this series. I love the magical part of the book the romance is actually picking up in this book which is awesome. It continues where the first one left off with Lola still unaware of her powers or how she got them or basically what is going on. The characters in the book are awesome including Lola's awesome sidekick Dara who is a joy to have in the book. Add to that the romance that is really getting going and you can't help but love this book. A definite must read for everyone. Great ending also. I usually know what is going to happen but this one caught me by surprise.

Fun Paranormal Adventure This episode has so many things going on! I think a new reader will enjoy this book a tad more if they have read episode one, or any of the background stories. But, it still stands alone well and you will love it anyway. Our main character has had her memory spelled away and she wants it back, sort of. While she does not want to be her bad old self, she needs to know some basics. So exciting with a surprise ending! I cannot wait for the next book. Lola is a witch with amnesia living in the small town of Burberry. She was a bad witch, but her amnesia has given her a new lease on life and it's also made her spells a little wacky. Her and her boss Dara are out to solve a crime and the blunders are frequent. It's a quick read that will have you chuckling in spots and also feeling sorry for the pair. I volunteered to read this book via Booksprout.
A delightful second story in the bad witch series. Lola is a great character and actually quite a good person now that she has lost her memory. Is it a blessing or a curse to have your memory wiped? Lola was such a bad person/witch that it could be either. You will love the world building and the characters in this series. A totally wonderful and fun book to read. Try it, you will love it.
Lola is back but is still suffering from amnesia. She has been having a great time with dara, her new bff. This book is seriously awesome. I love the idea of not remembering you are a bad witch and are pretty much ignorant of your terrible deeds. I thought the story was exciting and well written. The characters are really realistic. It is a fast paced and very twisty read. I enjoyed this book very much.

Waller hits it out of the park again with this followup to a new perspective (amnesia) on the witchy cozy. A fun set of characters with well-developed relationships makes this a smooth read that I just had to finish in one sitting. A quick read, but a well-sussed-out plot nonetheless. Looking forward to the next book!

Lola is a witch who has amnesia and does not know what her powers are or what she has done in the past. Her new BFF human Dara and Lola are fun to read about as they try to figure out what is going on in town. Mysteries and murder, a black raven and people who do not want her to remember what she has done will keep you entertained. A fun storyline with quick action and situations. Great ending.

Bad Witch Makes a Blunder is a fantastic book. It is fun and entertaining. I loved the characters. I like how the characters have developed in this book. I really enjoyed the adventures that Lola and Dara get into. This book is well written and engaging. The plot flows well and is interesting. I loved this book and can't wait for more in this series.
Lola still has amnesia, not remembering when she was a bad witch. When a coworker’s ex shows up then winds up murdered, Lola and her best friend Dara look into the murder. A great read, best enjoyed if other books in the series have been read. Love this series! I received a free copy of this book via Booksprout and am voluntarily leaving a review.
Great continuation of the series. Lola still doesn't remember wGreat continuation of the series. Lola still doesn't remember who she was or what she did, but is determined to not let the bad witch she is told she was hurt her new friends. This story nicely blends a mystery, humor, and the challenge of trying to figure out who you were while trying not to be come that person again.
This is a brilliant read. Wonderful well written plot and story line that had me engaged from the start. Love the well fleshed out characters and found them believable. Great suspense and action with wonderful world building. Can't wait to read what the author brings out next. Recommend reading.
I read a complimentary advance copy of the book; this is my voluntary and honest review.
Bad Witch Makes a Blunder is the second book in the Bad Witch Mystery series, part of the Lost Souls ParaAgency universe. I really enjoyed this paranormal cozy mystery. The characters are quirky and the story has humour, death, danger, suspense, and a great sidekick for Lola. I am looking forward to reading the next book in this series. I read and reviewed this book with no obligation.
Lola and Dara have embarked upon a friendship that I think deep down have surprised each of them. Using their gifts and tenacity this duo will take on any mystery to be solved.
Thus story was a fast paced read, but it will not disappoint.
