From a scandal in Savannah to a stagecoach wreck in Montana, it seems bad luck follows mail-order bride Temperance Hayes everywhere she goes. When she’s rescued by Sawyer Reid, he promises to take her to Angel Creek, and to the groom waiting for her, but a freak accident strands them both in the middle of nowhere.
In such close quarters, their friendship seems to be on the cusps of something more. As Christmas draws near, Temperance knows exactly where she’d rather be. And it’s not with the man she promised to marry. With no idea if Sawyer feels the same way, she decides to take a chance on love and the man who might well be her destiny.
If you love cabin romance, you’ll love this story of two lonely hearts thrown together by Fate.
Lily Graison is a USA TODAY bestselling author of historical western romances. She also writes a variety of genres under the name L. R. Grasion. Most all of her stories lean heavily to the spicy side with strong female leads and heroes who tend to always get what they want. On occasion, she can be found penning ‘sweet’ romances with chaste kisses and wholesome values. Ever a romantic, she believes in love at first sight and has a tendency to fall for bad-boy romance heroes.
In this Christmas brides of Angel Creek book from Lily Graison, Temperance and Sawyer meet in an unexpected way. Can Sawyer overcome his past to find love again? Will Temperance continue to run instead of facing what she wants head on? You have to read this sweet story to find.
I love the Angel Creek series in general and this one is no different. I really love how Temperance and Sawyer grow and heal together. This was a heart warming quick read that I would definitely recommend to anyone and everyone.
I was given an ARC of this book for my honest review.
Lily Graison has once again brought us a story that is sweet and heartwarming yet one full of human frailties and angst. This is Temperance Hayes and Sawyer Reid's story, and the character development is outstanding. Both Temperance and Sawyer have a past to overcome and are reluctant to move forward. As the couple navigate a stage coach accident and a snow storm all the while developing feelings that they are not sure they want to disclose. Will Temperance continue her travels west to become a MOB? After being forced to spend time together during the snow storm will they recognize that the other is just what they are looking for and have their own HEA? This is a beautiful Christmas story; a real page turner and one you will not want to miss.
From start to finish this story was engaging, unpredictable and so heartwarming that reading it felt like a big hug. Temperance is running from her past, Sawyer has isolated himself from his, but through snowstorms, and unforeseen hurdles, they forge a bond and a clear path so they can have a future together.
Absolutely loved Temperance and Sawyer's story. It's such an amazing story of two people finding love. Lilly as usual did an amazing job giving us a fantastic story.
From a scandal in Savannah to a stagecoach wreck, bad luck seems to follow Temperance. The story keeps you wondering what will happen next and makes you want to finish reading it without putting it down. I highly recommend reading the book!
Lily didn't disappoint. I loved Temperance and Sawyer's love story. It was meant to be. They needed each other in their lives and it happened naturally.
There was just something so endearing about both these characters, I loved them! Both are avoiding things that happened in their past that are affecting their present. Both have a strength and a vulnerability to them that has them carrying on while still wear their feelings on their sleeves. Both are so determined and not willing to give up. They forge a bond and an attraction while, at first, being forced to spend time together. They recognize and appreciate what they see in the other. When the time comes that they should be apart, that bond only strengthens, and their attraction pulls them together <3
