I read this book via Kindle Unlimited.
We're back on the "Connie reads published fanfic" kick. Returning back to the Heroes and Villains series, this book is set in "Phase Two" of the series, which seems to focus on the Asgardian siblings, with this one looking at Lucas Gardson. Or Loki. Lucas has been made the head of Heroes Org and finds himself lowered from his status as a God, to having to answer to his board members, much to his dismay. After finding out that Niberu, an interstellar conqueror, has an armada waiting in space at the end of the last book, this book starts to deal with the consequences of that. A rogue ship comes to Earth, to be greeted by Thor and Loki, and on board is Conan (the Barbarian) and Rora, Loki's once lover and daughter of Niberu. When she comes to him after this encounter, he finds her father has sold her to Conan in exchange for something powerful, something Loki also has, and the only way to protect her is to marry her and keep her under his watchful eye.
I do like that these books have more plot than just straight up filth, but I'm sad we only get a single book dedicated to each character, rather than seeing a continuation of their stories throughout the books. This book was a good part of the series I guess. Loki is Loki, he gets married, he saves the day, they all live (I'm assuming) happily ever after.
