description I loved the first book is this series, so I was super excited to start this one, and well, it was just OK for me. One, I kind of felt like this couple's story really didn't require an entire second book. Nothing much happened, and I felt it was repetitive. Still, until the twist at the end of chapter 37, I was going to give this book 4 Stars because this author can write. However, I hated the fucking twist with the passion of a 10000 white hot suns. It was SO unnecessary and frankly took away from the connection Will and Ellie shared. I HATED. HATED. HATED. IT.  So ya, really not much more to say about this one. I still think this author is awesome and will definitely check out the next book. I just really wish she hadn't gone in the direction she did...sigh.

This is the second book in the series and also the authors second book and I'm impressed.
If she can write like that, and that's just the beginning of her career, then I'm very curious to see what's next.

This book is a sequel to "Lies That Bind Us" and an exciting and romantic story about Ellie's and Will's life that is as unconventional as the couple was from the beginning of the story.
Don't think the story will get boring, just because the couple got married, their lives have never had quiet minute and probably never will.
What has definitely not changed, but intensified is the erotic side of their life 😉🔥

This book is suspenseful, full of anxious secrets, twists and turns.
The story take you on a thrilling journey through grief, heartbreak and exposure of unbelievable lies which have been hidden in their families for years.
I really haven't seen it coming till the end.

I'm a little bit sad that their story ends here, but am excited for Thomas's story next month 🤩

Ellie wants answers about her past, about her family. Will wants to protect her. Those two things may not be in alignment with each other though...

Will the revelations be too much for these two to bear? Or can they overcome all the secrets in her past?

I originally read this last year when it was first released, this re-release has only made me appreciate the story more. It's a little gritty, it's sexy, and the love Ellie and Will share is rock solid, even more so in this part of their story. I can't wait for Thomas' story now!

Steamy and suspenseful, Her Lovely Lies was my first CL Clare novel. This story gives us WIll's POV and we are taken on his and Ellie's journey one that was filled with lies and secrets. This novel shows us the darkness in their past as well as the love they have for each other. With murder, mystery, danger, twists and turns you will be hooked until the end to find out what happens. The steamy scenes were scorching hott and will set your kindle on fire. I enjoyed this novel and will recommend it to lovers of romantic suspense.

Her Lovely Lies by K.L. Clare is a dark romantic suspense that I listened to on audio narrated by Erin Mallon and Zachary Webber. This is the second book in All The Lies series.

This is the first series of K.L.'s that I have read it definitely won't be my last. She did a great job wrapping up Will and Ellie's story.

I can't wait for the next book in the series Two Pretty Lies to be released in September 2021 so I can get Thomas and Katie's story.

Erin and Zachary did an amazing job on the narration. I look forward to listening to more of their work in the future.

I would recommend this book if you love romantic suspense or dark romance.

I am so jealous of Elle! Can Will be any perfect? I love Will, he's the perfect book husband. He didn't try to protect/hide Elle from what he's doing. He always include her in everything. He know she's a strong woman.

This is like the continuation of Will and Elle's story after they got married. There are more secrets that needed unveiling. The more they dig, the more it kept me on my toes. I wasn't expecting the twist at the end though. I seriously couldn't put this one down!

I liked it. Felt a few new plot lines were a little
odd and didn’t always fit, I did like the twist but something was missing. Not sure what.
I will continue to Thomas.

This is the 1st book I've read by K.L. Clare and she does not disappoint. Both Ellie and Will have a dark past and this book paints the picture of this darkness but it also shows the love they have found with each other. Keeping that love while fighting the darkness, mystery, murder and mayhem will keep you turning the pages. Loved it!!❤❤❤❤❤. I volunteered an honest opinion for this book.

This one had my head spinning. So many twists and turns that kept me guessing what was going to happen. I had no clue until the end. Really good book. I enjoyed this one even more that book 1.
Erin Mallon and Zachary Webber were outstanding as usual in this book.

OMG! The suspense the angst! Jeez.
It’s a roller coaster ride. The title is perfect!

Book 2 continues where 1 left off. After their wedding, Will and Ellie are back to trying to find their new norm as a family but at the same time protecting Ellie and discovering all the underlying layers of deceit in the family.

Full of suspense, twist, and turns! The lie is so profound you will never imagine in your wildest dreams it’s what no one expected.

