Rory: Mountain Man And Longhunter

Rate this book
A brand new Mountain Man adventure sequel with Rory: Mountain Man and Longhunter from Mike Mackessy!
This is the story of a US Marshal jailed after killing the murderers of his wife and young son.  After six months in a hellhole of a jail, Clay finds himself free.  With no job, no money, and no prospects, Clay and his brother head west for the Rocky Mountains.    Clay records his transition from unjustly imprisoned to joining the ranks of the Mountain Men.  From an encounter with a real mountain man, to employment on wagons to Santa Fe, to making friends with the Mountain Crow and enemies with the Blackfoot, Clay changes as the mountains remold him into a new man. Rory, now older and a family man, finds, tends, and saves Clay’s life.  All Rory sees is a wounded mountain man and trapper.  Clay had been captured and offered a choice.  Wounded by a Blackfoot arrow in the shoulder, Clay refuses to give up.  As he limps off, the Indians expect an early catch and great entertainment, except it is a ruse. Follow the changes an unjustly imprisoned ex-lawman learns about life on a vengeance trail. Grab your copy today!

Rory continues his mastery of taking the old American West, and his family increases pretty often!

Definitely another five star masterpiece by Mr.Mackessy and this compassionately entertaining revelation of old western frontier folklore is unsurpassed in the way this frontier family survives the elements and the hair raising encounters throughout this compelling western folklore extravaganza!
Outstanding storylines from beginning to end and the Author's outstanding character selections were unsurpassed in their commanding assignments throughout the entire series of ongoing excursions!
Definitely recommend this compassionately motivated series of events to all readers, regardless of what your reading pleasure might be! Still don't like this new format!!!😃

Ok

A US Marshall is jailed, starved, beaten, and finally freed, because he shot the sheriff's outlaw brother. The Sheriff's clan is large and spends years trying to kill the marshal. The writing is rough. Will probably not read anymore of these books.
