How do you make a new habit stick? Commit to a plan, practice daily, and keep it simple. These are the guiding principles of The 3-Minute Daily Bible Habit for Men, a book that will lead readers on a transforming 90-day plan to open God’s Word every day. Readers will hear the voice of God in scripture and dig deeper through devotional thoughts and focused questions that will help them apply the Bible to their own experiences―through the blessings and stresses, challenges and celebrations of everyday life.
This book has an interesting set up that I haven't seen before in a devotional, but after reading it, I think I like it. This is a 90 day devotional that you can do in three minutes, or more, depending on how you use it. It's structure is set up with the "three minutes" being used as follows. The title of that days devotional is followed by what "the Bible says" section about that specific topic, followed by a "consider" section that helps you unpack scripture, followed by a "ponder" section that helps you to apply this specific topic to your life. Each devotion is followed by additional verses on that particular topic, and some days, by yet even more scripture. Some devotional topics even spread across two days. You can complete the devotional in as little as three minutes, or even dig deeper in God's Word, depending on what you choose to do, which I just really appreciate the different options presented. Also, there is very little difference between this devotional and The 3 - Minute Bible Habit for Men: A 90 - Day Plan for Daily Quiet Time, except that in the women's devotional, it speaks about women, and in the men's devotional, it speaks about men. Otherwise, it's the same material. *I received a copy of this book from NetGalley. This review is my own opinion*
