Rate this book
Since inheriting her late cousin's estate in Steepwick, Maine, Harper Kagel has had an eventful year. Every time she thought her new life would offer rest and relaxation, something else happened to prove otherwise.

And those incidents always led back to a rival family who accused Harper's ancestor of putting a curse on their family. One of them went so far as to hold Harper hostage! Now that the culprit is behind bars, others have taken up the cause.

Soon Harper finds that her cousin's death might not have been accidental, and she and her Cold Case Club are back in action. The rival family's constant harassment threatens to thwart Harper's investigation, and her sleuthing does nothing for her budding relationship with the Chief of Police.

Can Harper embrace her ancestral gifts in time to put an end to the rival family's nefarious plotting, or will she risk the wrath of the most powerful witch in the history of all things magical?

The Death Card is the third book in Prediction: Murder, a quirky cozy mystery from Vickie Carroll. Get your copy and escape into the quaint town of Steepwick today!

This is the 3rd book in the Prediction: Murder series. Even though I haven’t read the first 2 yet, I had no problem picking up the story. Harper moved to Steepwick, Maine, last year after inheriting her cousin’s estate when she died. Harper is learning all about her witchy powers with the help of her Westie, Einstein, and 4 wonderful witchy friends. She has been convinced that her cousin was killed but her boyfriend/ the police chief won’t listen to her. And then there’s the matter of an ancient curse. You’ll love this charming group of characters as they try to figure out exactly what is going on with the added bonus of a sweet little side of romance. Well written to keep you interested until the surprising ending!

“Prediction: Murder: Death” is the third book in the Prediction: Murder series and continues the ancient conflict between two families of witches which has already caused the death of Harper Kagel’s cousin. Harper and her family must come up with a plan to stop the imminent attack of their arch nemesis, Diane Morgan, to steal the ancient spell and cause chaos.

I received a free copy of this book for my voluntary honest review. I found this story very engaging and also enjoyed the romance between Harper and the policeman. I recommend this entire series.

Prediction: Murder: Death is a continuation of an interesting journey for Harper and her trusty sidekick Einstein. Ms. Carroll has created a very detailed magical universe populated with interesting characters. Harper is still discovering a lot about her ancestors as well as her powers. This is a well paced murder mystery with magical elements. I am always engaged for the entire book and have trouble putting it down.

Harper really has her hands full trying to convince John that Diane is going to do her harm even though Diane is in prison. Diane is not going to give up getting free from the curse. And she has help too. There is a lot going on in this mystery that I enjoyed. I received a free copy. I am leaving this voluntary review.

The third in a series, this story tells the tale of a witch and her faithful Westie being pursued by by a family of witches who believe a curse placed by her family is responsible for their years of bad luck. It's an interesting read with lots of suspense and witch lore and a surprise ending.

An awesome book that follows the others perfectly. This one can be read alone but more fun if all are read. The characters are absolutely delightful.
