Enjoyed reading this cute book; had wonderful, memorable characters. Only thing I had a problem with was after Sonia's beloved dog Sparky goes missing, I found her parents' reactions really unsettling; instead of trying to comfort her and go out looking for the dog they slap her across the face?! Lock her in her bedroom? What kind of parents are these?! There's certainly no call for that kind of abuse or behavior, especially from a parent whose kid is really upset because their pet is missing. Other than that, it was a good story, especially recommend for animal lovers.
