I’M SO HAPPY! 🤩🤩🤩

It was an EPIC FINALE of Talise’s journey to safe the Empire of Kamdaria. Facing two enemies, the Emperor and the rebel group Kessoku, can our beloved Elements Shapers Talise, Aaden, and their friends survive and win the ultimate battle?

This book was full of actions and intrigues. I love seeing how far Talise grow and how loyal her friends were. She made some great decisions with their help because they believe in her ability as a leader 💛 So many things Talise learned within the weeks of training with the Amulet, and at last she found the right way to use it.

The cute romance: I feel touched reading how Aaden promised to not let Talise down again, and how his actions bring back the feelings inside Talise heart for him 🥰 I was also surprised that I forgive Claye and I’m happy to see him found happiness, thanks to our beloved BFF Wendy 😉

The friendship and family: Not gonna lie, some parts truly made me cry, there were some plot twists I didn’t see coming 😢 One of the scenes that touched my feelings so hard was what the Emperor done to Talise at the very end of their battle 😌 Bittersweet, but beautiful!

Evento it’s sad that some characters have to lose their life, I feel very satisfied and relieved with the endings, especially that epilogue.. I’m sooooo happy! It was a perfect conclusion for this epic series 😭♥️

THANK YOU, KAY!

“It’s true. You haven’t fixed everything in Kamdaria. That would be impossible. But there is one thing I know for certain. You've changed Kamdaria for the better."

Finally, the story comes to an end! What a great adventure reading about Talise's story and her struggle to free her people from the unfair government.

It's a story of learning to trust others and yourself, how to never give up easily and always have hope that things will be better. Talise and her friends have been through so many things to get to where they are at the end of the story. I'm really amaze reading about their journey and their characters development, how they face failure and how they gain victory.

There are so many actions part in this story with battles of the sword and between elemental powers.
Not just the battle parts, the romantic relationship between Talise and Aaden also grew in this story. While their relationship frustrate me a bit, but I'm happy for them.

The ending was wrapped up nicely and I'm very satisfied with how things turn out. I'm so happy for some of the characters, even though not many of them have the same happy ending.

Overall, this is an epic conclusion to the series! Very enjoyable, intense and entertaining. If you love reading elemental powers, dystopian era with great characters and world building then you should give this one a try!

I thoroughly enjoyed this conclusion to the The Elements of Kamdaria. Talise and her crew are at war with the Emperor? Who will prevail? This last book was very hard to put down! I needed to know what happened. Battles between all these characters that we've come to know and love. Some heartbreak, some beautiful moments, with an ending that ties everything up beautifully. I highly recommend.

This was the perfect ending for this trilogy.

The characters have changed and grown so much since the beginning. In the beginning we believe Telise to be someone of no importance from the storm, aside from the fact that she could shape all four elements. She has gone from somewhat shy and quiet, to being able to command a room. She worries not only about herself, but the land and the people.

This series had so many twists and turns. There is a new surprise around every corner. It is filled with mystery, adventure, secrets and betrayal, to friendship, understanding, love and support.

This book and series has everything you could want. If you enjoy YA, fantasy, adventure, romance then you definitely want to read this

I received a copy this book from Kay L Moody. This is my honest review.

The Elements of the Storm combine four books; Water Storm, Air Storm, Earth Storm and Fire Storm. I read all these books separately before they were combined into this one amazing book.
With the books centered around The Storm, and the harsh reality of the world they live in, Talise must join with allies she never thought she'd join with, and make decisions she never thought she'd make. Talise struggles with her mind and her heart. She knows The Storm needs help, she knows all the sectors need help, but the only way to help is if her father wasn't on the throne anymore.
I think Talise really grows throughout these books. She makes the tough decisions, and does what she has to, because she's sick of fighting a losing battle. She becomes the leader Kamdaria needs and wants, and that scares a lot of people, herself included.
The relationships among the groups really develop through this book. They become a strong tight knit group needed to make Kamdaria great again. Every obstacle they face, the face together and without each other the impending war would be impossible.
Aaden and Talise are my favourite relationship through this whole series, and even with their ups and downs, I still root for them right until the very end!

It's sad knowing that this series has finished. These characters have all received a little place in my heart, and Kay L Moody has become my favourite find of the year, and I can't wait to see what else she has instore for her reader!

Thank you, Kay L. Moody for the complimentary ARC copy of Elements of the Storm in return for my honest review.

