The art palette in this story is very soothing and gives off a real vibe of summer pool-time fun that is nostalgic for for adult readers. I love the limited text that is engaging and shows the sensory experience of being at the pool including lots of pool shenanigans. I would love a water-proof version to read at the pool or bath-time!

I received POOL PARTY as a giveaway winner. It is a cute summertime poem, turned picture book. I always read children’s books with my granddaughter, she’s seven, and she enjoyed this book. She loves animals so she really appreciated the animal pool floaties. Shout out to the illustrator for the beautiful artwork that brings this book to life.

The book itself is made of high quality material. The cover and back is very soft a smooth to the touch and the book pages are thick and sturdy. The print quality is excellent, and the bright colors of the artwork really shine through.

I hope this book will find it’s way to many more children’s book shelves this summer. I know they’ll love it as much as my granddaughter and I did!

This enjoyable picture book about a long day in the pool will leave you just as tired and tuckered out as the children in the story. As they play games, dive, and eat slices of watermelon, their friendship strengthens. With beautiful front and end covers that reflect the tiled imagery of a pool's bottom, and unpainted backgrounds that evoke the sort of blinding sunlight echoing off of the concrete, Anne Bentley evokes a highly specific feeling of being at the pool.

Perfect for after a long day spent with your children at the public pool, or perfect for yourself when you're stuck at work, like me!

It's December in Kansas so naturally I find the perfect summer storytime book! The rhyming text is a blast to read and there's just the right amount of it. You can feel the sunshine and smell the chorine radiating from the exuberant and beautiful illustrations. And there are pool floaties galore!