I’m not ready for Will & Ellie to end, I believe their story has more to tell especially now with Lissie and the family expansion. I’m still looking forward to Thomas's story!

Lots of twists and turns in the conclusion of Will and Elle’s dark romance. I enjoyed the duet and the short story that happens in between. Loved the narrators for the audiobook. Can’t wait for more Hasting Brothers.

Her Lovely Lies
All the Lies, Book 2
By: K.L. Clare
Narrated by: Zachary Webber, Erin Mallon

Her Lovely Lies is fantastic conclusion to the All the Lies Duet. Though the book can standalone, I definitely recommend the first book, as there is a lot of history that coincides with this one. It takes place 8 months after the end of book one, and Ellie and Will are still going strong. Married and taking care of Isobel's daughter, the two are still struggling with the grief of losing their siblings. Ellie is trying to figure out her past, and the parentage of her niece. Will is obsessed with keeping Ellie safe. Love beyond measure, secrets that probably should remain that way, danger that will take your breath away, this book yields twists and turns you will not see coming. This is what I love about KL Clare. She pulls me in with suspense and romance and keeps me on the edge. It's a great listen.

We have our fabulous team of Erin Mallon and Zachary Webber concluding the story with an amazing narration. These two know the characters and draw us into their lives with their performance. This is a duet you do not want to miss and a performance you are going to love!

Having not read the first book of this series, I was pleasantly surprised that I was able to keep up and not be as lost in the story as I should have been. I really enjoyed the insight of the letters to Isobel as they helped me get a better understanding of the story. I also enjoyed having Will's point of view which needs to be done more in books, in my opinion, because it really does offer a new perspective to the story.

Still, even with having Two perspectives, I do think that my experience was not what it could have having had I had a few more details in the story, in particular, what it was exactly that Will did and why the secrecy needed to be there. I am not sure if the secrecy was leftover from the first book or this one but it had me a little baffled why this particular secret would be damaging.

The author is very skilled and I can see why they are popular. I will be checking out more in the future.

Will Hastings is Ellie James protector from afar. The day comes, when the assassins find her. Her sister and grandmother were murdered. If she was home, she would have been too. That night, her life completely changed for her and her niece.
Will Hastings is bound by an oath to protect her at all costs and took them away to England.
Everything she knew in life wasn't as it seemed to be. As the storIes unfold, she finds out the reasons why she is in danger and why Will and his brothers are there to protect them.
K.L Clare has written an intensely, dark, passionate, steamy, love story that is full of twists ,mystery, cover-ups , and lies. I loved how Ellie and Will relationship developed from blind trust to friendship and love.
Zachary Webber and Erin Mallon are exceptional narrators that brought all the emotions and intensity in this passionate, dark love story.

This is the second book in the All the Lies Duet, a Romantic Suspense. Ellie and Will's story continues where the first book left off. The storyline is complex, steamy, and intriguing, filled with secrets revealed, danger, and unpredictable twists and turns. There is a log going on in this installment. This is a great conclusion to this duet. Erin Mallon and Zachary Webber did a fantastic job with the narration. #AudiobookObsession

While I didn't enjoy this book as much as I enjoyed the first, I was very impressed with how the loose ends were closed. I also really adored the ending. Part of it wasn't an ending I really wasn't expecting at all. I mean I guess I should have been with the letters to the dead sister, but yeah I didn't suspect at all. I fully recommend this duology!

Her Lovely Lies is the second in a series of books featuring brothers who were trained as secret bodyguards to a protect a royal line.

This book can be read as a stand alone, however I did wind up purchasing the first book for reference.

Her Lovely Lies picks up eight months after the first book in the series, Lies that Bind Us, has ended. A prologue at the opening of Her Lovely Lies gives us a brief glimpse into Elle’s life as an artist in a southern Connecticut town. It provides a grounding for Ethan’s character as well as Will’s pull and obsession with the woman he’s sworn to guard.

As Elle and Will pick up their lives after losing both Isobel, Elle’s sister, as well as Ethan, Will’s eldest brother, we are granted a glimpse into the intrigue and possible danger this new family may still be in.

Will is utterly and completely obsessed with his wife. Not in a creepy overbearing way, but in a his soul would be lost without her way. Will and Elle are at the start of their marriage with a new credo of “no more lies” as their vow. Yet we discover quite quickly that neither of them are holding to this credo.

Will has his younger brother, Thomas, watching and tracing Elle secretly. Elle is in the process of tracking down the true paternity of her niece who is now her adopted daughter.