Talise once again tries to do everything in her power to make Kamdaria better for all of its citizens-especially for those living in the outer ring of Kamdaria – in desolate Storm. The characters are well developed and Talise is beyond reproach and her actions are all based on her ultimate goal. I loved that she has Aaden on her side again, who is of an equally strong and good character. She shows her ability to lead people by getting even the most unlikely followers to do so fervently.

Nevertheless, there are a few plots that don’t make much sense. For example, on one hand, Talise can destroy a dam solely with her own power, yet she gets stumped by mud while holding the power-multiplying amulet. Similar things happened frequently and are irritating. I wish the story would be more consistent in that regard. It also makes no sense that she always seems to get this bouts of self-doubt when fighting for her own life. Usually there is no time for self-doubt because one has to act so quickly to survive. I also wish that the only hinted at LGBT would have been more openly stated. It’s a chance wasted to show that all kinds of love are normal.

Overall it was a very powerful series that included great world building and strong character development. I would recommend the series to all ages. Thank you, Kay!

‘Everyone must pick a side’
Sometimes, you even have to ally with people trying to kill you – for the greater good.
‘Perhaps it was time to think of allies as people who did the right thing and not as people who fought on one side or another.’
Set boundaries and agree on expectations & duties so the temporary allies might remain so.

When the people are broken, then the system is broken. Society’s ills don’t just drop off trees – they are caused by people who are either selfish or who are in denial of the evil around them:
Separating family members as punishment.
Causing environmental hazards under the guise of helping.
Forced illiteracy, malnourishment, and poverty to ensure dependence.
Slaves called servants and treated as if they are fortunate are still being treated as slaves.

There are definitely many positive themes throughout the series:
Compassion for those who have less, being honorable to the deceased, family is everything, giving people who make mistakes a chance to redeem themselves.

Some sage advice from the author:
Don’t shut down your feelings and act as if they don’t matter.

Fave line:
‘Nothing could prepare a person for the storm’

May we all face the storms in our lives and helps others to weather theirs.

I’ve already enjoyed the author’s ‘Fae of Crystal Thorn’ (#’s 0.5-3) and have her ‘Fae of Bitter Thorn’ #’s 0.5 & 1 to start as well as the first ‘Truth Seer’.

This last book in the series did everything I hoped that it would. Conclusions were had for (almost) all of the characters and the reader is left with a clear idea of what's going to happen in the future (I guess HEA, or happily ever after, would describe the ending).

I liked that Talise had some more diversity to her thoughts in this book and acknowledged a lot of the struggles she was facing. For one, being torn about having romantic feelings for Aaden while her country is in turmoil and war is imminent. I also appreciated the struggle she felt between family and country once she realized her dad, the emperor, is truly a terrible ruler.

There were a couple of unexpected twists, some of which I liked and a couple of which didn't feel completely believable. I feel like Talise had a lot of agency in this story, not being afraid to make some tough (and often dangerous) decisions to reach her end goals.

The one thing I think could have bee handled differently is the relationship between Wendy and Tempest. What we learn in the conclusion doesn't match up with how they're described in the other books. I wish the author would have owned this more and showed us earlier that these two were more than just friends.

I would recommend this book to readers who enjoy fantasy with light romance.

This is the final book in the Elements of Kamdaria series. In this book we find our protagonists, Talise and Aiden, going for their coup against the emperor now that they’ve joined forces with the Kessokou. Does their plan pay out? I won’t spoil it for you and tell you what happens but let’s just say it is quite a thrilling ride.

This book has lots of action and a little bit of romance. The love battle between Talise and Aiden does continue but it is a necessary part of the story. I do believe both characters have matured throughout the series. Talise is able to make better decisions and Aiden grows to understand Talise’s better.

This book has some storyline twists I didn’t see coming. There were also some I predicted but wasn’t sure would occur. I’m so glad they did.

I found this book to be a very satisfying conclusion to an awesome series. It didn’t leave any open storylines. As always I usually want to learn more about what happens several years down the road but never the less I am happy with how the series finished.

Does the book end happily ever after? You’ll just have to read it to find out.

This is the culmination of all Talise's trial and struggles as she strives for a better Kamdaria.  We see her make unlikely partnerships and alliances, always hoping for the best possible outcome for her people.

Despite all that is thrown at her and her trusted, closest allies, she manages to succeed. There were times when the cards were so heavily stacked against her, her very life appeared to be in danger.

Always with the thought of a better Kamdaria, she grits her teeth and carries on.

This was a beautiful read that transported me to Kamdaria.  I could feel the cold winds of the Storm, and sense the entitlement of those in the Crown. At times I felt as though there was no way out, but there was always that glimmer of hope.

