“Here goes.” He firmly hit ENTER, jumped onto the seat and lowered the hatch.
The ‘whoomp whoomp’ of a loud, electronic hum filled the room. A faint halo of light flickered around the machine and got brighter and brighter and burst into a brilliant white, dazzling flash.