The plot moves quickly and quite intricately although it is constantly being interrupted by a seemingly unstoppable lust between Will and Elle.

This is actually the largest issue I had with this book. While I am knowingly reading a romance novel, the physical intimacy began to irritate me as it seemed to slow the larger picture and plot down. It eventually began to feel unnecessary to the book’s content. I skimmed a lot of bedroom scenes. They are well written, just over used as a device.

The larger plot of this book is very strong and I wish more attention had been paid to it. Ms. Clare presents us with depth full and well woven story of a political intrigue, assassins, affairs and deeply buried secrets. Some of the secrets and details are dribbled out to the reader via Elle’s emails to her deceased sister, Isobel. Elle is working through her grief and anger from her sister’s murder by sending her emails. Other pieces are placed on the table by Will and his discoveries via Thomas’ cyber snooping and his connections with the police. Each of Elle and Will’s narratives slowly come together to present the reader with the full picture.

Ms. Clare keeps the reader guessing as to whom the “bad guy” may be up until the end. She even manages to tinge the reader’s perspective of one of Elle’s closest friends within their guarded circle.

I would recommend this as a steamy read as both the story line as well as the intimate encounters are masterfully written. I would warn that this book is more physically intimacy laden than most romances that I typically read. Added to this with Will’s obsession with his wife, at times it feels more like an erotic read than a romantic read.

The story does wind down well with a happy ending for Will and Elle yet a new beginning and adventure for Thomas.

Thomas’ book is slated to arrive in January 2021. I will be on the lookout for Thomas’ book as I’d like to see if his character is handled a bit differently than Will and Elle’s story.

**ARC provided in exchange for an honest review**

“Our love was a mutual obsession beyond words.”

The Hastings have a long standing protection pact with the James family, as they are descendants of an English royal family. Over the years of protecting Ellie from afar, Will became obsessed with her. Once they met in person, a relationship develops and they eventually get married. Her Lovely Lies begins shortly after their wedding and the deaths of Isobel, Ellie’s sister, and Ethan, Will’s brother. Faced with their losses and the addition of Lissie, Isobel’s daughter, into the family, Will and Ellie are struggling to deal with their grief. In addition to the loss of his brother, Will struggles with the abuse he faced at the hands of his father as well as the fear that he would turn into him one day.

Ellie has begun investigating Isobel & Ethan’s deaths on her own to piece together all their unanswered questions. The more information she uncovers, the more danger she seems to be in. Although Elle believes she is doing her own investigation, Will is monitoring her every move. Despite his supervision, Elle is able to unearth all the secrets, but manages to keep the biggest from Will. As the blurb states, when Elle reveals the truth this secret brings Will to his knees.

I thought this book was OK. I had a hard time connecting with the characters and felt like the story was drawn out more than necessary. I found myself wishing several times throughout the book that I had read Lies That Bind Us and if I would’ve enjoyed the story more then. Despite it being a standalone, I don’t feel like it reads as one. Anytime a past event is referred to, it is explained, but I still felt like I was missing the full picture.

I read the first book, Lies That Bind Us, first and then immediately went into this story. I think that is a great way to do this because there are a lot of twists and turns in the first story, as well as a clear description of the roles of these two characters and how they relate to each other. This story is a continuation of the couple's love story and, as in the first book of this duet, there's a lot of steam, intrigue, twists and turns. In this story, Elle and Will are now married. While I felt that in the book the characters were quite a bit too melodramatic about their obsession with each other, this book did a much better job tempering their overdramatic tendencies. (although there still is a bit of that). I really enjoyed trying to figure out what their next steps would be and the author kept me guessing as to what the conclusion would be until the end. This was a fun story and I give it 4 stars.

Beyond the story, I listened to the audiobook, which was narrated by Zachary Webber and Erin Mallon. Oooh Zachary Webber with an English accent. (and some French... Sigh and swoon). And he did a fantastic job going back and forth between characters. Erin Mallon was also heard throughout the book but very specifically during the times when Elle was reading some emails she was writing to her deceased sister (but these give the reader a good idea of what Elle is doing to try to solve the mystery underlying this story). Their narration absolutely elevated the story!

