Another great resource to take to Adoration to meditate and contemplate and pray before the Eucharist in Adoration. He gives many guided meditations to work through while in Adoration using the Lectio Divina method: Read, Medicate, Pray & Converse, Contemplate, and Resolve.
These suggested meditations are meant to be completed over time and not in one sitting. I am adding this to my Adoration time.
Very clear and interesting description of 'lectio divina' method to organize the time spent in Adoration, Scriptural Reading and Prayer .... I now use this method with my Nightly Examen, Weekly, etc.... "Lection Divina' - Read, Meditate, Pray, Contemplate, and Resolve... I am so happy and grateful to have read this little guide !
This book described many of the difficulties I’ve experienced in trying to pray for an hour in front of The Holy Eucharist . This book helps scaffold my prayer time. Many thanks to Fr Josh for the “ scaffold “. ( I recognise this shows how weak I am in not been able to spend an hour with My Lord without my attention wandering)
this is the perfect companion to take to Adoration! I confess it has been a bit hard in the past for me to describe Adoration and why I go to others, so glad I picked this up.
