New author to this avid reader. As a Michigander I always enjoy discovering a new Michigan author, whose unique stories have a Michigan setting. I enjoyed the motif of Everlee Whitman's series. This series is based on Philippians 4:8. This Michigander has several concerns with the author's setting and motif. One: After reading the series A Time for Everything, not sure how the stories connect to the motif???? Two: This retiree love taking back road trips with Michigan farm country. On my trips through most of the lower peninsula there are few horse farms, so I am not sure where there are horse sanctuaries in Michigan. Everlee Whitman gives little background information on her stories or her research. This reader and retired high school teacher is always willing to give a new author a chance. Will see how the series progresses.

Having read and thoroughly enjoyed the Living River Ranch Time for Everything series by Everlee, I suspected this was the beginning of another great series. I wasn't wrong. I am a Michiganer and it is always fun reading books set in my home state, which I don't find often. The Tanners are a close knit family who run an animal rescue sanctuary. This is the story of Jake and Thea. A teenage prank put a wedge between them a decade ago. The deteriorating mental capacity of Thea's Dad brings her home to face the reality of what she left behind. Through the help of the Tanners and their church, she sees her caring community and the possibility of a future with Jake. Since this is book one in the series, we are introduced to many characters who will tell their stories in the next books.

In this new series, we get to know the Tanner family. This book is centered around Thea and Jake. Thea left right after a prank Jake and his brother pulled on her. They never admitted they liked each other. Now, it’s been ten years and Thea returns to her father in the hospital and her family farm in terrible shape. Will they get a second chance to get it right or will Thea return to her job? I really enjoyed getting to meet these wonderful characters and I’m looking forward to reading the future books.

I received an advanced reader copy of this book and this is my voluntary and honest review.

I loved this book which is book one of the Tanner Creek Ranch Romance series. This is the romance of Jake and Thea. It also deals with the problem of dementia when Thea finds out her father has it. The characters are wonderful especially the Tanner family and their willingness to help others in need. I highly recommend this book. The last chapter does lead into the next book. I was given an ARC of this book and this is my voluntary and honest review.

Another good book to start a new series. As always, Everlee is able to write a story that has sorrow, hurt, permanent health difficulties but at the same time, there is friendship, love, care, and respect for others. Easy to read, gives food for thought, and entertaining!
As a member of the author´s ARC team, I downloaded a free copy of this book and this is my honest opinion.

True for Everlee Whitman is the first book in a brand new series. It's about an amazing ranch that takes care of and helps abused, neglected and injured animals. It's a well written clean christian story. It is a heartwarming story in which faith, love and community play a major role. Can hardly wait for the next part.

Clean, sweet story showing you can go home again. Character growth is clear and believable. Refreshing to not have drama with ex's or wanna-be girlfriend/boyfriend...everyone is treated with love and respect. The lead in for the next book was there and made me anxious for that story!

True (Tanner Creek Ranch Romance)

This was a very interesting story about Tanner Rescue Ranch. Jake and all his brothers and sisters were part of the ranch. Each had a part In rehabbing animals. Family became involved in helping restore the neighboring ranch. Enjoy

Home

Jake and his family are hired to take on horses belonging to their neighbor. He calls the daughter of the owner to get permission. She agrees and comes home to help her dad. Can they find their way to each other? Great story.

Can an old awkward relationship be rekindled after ten years? Can you overlook a stupid prank and move on? Even if it was a highly emotional one?
Read about Thea and Jake.
Wonderful start to a new series.

There are so many life changes in this story. Will Thea be able to adjust? Can a crush really become a reality? I like the way they go through each hard
thing together. Very good.

This is a great first book in the Tanner Creek Romance series. Like all of Everlee's books this is about small town community living. I was given an ARC of this book and this is my voluntary review.
