This book has everything you want!! Both MC want each other but are worried about things, but they don't talk about them. Until later on, when they have grown up and are not teenagers anymore. The spicy scenes were amazing, and the details about how there are different levels of kink and no one should feel shame about certain kinks. I really felt this was a full-length book, but it's just a prequel to a series that I can't wait to read!!
Max and Lucy first met in high school, where their 2 year age gap was more physically obvious. She had yet to truly hit puberty, whilst he was all muscle from playing football. Both felt the spark, but Max knew that he couldn't pursue anything until she turned 18. What he didn't take into account was that she would leave for College... and not come back.
Now approaching 30, Lucy has returned to their hometown of Aspen and is living next door. She just got dumped by her cheating ex-fiancee whilst Max, a career firefighter, is 6 months into a relationship he only began as distraction.
Max has never got over Lucy, but still can't shake the image of the innocent young girl he once knew. He has certain proclivities... and can't help but think that it would scare her. But little does he realise, she's not a little girl anymore...
This was the prequel to the All For Her series by @authorkatcatesby and I'm so glad it popped into my email! It was a seriously 🔥🔥, fun read about a first love that evolves over time and with the inevitable aging of the characters. I would happily have read this as a full length book, I think a little more depth into the characters would only have added more to the story.
I really love Kat Catesby style of writing, her books are just so good. This is my second book I’ve read of hers and I can’t wait to read more.
I have to say this is a very steamy romance. Max has known since he saw Lucy in high school that he was attracted to her. He thought the two year age gap was too much. Lucy looks so young as a 14 year and Max looked older than his 16 yrs cause of football. Over two years he still wanted her and he was scared cause his interest in sex where a little dark, he liked things he thought would scare her. She goes away to college but comes back and all those feelings come back. Read more to see what happens between Max and Lucy now they are back in the same town together. Will Lucy finally get the man she’s been head over heels with for so many years.
On the first day at a new school and our MFC thinks she is going to puke… The story gets better with each passing page. Lucy plows into Max on that first day. She was a freshman; Max was a junior. Now, let's fast forward a bit… A few years later, Max and Lucy end up being neighbors. Their mutual crushes that never died are in full force. And now the good stuff begins. I will not be a spoilsport and go into any great detail here. But I will tell you it's a wonderful story worth reading! I could have easily given this book more than 5-stars, but I couldn't find the 7-star button.
This is a new author to me. I really love the author (Kate Catesby) style of writing her book. It has wonderful characters as well. Once you start to read the book you just can't put it down. You feel like you are right there in the storyline with the characters. To learn more about this author (Kat Catesby) please check out her Newsletter.

I knew within the first page that I would love this book! I thought it was so funny and relatable! Expecially Lucy being an overthinker like myself. I loved Max and Lucy and thought they were perfect for each other! For being a short story this book was spicy AF. Would definitely recommend!
This was my first book by this author and I do enjoy how she writes in general but especially her spice scenes 🥵 This book was definitely not lacking any spice and it was seriously so hot 😍🥵 Lucy, Max and Ember were a good time and they definitely had chemistry. However, what bugged me is the lack of communication/assumptions made over a decades time, that lead to miscommunication 🫠🫠🫠 Max’s ex Shelby was way too involved in the storyline that it got sort of annoying at one point too! Lucy’s reaction as well to a certain situation just made mad lol I enjoyed the spicy and some of the sweet/swoon moments, and although I didn’t love this novella, I’m open to still reading more from this author because the spice is truly so well written 😍
Not what I was expecting, but decent enough. Not good enough that I am likely to read anything else by the author, but not a total waste of time.
Sex is frequent and fairly graphic, and does have some aspects of BDSM but they are really mild and not the edgier, harder stuff that I dislike. Not a bad book, and thankfully nothing like the horrible 50 Shades of Gray.
This story escalated rather quickly, going from mutual avoidance for over a decade to some serious smut. I'm not sure I buy the sending each other nude selfies the same morning they've had their first actual conversation. An otherwise very cute story about being brave and going after what you want because time flies when you're unhappy.
Was a good book for a quick read, loved the ending just wish the book was longer so that we could see/feel more of each characters development. That being said was a good plot and has some good spicy scenes in