Her Lovely Lies is the 2nd book in the All the Lies series, so it works better if you read Lies That Bind Us first. I think the thing I loved the most about Her Lovely Lies was the mystery covering the story like a black cloud so I was on the edge of my seat. It also provided those super fun twists that get the f-bombs dropping which is totally my happy place. Ellie & Will are finally happy together, and yet, she's determined to get to the bottom of her family, and if that means that she doesn't tell Will, so be it. However, she can't get the jump on Will, so he's trailing her pretty much the whole time. This is the situation that really had me turning the pages quickly because I needed to know. And since there's quite a bit going on in this story, I'm going to keep this review short & sweet so I don't give anything away by accident! HIGHLY RECOMMEND!

This is the second book in the All the Lies series and it is one heck of a read. It can be read as a standalone but I recommend reading the Lies That Bind Us first to understand the characters. As opposed to the first book, this one is told from Will’s point of view and continues his journey with Ellie. Their path has not been an easy one and there have been seemingly insurmountable obstacles that they have each had to face. However, no matter what life threw their way, they rode the waves with the unconditional love that they offered each other. This is one book that you must read for yourself to truly feel the nuances and the beautiful turn of phrase utilized by this author. I volunteered to read a copy of this book.

Wow! What a great continuation of Will and Ellie story. This book is from Will’s POV and we are not disappointed!! We get an inside look in what goes on in his mind, why he’s done what he’s done and I loved every second of it. This book is filled with twists and turns, suspense and of course romance. My perfect combination of ingredients for a romance novel. You will get all of the answers that you’re looking for. I don’t want to get to much into detail because I don’t want to give anything away, but I highly suggest reading both Lies That Bind Us and Her Lovely Lies. Solid ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ read!

I really liked this book. This is the first book I've read by K.L. Clare and I definitely won't be the last. Although it is the second book in this series, I didn't feel like I was lost at all. The romance between Ellie and Will was scorching hot and there was so much mystery and adventure that I was never bored. I do wish I read the first book first so I could get a better understanding of Ellie's mindset and thinking but I will definitely check that book out now that I've gained Will's perspective. This was a wonderful read and I can't wait to read the next book. I received a review copy of this story and am leaving my voluntary honest review.

This book is mostly from Williams POV which I found interesting since book one was all Elle's POV.
Here's what I liked about this book: lots of intrigue and drama, has a vibe of The Crown going on and I love that aspect of this duet.
There's a lot repetition going on with this book though and after a while I started skipping parts to get to the plot.
This is my first time reading a book by this author and I would definitely try another book by her.

I don't want to give away anymore since there is a twist to this book.
As always narration by these two is phenomenal! Jacob portrayed Will with depth and emotion. Erin had minimal role in this one but she is always amazing!

Poor Lizzie.

If I'd been invested in either character, the twist regarding the niece would've been interesting. Since I didn't care either way, the twist just seemed thrown in there for no good reason. It was bad enough that the little girl had no bio-parents, .

Was hoping being in ML's head would help show the connection between the two MCs, but I still didn't get it. With her extreme neediness (explained as panic attacks due to anxiety) and his constant battle with his "darkness" and fear of hurting her during sex (XL red flag), an HEA is unbelievable.

Will and Ellie are deeply in love. They are each other’s worlds. Will wants to protect Ellie any way he can. Unfortunately they both have so much family drama that it consumes them every day. Ellie want to uncover the truth about who her family members really are. The emotional baggage of their families entanglement is Exhausting. Ellie and Will have an incredible Pull towards each other both emotionally and sexually. I enjoyed reading this book.

Like the first book I struggled with certain aspects of this book, but still found myself turning pages to find out answers to the many lies that were being uncovered. Some will blow your mind.

I found the characters more likeable in this, but . As much as I struggled with this duet, I still reccomend it as it definitely distracts you and keeps you on your toes.

Keeping this review short and sweet as don't want to sway readers either way. Give it a go..

Will and Elle's story will have your mind going. Their love for each other is out of this world. Will does everything he can to protect Elle. Elle wants answers about her past and her sister. Elle has been through so much in her life that when her and Will got married she finally started to feel whole again. This story will give you all the feels. I cant wait to read the rest of this series. The author did a great job with this book. Great storyline, characters and grammar.

This was full of lies and secrets and suspense but also love. I was sucked into Will and Ellie's story and the mystery and suspense kept me glued wanting to find out what was going to happen. It's intense at times and sexy in others. It's a great read! I would suggest reading the first book however as it will make more sense.
