Dante was not a wolf to cross when it came to the love of his life, Daphne. When Dante’s teeth elongated and he sunk his claws into Felix’s neck, I wasn’t surprised Felix pissed his pants. I would have too!

Daphne was no weakling either. She’s an alpha’s daughter, which means she can deliver a can of whoop-ass. And, she did!

With adrenaline still coursing through their bodies, feelings were revealed, and passion erupted. FYI – Elena knows how to write a sexy love scene!

Down in Flames by Elena Kincaid had heat, suspense, and a wee bit of humor (tickle scene). It’s also under 100 pages, so it won’t take you days to read. For me, I gobbled it up while I ate lunch. 🙂

Revenge or justice?
This is a relative short story, which means there is not much space for world building. A lot is not being told and it feels like I’m thrown into the story halfway through missing some connections. How did Daphne get kidnapped? What is Dante’s relationship with the police? Too much in not enough pages. This story has the potential to be a much longer book.

This was one of my favourite quick little reads. It had a little bit of everything.

Dante is a very alpha alpha male. Who had eyes for Daphne a daughter of an alpha. When things go sideways and Daphne ends up missing Dante goes true Alpha to find her and basically let everyone know she is his.

I really enjoyed this read , it had the suspense and the sizzle between these two.

Down in Flames is a short shifter romance, however it is not without depth. It has an intriguing plot, Dante and Daphne are both engaging characters with substance and the ensemble cast around them make this a great short read. On a personal note I look forward to the author releasing more in this series as there are many characters I feel have a story of their own to tell.