Kay L Moody really took us on an emotional journey, one that you have to experience for yourselves.  These books NEED to be read, you won't regret it!

The Elements of the Storm contains the last four books of the series: Water Storm, Air Storm, Earth Storm and Fire Storm.
With this book our voyage through Kamdaria has reached the end 💔

These wonderful books were my companion for more than a year and I have to confess that I will miss Talise, Aaden and their friends ❤️

The last chapters show us what is happening with all the characters, even the little ones 😊. We find out how their lives are going to be and we get to see how great the love between Talise and Aaden is ♥️

Loved this entire series and highly recommend it. It's one of my favorites reads this year.
Beside a great story with people that have surprising abilities there is also a lot to learn about love, kindness and friendship ♥️

Thank you so much Kay & Marten Press for the ARC.

This is the collection of the last 4 books in the serie.
If you read the ones before then you already know this serie is totally amazing.
I've started with a short excerpt/story in the beginning of book 2 and got addicted. I never read a full serie that could keep the suspense and the "guessing" for so long. I mean it. Even the ending could have gone in so many different ways that you can never have the hope to guess right.
If you haven's started yet, go right ahead, you will not regret it!
It's perfect for everybody, even for those that don't regard fantasy as their favorite as it tackles a lot of different themes and some very important question.
I wish this story can get the recognition it deserves and make all available platforms, even it the school books!

What a great ending to a great series. 😊 And can I just say I was so happy when Aadan and Talise finally got together! Plus everything Aadan did for her... 🥰😍

I don't know why but I was still mad at Claye by the end of the book. I feel he deserved more punishment or something. I guess I'm just a hater. 🤔😆

Great series, I plan to read again. 😊

Edit: I forgot to say that I wish I knew more of Aaden's parents story. I feel we just got the tip of the iceberg of what happened and I was wanting so much more. Like why would Aadan's mom disinherit him and when he found her she didn't want anything to do with him?

Because in the book she seems like a nice reasonable person and I had built up in my mind that she was a cold hearted ice queen or something. 😂 So when we meet her, her personality was not what I was expecting.

I just wanted more clarity on her motivations and actions.

Thank you BookSirens and Kay L Moody for an ARC of Elements of the Storm in return for an honest review.

What an epic finale to an incredible series!! Talise and her friends truly exemplify honour and bravery. Each character has their own special qualities that truly help Talise be the best leader she can be. This is exactly what every woman needs to be successful - sheer determination and a group of unwavering friends standing behind her.

There are so many ups and downs in the book, you think you’ve got someone figured out and bam you’re wrong again. Kay is fantastic at weaving surprises and mysteries into an already entertaining story. And each one of them has you standing up in shock and awe or pure joy!

You have to read this series, and then everything else written by Kay L Moody, I promise you won’t be disappointed in the least!

Received as a review copy, this is an honest review. We've made to the Storm of the kingdom of Kamdaria... and the last box set containing the final four books of this wondrous series. Here in the place were to survive means doing whatever it takes, even if it means harming others; Talise finds hope among the crumbled world that had been regulated for those deemed unworthy. There are secrets that has Talise and her friends, just as they did throughout the Gate, finding their emperor devious feelings towards the people of the Storm... the work to unravel the damage earns them needed allies as the final showdown emperor approaches... with peace and hope on the line. From the Ice Crown to the Fire Storm, the Elements of Kamdaria has lived up to the expectations of adventure, secrets and romance. Highly recommended.

📚Book Review📚

I finished the Elements of Kamdaria series and let me just say that @kaylmoody really said let me put you through all the emotions.

I’ve only ever read one other book that made me literally cry and that was A Fault in Our Stars.

I boo hoo’d a little bit in a few different spots in this book but one spot in particular I cried hard. Not because it was sad but because it was literally one of the SWEETEST things I think anyone could have ever done for someone. It also explained a lot of blurry questions that happened since the first book.

The wrap up on this series was amazing. I could not have asked for a better ending, well…except for one part toward the end that broke my heart but not everyone gets a happy ending, sadly.

This is the second book series I’ve read from this author and I was not let down. I can not wait to read more of what she writes!

