Rate this book
From night-driving over the Sierra Nevada mountains in a torrential rainstorm to water trough repairs that go alarmingly awry, from cowboys hooked on soap operas to livestock miscalculations that wind up on national television, Dave Stamey, singer-songwriter, humorist and curmudgeon-in-training, offers a collection of stories, essays and observations about surviving in today's rural American West.

Light hearted, well written, I loved it!

I read this book in one sitting, I couldn’t put it down. Dave Stamey wrote this book the way he writes his songs. Heartfelt, humorous and REAL. I felt like I was right there in each well told story. My only critique would be … I wanted to hear more and didn’t want it to end so soon. Great read. I will be buying more as gifts.

Short stories...based on Dave Stamey's life. All extremely humorous (but with some serious aside commentary.) Well written...virtually could not put it down...wanted to at least to finish each story in one read. Very much enjoyed this book. Mr. Stamey has a great sense of humor.

Ps: Did not read Kindle edition...Had paperback.
