Unspoken. Part Three
After a fractious few months trying to appease her dysfunctional family, Jessica Griffiths realises that her great grandmother Alice’s legacy has become a millstone around her neck.

With her feisty elderly relatives cruising around the South China Sea she is hoping for a less stressful time, but when Leonora, the meddling ex-wife of her lawyer boyfriend begins to plot and with her own ex, Calvin unable to accept that their relationship is over, she begins to feel the pressure mounting again.

Into the mix walks Josh, the handsome young café owner. Jess is drawn to him immediately. Will he be the one to finally break the Mollison man curse?

Jessica discovers new family secrets as she continues to read through Alice’s wartime diaries but more shocks await as Martha hands over her own disturbing memoirs.

With the cruise ship in trouble and problems nearer to home, Jess finds herself at the centre of another family maelstrom.
Feeling desperately alone and with the weight of the world on her shoulders, can she weather the storm with her family and sanity intact?

Wow! I loved the first two books in this series and couldn't wait to tuck into this one. I was not disappointed. The author brought the characters to life and at times I felt like I was sitting on the sofa beside Jess and reading along with her, or having her read her great-grandmother's memoirs of farm life before and during WWII.

Loose ends from the first two books in the series were tied up and all of the characters had their say in their life's events - some happy, some sad.

I highly recommend this series to anyone who enjoys family sagas. It's well-written, the characters were believable (even the not-so-nice ones), and draws you in and doesn't let go until you reach the end.

I received my paperback, signed by the author, on Saturday last and what can I say but that it is unputdownable! No spoilers (treated two friends to a copy each and they only got them yesterday so have the joys to come!) just questions answered, mysteries cleared up and insights into Martha and Marjorie and Jessica's mum, Nicola, as we see the life events that shaped them all. The action moves skilfully between between past and present, through Alice's memoirs (and Martha's, too) and Jess's perspective as she strives to help her mother, deal with further troublemaking from Leonora and fend off Calvin who still hasn't accepted it's over. I think the author has left the door slightly open still - hope I'm right because I'm sure there's a lot left in Alice's memoirs!

Another roller coaster journey in the life of Jessica Griffiths. Is she ever going to meet "the one"? It doesn't seem to matter which way she turns, her life is full of turmoil. As she aspires to find her own personal happiness, she continues to read her great grandmother's war diaries, which help her understand so many issues within the family. There is a great insight into life during war time. Many aspects, I found extremely interesting. Her grandmother also presents her memoirs in the hope that Jessica will understand her better.
This story has many twists and turns and keeps you reading until that final page. The book itself is beautifully presented with decent size print.

Seriously great reads.

I have loved all of these books about Alice, Jess, and their family. There's so many surprises in the books, and I can hardly put them down. Seriously, great reads.

An amazing read and as with the first 2 books  grips the readers attention from the first page. The tagine says that secrets emerge from the shadows of the past and the reader is not disappointed, Memoirs play a role in revealing the secrets, some happy, some tragic that the reader doesn’t see coming and somehow the characters become even more reals we empathise and cheer them on. As an author, Trevor has the ability to keep the reader engrossed waiting for the next development. A book that well deserves five stars.

Book Three and it was amazing, finding out more of all the characters and the unforgettable memoirs from Alice and includes a short one from Martha.
Jessica Griffiths, Aunt Marjorie, Grandma Martha and mother Nicola all once again have a story to tell.
Nicola is recovering in hospital after the death of her ex husband Jessica's father will she have to stand trial and face a prison cell?
It's Christmas and Jess is over in Clover Close spending time with her Aunt and Grandma leaving them a very generous gift of a Cruise in January, Marjorie as always is so excited and planning her packing already. Martha has also left her will in place and her memoirs are there for Jess to read. Jess heads home for a quiet few days who needs men around, spending time at the farmhouse she is living very comfortable thanks to Alice, she is still doing her journalist work keeping her busy and reading Alice memoirs as it hits 1940 and forward with a few more surprises she was one remarkable lady.
Coming into the new year she is kept busy also keeping her Mum off the drink isn't easy.
Marjorie and Martha have to be my two favourite characters in this book they do make me giggle as they hit their long for cruise that's starts off good then takes a traumatic turn for the worse for both these two dear ladies and left a big lump in my throat as I read.
I was so sorry to see the end and now await another book from this remarkable author just to say this cannot be the end this needs a follow on most definitely. well worth my 5*****

Jessica is still reading her great grandmother, Alice’s memoirs.
With the legacy Alice left her, she has paid for a cruise for her Nan, Martha and Auntie Marjorie to go on.

This is another fantastic instalment in the series, I can’t put these books down once I start them. I am not a fan of Martha but I did find myself mellowing a little as the book went on. Marjorie is a fabulous character and you can’t not have a soft spot for her.

Looking forward to reading more in this series, I really don’t want it to end.
