Kimi is a country girl who takes furlough days, sees her father suffer from dementia, is on the verge of losing her home, and raises four kids… all on her own. The only respite that she gets is in the grove of trees where she can cry. Occasionally, she sees a cowboy riding his horse, which allows her a short time to escape reality and fantasize.
As a recently divorced cowboy starts attending the singles activities, Kimi begins to embrace the talents and gifts God gave her and to embrace who she has become.

This book was so good. I started it after a friend let me borrow it, and I was invested after the first chapter! I absolutely love having a romance book that aligns with the church's standards and is still equally interesting. This was a new type of "trope" I have read and I think it was written beautifully and amazingly. It talked about tricky topics that I normally don't read and I think they were dealt with really well.
