Shingles #44

G.I.R.L 2: The Author Needed More Money

Rate this book
They say the definition of insanity is doing the same thing over and over again and expecting a different result…

Then again Rob(erta) Hardlick has never been the poster child for mental health. Once more she and her trusty hyperintelligent sidekick Mich find themselves locked within a video game universe – this one based on the most popular franchise of J-RPG of all time. To make matters worse, they may not be the only survivors from the last game to have made it over to this new and sometimes horribly translated title.

Rumors that the notorious player-killer are spreading like wildfire, and everywhere Rob goes a new adversary is waiting to take potshots at her now hi-definition backside. There even seems to be a super-pompous British invasion in this Japanese title, one hell-bent in making life miserable for our plucky duo.

How is a gal supposed to make some cold, hard cash under these trying conditions? Also, why the heck does everything in this damn game have so many tentacles?

Entertaining horror listening 😁

This kindle ebook novella is from my Kindle Unlimited account book 44 of 60

There is a game being played by a number of players. I had some issues following the flow but it did come to an end.

I would highly recommend this series and various authors to readers of fantasy world 🌐 adventure horror action thriller novels 🙃😮 2025 🌜👻

So this book is exactly what it says a Meh sequel out to grab cash for the author. It's that sequel that you have to have because you watched (I mean Read) the first and you were hungry for a continuation of the story, and while not as good as the first it's still charming in its own right. It leaves you hoping that the Author follows through and the second sequel will redeem the franchise.
