Ok my peeps, let me tell you a little bit about this book. This book follows a girl who moved to a new town with her mom to get away from her abusive father. In this new town, she meets new people, and finds out some things about herself - some ✨psychic ✨ things about herself, if you catch my drift 😏. Throughout the book, two love interests appear, but the romance doesn’t take over, if anything, it’s barely there.

The writing of the book is honestly what you would expect from a debut author, but it doesn’t hinder the story. The plot was super interesting and catches your attention. The only things I didn’t like were that the main character’s character development was rushed and that the plot originally starts off slow (which made it kind of hard to get into, but was a little worth it in the end).

All in all, it was a good read, and I’d recommend it to fans who like a little bit of fantasy in their books.

excellent reading - entertaining, catching, intriguing, i have to say i had a great time reading this book. The fact that it's in diary form helped me relate to the main character and feel her feelings, understand her story and go through all the emotions she goes throughout the book, but of course not only the main character, all the other ones were just as interesting and intense.
i have many favorite scenes but the most profound moments to me were when veracity finds out her mother wasn't what in the condition she thought; also when our girl realizes she was basically trying to do what she hated in her mother so much and made her change her mind, amazing lesson.
honestly i would recommend this book with my eyes closed, even though at some point some sensitive stuff is part of the story, stuff that some might take as controversial, if interpreted as is meant to be in the book, you will be able to get the profound message in it. awesome book

I really loved Veracity’s story, it starts of slowly but soon gathers speed. City has had to move home with her mom and start a new school. With her new friends come a couple of love interests but everything is not quite as it seems and we get to discover lots of secrets that have been kept from City as well as some new skills no one knew she had.

Once it gets going this book is quite fast paced and really draws you in, it’s a real page turner and you won’t want to put it down!

I received a free copy of this book and am voluntarily leaving my honest review.

The book is very light on the reader unlike the other fantasy books which put heavy emphasis on world-building and character thought presentation. The read is light and straightforward. The multitude of clans/tiads is what makes this book different and interesting. Many open threads in the first installment, leave the reader curious about the second book. One point I wanted to improve was the length of the book. It felt a bit abridged. Overall a very good read!

This book is a sort of Twiliigh parody with elements of narcissism, abuse, finding love, and growth in the face of adversity. The character development is amazing, especially within the main character's immediate family.

I think this is an amazing book for adolescents and young adults. I would highly suggest anyone who loves Twilight, Harry Potter, and Percy Jackson to read this series!

Meh, couldn't get into it

It had an interesting story, but it's written in diary form. It was just really meh. I couldn't get into it and eventually fast forwarded to find some action.

While I did enjoy reading this, it felt like a compilation of a bunch of different popular books. Didn’t feel extremely original. I was invested in the love triangle though, I must say. There were also a lot of grammatical errors that would’ve made the reading a bit easier.
