Camilla Rivers thought coming home would bring clarity—but instead, it’s only made things more complicated.

Back in Portland and reunited with her boyfriend Nick Ludlow, Camilla is grateful for a second chance at the love she nearly lost. But despite the joy of being with Nick again, a quiet ache lingers beneath the surface—an ache for the life, and the man, she left behind.

She didn’t expect to miss Randin Towers… not like this.

As Camilla and Nick work to rebuild their relationship, she struggles to silence the memories of Montana—the laughter, the comfort, the unexpected connection she shared with Randin. She tells herself it was circumstantial, that her heart only has room for one man. But as days pass and emotions stir, Camilla realizes she may be more torn than she ever imagined.

Now, with one foot in her old life and the other still caught in what could’ve been, Camilla must face the hardest truth of all: the heart doesn’t always let go just because you ask it to.

Book three in the Ludlow Saga did not disappoint just as the other two books. It was full of even more tension as stakes were risen, and my favorite part-even more development and background was discovered with each character. Allen took book three to new heights and I was entertained and waiting in anticipation till the very end of the book.

Love triangles are a stressful things to read at times, full of anticipation, and Allen accomplished that well with this story-as that is a good thing- keeping the reader hooked to the story. I'll be honest I was worried how this triangle was going to resolve itself and whether or not I would like the ending. Allen pulled through though and I truly did like how things played out in the end. My heart was happy and I'm sure other readers will be as well.

Nick still remains to be my favorite character in this book. Randin continues to add confusion to the tale. Camilla is there with all the stress, all the emotions and confusion one could want to read about. Characters still hold interesting, complex and you just want them all to have a happy ending, they deserve it. Another great read from the Ludlow Saga and I'm excited to read the final book in the series!
