I enjoyed the characters and their self created family. However, they knew that they should not loop back on themselves and yet the author kept having them continue to do it. Then, they began having 'dreams' that were the same old stories told by different characters over and over ..... simply rewriting parts of the series to extend the length of the book. The story became tedious, and frankly, I just wanted it to end! Now, it will be a"Series of 16"???? I'm not sure that I will continue Ad Infinitum
The fact that the characters were aware not to loop back and overlap, but did it anyway, is an annoying aspect of this book. It holds no substance. AND, the MFC is annoying with all the overexplaning while giving every minute detail of the "daily life" they had.

Re-Read April 2024 in preparation for book 19 Long Live the King — Although this book was just as warped as my previous read, It did make more sense and I wasn’t completely lost. I seriously think that is only bcuz of my recent series re-read so all the story details are fresh in my mind. Also it helps that I know what else happens after this book 😉 - so while you read this book, if you find yourself totally lost and experiencing a bunch of anxiety mixed with “aha” moments - just know you are not alone 🤣😂
New Rating: 5 Stars ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
❤️⭐️❤️⭐️ I don’t quite know what to say about this book. I have enjoyed the series and I love Magnus … but I am just not sure what the overall goal was of this book. There is time travel both forwards and backwards. A time loop with memories being created & erased. Magnus has to defend his throne not only in the future but he also which just didn’t make sense, but sure let’s just change history and be like “Oh well” — then there is the which was highly annoying.
I just felt like this book did nothing for the overall story and only created chaos in a story that is already pretty chaotic. The flipping back and forth between eras was also disjointing while reading — just “poof let’s jump centuries” and the wondering “is this really happening or is it a false memory” — really it all drove me crazy.
This is the "Timey Wimey-est" time travel book ever! It's a rollercoaster and it can be confusing and hard to follow at times but please stick with it, it's worth it.
Just when I thought I had the timeline and time travel technology figured out, there are new enemies, new time loops, new adventures, new memories, foggy memories, forgotten people that are suddenly remembered, OMG I need to read again.
I am biased because I've been attached to these characters for 15 books and kinda feel like I have adopted their family into mine.
I was left hanging a bit at the end and I was left with more unanswered questions than I am used to so I need the author to hurry up and write the next one because I've spent the past week thinking and processing and it's interfering with my productivity.
I received a complimentary copy from the author and I am voluntarily reviewing it.
Diana Knightley can really write a story. I love the characters, I want to spend time with them. I've read every book in this series but when I saw book 15 appear in my library , I read 2 other books before I finally opened it and read the first page. I knew what was coming .Then I couldn't stop. But life is stressful and I read to escape and relax. These books are not achieving that. I discovered the first one and didn't stop till I ran out. It was torcher . I skip the brutal parts and hope some rest from it all will be in the next chapter. I long for a easily resolved misunderstanding. There better be an epic HEA at the end of all this . I think there will be and reading all these amazingly wonderful but infuriating books will be so worth it.
Still holding an emotional roller coaster with action, highs and lows, this newest piece in the world of KATH takes us to all new times. I have faithfully followed Kaitlyn and her Highlander from the beginning and have felt all the emotions with the family through each chapter. Our wonderful, amazing Diana Knightly has built us a world and friends to have with us through good times, sad times, hard times, and the times in between. This book may be the 15 in the series but it held its steam and kept the emotional, on my toes turning the page, attention from the first page to the very last. Several of those pages making me cry happy tears. Thank you for all that you do and for already writing the next chapter into the KATH world for us.
This book blew me away, I was totally lost in it. I was in the present with the group, then in the past then back to the present. One time had to read the page again to make sure I hadn't skipped a page. It was a good story, just a little confusing at times . I hope book 16 brings everyone back together, they are such loving people. I love your books so much, I began reading them May 2,2022 and now I am about to start book 16 and it us May 21, 2022. I totally recommend your books with a 5 Stars review
I still liked the overall story and character development, but I didn’t quite get the constant back and forth, double and triple looping, “time shifts,” and memory lapses. Maybe the purpose of this particular book was to make the reader feel as confused as the characters. What disappointed me the most was that end of the book read like the end of any other chapter. I hope to overcome my disappointment with the next book.

I can not say enough good things about this series! I absolutely love it! The story & characters are so endearing, complex, exciting, and thrilling! I feel like I know them. I love that we get the feel of a contemporary and historical story all in one. I love all things Scotland, and it is just a fabulous escape! I highly recommend this series for anyone who loves great adventures, with lots of action, heart and humor!
Get ready for an adventure beyond description in Ms. Knightley's newest instalment to the Magnus and Kaitlyn series. The twists are mindboggling, the characters are in their best form, and the love story continues to rip at your soul. This is the best ever and my most favourite of the series!! Looking forward once more to the next one!
Difficult to keep track of who is where. Time shifts, memories gone replaced with others. Diana Knightly, how do you come up with this? 😉. Present future future was ok. Add to that now far distant past past. Good story line... When does the next book come out ?
Once again Diana Knightley has knocked it out of the park. As the 15th book in the series, it continues to weave a tangled web of suspense, intrigue, and love. I love all of these characters and so far it’s been an amazing journey. I can’t wait for the next book!
I was really enjoying this series until this one. It seems like Ms Knightley used this storyline as a filler book. The constant memory loss and dream re-enactments of time and the shifts were so annoying that I almost didn’t finish reading. Hopefully next book will be better.
I know in my heart that the only way to get everything back to rights is by everyone being back together . and taking out the evil . Diana Knightley has a kick ass series going here .
This book is the best out of all the books I think! The twists and turns of forgetting people and time shift were insane and kept me on my toes and reading all night. I can't wait until the next book! I need to know what happens!!!!

The ending gave me chills! I’ve never had that happen before…at least I don’t think I have. ;-) Diana Knightley is a genius! I don’t know how she does it, but I hope she keeps on writing Kaitlyn and Magnus’ story for a long time!
The story weaves and builds - then, it jumps forward; back; sideways with excitement at every turn. A story that will hold you and shake you and hold again until you see - The End. Enjoy
Every book is just an improvement from the last. Diana’s writing style is so rich. I’m completely blown away with all the twists and turns. Such a riveting book. I can’t wait for the next
This book has so many twists and turns I’m not sure I can keep it straight. I do know is I am going to be impatiently waiting for book 16 because I need to know that they are alright!!! #cantwaitforthenextbook
This story just keeps getting better and better. On the edge of my seat yet again. I am not sure how Diana keeps all of the history and story lines intermingling but cannot wait for the final reveal.
What a ride! So many twists and turns I’m dizzy. A gripping story with so many references to all the books in the series. How Diana keeps all this data together I’ll never know. Just can’t wait for the next one.
Life.....Begins and Ends, Then Begins again! Memories that May be ours? Last Lives? Who really knows! This Book is a Marvelous addition to this Series!
Magnus the First in the way past to be king. Magnus a king in the future. His life is really spread out all over. A salute to Diana Knightley for Kaitlyn and the Highlander.
Once you start reading the series, you won't want to stop. Can't help but wonder what adventure is next for Kaitlyn, Magnus and the gang. I can't help but read the series over and over again.
DNF...writer must have been on a deadline....this read like a bunch of past plots points from stick-It notes strung together into a story....lazy, confusing storytelling with no real new story arcs...
