Anima
In a steam-punk futuristic world the beautiful dancer Danya seems too perfect and pure. He's unlucky to have an obsessed fan who is also a cynical journalist. The reporter Patrick has good reason to hate the world, and all the people in it. He only trusts his emotionless android Ed. He'll stalk Danya under the pretext of article research. The truth is, although Danya is the only man to ever fascinate him, Patrick can't accept that even this beautiful dancer is not without sin and vice. Will he love him? Or expose the one secret that could destroy him?

3.5 out of 5 stars.
Much more pure and sweet than one would think based on that summary, which incidentally is inaccurate. There's no stalking or dark hidden motives, just a love story against the odds. The art style is very distinct and may take some getting used to, but I've enjoyed both books I've read by this duo so far and I find the art enchanting.

Androids, stalking weirdos, star crossed lovers, whom one is android and other found it a bit late.

As everyone else who has reviewed this book said, the synopsis on the back is way off. There's no 'cynicism' and there's very little 'stalking.' Also, other than the fact that there are *ahem* robot servants, and a slightly Victorian aspect to the clothing, there is nothing 'steampunk' about this. That said, it's a good book, and has a surprisingly solid plot for yaoi manga. (It is pretty explicit, but if you're reading Dany & Dany, you know that.)
The art is excellent and consistent. Bishōnen style that's worth it for the wardrobe and hairstyle as for the 'beautiful boy' (naked) aspect. (Again, that's something you expect from Dany & Dany.)
So, very pretty, very romantic, good explicit scenes, but... not a lot of re-read value to me. (That's why it gets 3 instead of 4 stars. It's not something I feel the need to keep for my permanent collection.)
Still, very nice. Worth picking up.

On a cruise, famous ballet dancer Danya (blond) will be performing. Also on the ship is investigative reporter Patrick who is accompanied by his android Ed. The two guys hook up and start seeing each other after the trip, but Danya's mentor/manager is not thrilled as he's involved in some shady business and he doesn't want Patrick to find out. Danya also has his own secret. The manager is determined to separate them, no matter how. *cue evil laughter* They said this steam punk but it seemed more futuristic to me, but I have to say I loved Ed. He has no emotions or filter on his mouth it seems so he just puts stuff out there, which is true but not very diplomatic at times. I liked this one much more as there is less of the "woe is me, I'm an artist *hand to forehead swooning*" stuff going on.

Drawing on the steampunk genre, one replete with Victorian style and mechanical devices, this is a story of an android gifted with human emotions. Danya is an android dancer who yearns for something more than the sterile world of art given to him by his owner. But striving to gain love places him in danger from his human partner: no one knows Danya is an android except his owner and exposure could mean dismantling. Will his human lover betray him if he finds out the truth? Will his obsessed owner willingly let him go? Dany & Dany specialize in love crossed with peril and this story has danger to spare. Filled with gorgeous men, exquisitely drawn backgrounds and clothing, this entry by this Italian team shows that yaoi can truly flourish in foreign climates.

I really like most of the characters in this book because they were approachable and nice. I think the synopsis of the book (found on goodreads and on the back cover) is completely wrong and misleading and when I read the cover after the book I was appalled at how untrue it was. There is no fear or sick obsession with either character--just love between two entities. There is very little plot in this book (as in other Dany & Dany books) and is very explicit. I might pick this up again if I saw it.

I was pleasantly surprised with this one. I had given up on reading Yaoi, as it just isn't for me. This one looked a bit different, and the Steampunk element had me curious. I'm glad I spent the time reading it after all! The characters were not the usual pathetic simpering self loathing Yaoi boys, which is what drove me from the genre! A cute love story with a cool twist, and throw in the Steampunk element, it was a lot of fun!

kindle edition.
Dany & Dany titles were harder than hell to find in print, so I was thrilled to find a few available on amazon.
Ballet meets steampunk meets androids meets romance.
Probably the hottest hot tub AND virtual reality sex scenes you will ever see in a comic or manga.

Sort of a very classic steampunk romance, where the leads happen to both be (very pretty) men. Short and sweet.