This is the final 4 books of this series, it was by far one of the most emotional and intense parts of the series. The love triangle between Talise, Aaden, and Claye was resolved, I was so torn on that. It was hard to be happy, whilst I loved the outcome, I was devastated for the one who didn't get Talise. Both men were such amazing characters, I was rooting for them both. I still really love the emperor, I'm probably in the minority but he was an incredibly complex character. The storyline was mind blowing, there were moments I forgot how to breath. This series is a must read for anyone who loves elemental magic, amazing characters that will capture your heart so much that it is hard to put the book down. I can say with certainty that I'm a huge fan of Kay L Moodys writing.

4.5/5 stars. The Elements of the Storm is a collection of the last four novellas (9-12) in the Kamdaria series. In this installment, Talise must prepare for battle to claim her thrown and lead her people towards peace. On top of her responsibilities to her people, Talise also struggles with her heart and with determining who she can trust. This was an epic finale to the series, and it did not disappoint! I was intrigued by the story from start to finish. The love and friendship these characters have developed for each other throughout the series is awe inspiring. This one kept you guessing the whole way and I never knew what to expect with each turn of the page. There were so many shocking secrets revealed along the way that really pulled at my heartstrings. It was so beautifully written and a perfect ending to the series!

This series of 4 mini books concludes the whole series. The bulk takes place in the outer ring of Kamdaria, the Storm. The desolate wasteland where people go to die. (What a messed up system to punish the children for their ancestors’ mistakes! Especially for “crimes” related to trying to survive!). I really felt for these people and could tell Talise truly wanted to help them. Since she spent years living there, she understood what drove the people and how to reach out in a way that would be accepted. The romance back and forth was a bit more prominent in this book. I found this book to be a bit more predictable than the second one but still read it straight through.

Wow, I thought this was a great way to end off the Elements of Kamdaria series! Everything was well written and all loose ends were finished up nicely leaving me quite satisfied! Talise's story has really grown throughout the books and as readers, we really got to enjoy her journey with her as she struggled her way along and faced many troubles. The storyline was engaging and I thought it also had great morals as well!

This was a solid conclusion to the series and Talise's story. Storylines wrapped up nicely, and there were plenty of surprises and twists and turns that really added to the story. The worldbuilding continued strong in this work; however, I still felt the characters were lacking. To me they lacked depth and development, which made me unable to connect to any of them. Overall it was a good conclusion to the series.

Once again, such a good book! Maybe not as many huge plot twists as in the other books, but still lots of surprises and action that made it hard to put down! I loved how the characters grew and developed over the course of the series, and how the main character learned that trusting people, even if it sometimes meant getting hurt, was better than not trusting anyone at all. The author did an excellent job of writing to make you feel like you are there with the characters, and working surprises in but with all the details there to make it believable.

I am speechless. This was an amazing series. It's now one of my all time favorites. The story is so well written. Wonderful character development. A story full of heartache, revenge, death and friendships. Talise had an unsettling childhood until Marmie took her and raised her. She trained in shaping trying to become a master shaper. Then her life spiraled out of control. Destiny sent her on a quest to become the one to save Kamdaria. Her story will draw you in quickly and so many twists. She will face many betrayels, death and war. You won't be able to put it down.

I love this series so much! I think it’s super clever that the author grouped the novellas together in volumes like this. This is the last group of four novellas in the series and I’m so so sad that it’s over. Talise got a spectacular ending to an epic journey and I was so happy for her. This series is adventurous, magical, and swoon worthy. We get to see Talise struggle and come into her own saving the people and herself.

Excellent 3rd set in the series. Fantastic characters with a fantastic plot. Tons of action with a lot of elemental magic. No graphic sexual content but does have some violence. It is a lot like Avatar the Last Air Bender. So If your a fan of Avatar you will love this book and series. I recommend for all ages. This is the last book of Talise story.
And how much have she grow in these books. She started as little bit selfish and ends up giving everything to her empire. We can see the personal growth of all the characters, Aeden, Wendy, Claye, Tempest... Even Emperor Flarius is better portrait in these book, we finally know his reasons for his actions.
It's a perfect ending for this world and these characters 😊

I received a copy of this book for a fair and honest review. I feel get hard to review a wonderful series when you get to the end and you know it the last time you will join these characters on their journey. The empire is at war and Talise is going through a lot and she is still doing her best as a Shaper to do her duty to the empire. I did not want to end, but I was glad that I got to come along for the journey.

This is a stunning conclusion to a fantastic series. Talise and her friends work to improve the lives of people in the Storm, but they uncover a cause of the poverty and ill health that she has not expected. The rebel enemy continue their pursuit as Talise further develops her powers. This is a story of political intrigue, endearing characters and a wonderful plot. I highly recommend this story for fantasy lovers of all ages. 5/5 stars
