Inoffensive, but flat and bland with no urgency to the conflict. The kind of book that once I finish the last page it's wiped from my memory. The thing that irritated me quite a bit is that the hero believes his mother abandoned him, he arrives on Greek island resort he inherited from her, realizes she was beloved and built this great life for herself and naturally he's feeling some kind of way about that (understandable). And yet none of the secondary characters nor the heroine acknowledged his pain or questioned why he was estranged from her. It was like they all just shrugged their shoulders and moved on. Meh.

I will read any book that’s got Jennifer Faye’s name on the cover and this talented author is back with the first title in an enchanting new trilogy romance fans will not want to miss: Greek Heir to Claim Her Heart.

Having lost her family and her home, Hermione Kappas’ job managing a luxury resort on a picturesque Greek island has been a lifeline for her. Her career means absolutely everything to her and Hermione cannot imagine doing anything else, having devoted so much of her life to her job. Hermione has made a home for herself in this beautiful island resort, but it looks like everything she holds dear to her heart will end up coming under threat when Atlas Othonos arrives at the resort and announces that as the heir to the property he has plans to sell it as soon as possible!

Hermione is not going to let Atlas sell her home from under her. She is determined to fight tooth and nail to keep managing the resort which means the world to her. With only two weeks to go to convince Atlas not to sell, Hermione plans to show just what a special place this Greek island paradise truly is. Hermione has got a lot on her plate and romance is the very last thing on her mind, so why can’t she stop thinking about the man who is threatening to take her livelihood away?

As Hermione finds herself falling for the handsome Greek heir, will she find the courage to tell Atlas how she really feels about him? Will a future with him be on the cards? Or will Hermione end up losing not just her job, but also her heart to a man she can never have?

I adore Jennifer Faye’s books and Greek Heir to Claim Her Heart is a gorgeous, emotional and uplifting romantic tale sparkling with charm, wit and so much heart. Hermione and Atlas’ love story is one that cannot fail to move and entertain readers, who will be completely swept away by this enchanting and captivating Greek-set romance.

A lovely romantic tale perfect for cozying up with, Greek Heir to Claim Her Heart is another winner by Jennifer Faye.

I voluntarily read and reviewed an Advanced Reader Copy of this book. All thoughts and opinions are my own.

Jennifer Faye returns us to the Greek islands where Hermione Kappas manages a luxury resort, a dream come true for her, one she’s held onto since losing her family.
Only one problem, the new owner wants to sell the resort, so she must act fast to change his mind.

Atlas Othonos just inherited a resort in which he has no use in overseeing, so he has decided he will hopefully, shed it out of his possession, by Valentines.

Valentines Day? Two weeks to change his mind! Hermione knows her timeframe is short, she must act and act fast.

As these two get to know each other getting the resort ready for sale, romance begins to blossom.
Can Hermione save both the resort and her heart from Atlas?

Truly a fun romantic Valentine story which will leave Jennifer Faye’s beloved fans wanting more.

Thank you in advance to the author, Jennifer Faye, for providing a complimentary review copy through Prism Book Tours. A positive review was not required nor requested, and all words are my own.

To say I am a fan of Jennifer Faye is a bit of an understatement. But, let me be clear – that doesn’t mean I don’t like other authors out there. It’s just that next to Debbie Macomber, I’ve read far more of Faye’s books, especially of the Harlequin Romance line. In fact, Faye’s books are the only Romance line ones I currently have.

I’ve been reading Faye’s books since March 2020. It’s difficult to believe that in almost two (2) years, I’ve read now eleven (11) books by the author:

❤️ 7 – Harlequin Romance (including this one; six of them set in Greece)
🎄 1 – Hallmark Published (Christmas in Bayberry)
🏝️ 3 – Bluestar Island Series

I think it’s safe to say that when I see a book by her – I definitely want to read it. This was NO different. A sweet, island escape around Valentine’s day? Be still my heart.

I’ll admit that right off, the cover just didn’t grab me. That’s why most of the time, books shouldn’t be judged by the cover. But, covers do attract the reader to at least look at the book.

Once I started reading? Let me put it this way, I started at 12:50 pm, and finished about 10 hours later with quite a few stops here or there. That’s quite a record for me. I honestly couldn’t put this down for any real length of time. I read 70 pages in one (1) hour, 83 pages the next. I’d safely say that this was definitely read under four (4) hours. That’s almost a record for me.

