A collection by its very nature will have some stories that connect more with you than others. The great part about Off the Beaten Path is that in 8 tales, the RANGE explored is impressive and definitely one of the reasons I love a good collection. These Tales of the Paranormal have stories that are more atmospheric, others that are gorier, some that touch on western flair while others have a distinctive southern feel to them and until you read stories with both, you won't get how much of a difference there is. If you want something spooky to spice up your TBR, definitely recommend this one.