I usually attribute this to short chapters, which seem to keep the story rolling and flowing – and me reading chapter after chapter. The larger font is a bit of a bonus too. The story is fast-paced but not so much that you feel the author is rushing right through the telling of it. Faye’s vivid writing had me feeling like I was right there at the resort watching this unfold. There were a few typos, but nothing to detract from the overall story and what a story it was!

Hermione is mourning the loss of the island and resort’s owner – Thea. Atlas is more than a bit miffed his wayward, absentee mother left him an island and a resort in her will. He’s got his own company to manage and doesn’t have time to deal with this.

Hermione is heading home in a storm while Atlas is heading to the resort. Talk about a collision course. Of course, they avoid an accident, but Atlas needs to get his vehicle towed. Since it won’t be until the morning, Hermione (risking the last ferry home) takes him to the resort. There’s only one room. Atlas offers the use of the room and shower, Hermione only accepts the shower, opting to sleep in her office.

That should’ve been a clue to Atlas about who this woman was. Still, he enjoys her company and doesn’t want the night to end. Yet, it does.

The next morning, he is a bit irritated to learn Hermione is the resort’s manager. And, Hermione learns Atlas plans to sell the resort.

Hermione, looking out for not just herself but the employee who’ve become a family, sets out to show Atlas what the resort is really about. Of course, Hermione is stunned that Atlas is alive as Thea never really talked about what happened, but often spoke about her love for her son.

Right off though, there is a mystery around Atlas and his mother Thea. What happened between these two, why did she leave him the resort?

Hermione has Atlas meet the employees which is a dirty, but sweet trick. She doesn’t have time for much though – there is a wedding and a Valentine’s Day ball to plan for. Of course, Atlas doesn’t plan to be around then. And, Hermione isn’t thinking about love after a disastrous relationship where her ex also took something far more valuable than just money.

Then, there’s that ruby heart being loaned to the hotel and the story behind it … and of course, Hermione and Atlas’ attraction to each other.

Of course, there are a few things Atlas sees that could use improving – the security system for one. Another – the resort’s exclusivity that even extends to the employees. He has an issue with the “haves” and “have nots” system. Yet when it comes to needing help in a time of crisis, the resort employees help each other as it is more of a family. That’s not something Atlas is used to.

Over the course of what seems like a REALLY short read, Faye crafts a sweet romance set in what can only be described as a paradise over a two (2) week period, yet it never feels rushed.

I absolutely adored Hermione’s assistant Adara who arranged a fun surprise for Hermione and Atlas on a yacht/boat. Almost everyone can see what Hermione and Atlas fail (or don’t want) to see – they both care deeply for each other, perhaps love? I had to laugh at the idea of Atlas talking to Adara then giving her a raise for the audacious plan.

At one point, Hermione prompts Atlas to talk and tells him she’s an okay listener. Saying she was great would be bragging, and saying she was terrible wouldn’t get him to talk – she opts for middle of the road. I loved that humbleness about her, and the humor.

This is more of a fling turning something serious rather than a whirlwind romance with some light and refreshing humor sprinkled in.

I loved the history of the island and resort and why Thea left it to Atlas.

There really wasn’t much to dislike about this read – perhaps Atlas’ insistence on selling it and his unresolved issues with his mother. It wasn’t until around 6% to go that Atlas learns why his mother left and never came back for him. That was cutting it a bit too close to the end for me.

And, the ending was SO sweet too! I kind of saw one point playing out the way it did, though it was nice to actually get that part resolved.

I was almost too busy reading to take proper notes for the review. That’s another sign of how fast this story went by and how GOOD this book was!

This is basically categorized as a sweet romance – no bad language at all. There is a “between the chapters” intimate scene, but no real graphic descriptions or talk about it. Not even the characters discuss it.

Fans of the author and genre won’t want to miss this one! I’m definitely excited for book #2. And, if you’re looking for a bit of a romantic getaway – this book serves that up too.

Greek Heir to Claim Her Heart is another one of Jennifer Faye's sweet romance books that helps you escape from everyday life. I never had much interest in Greece until I saw Sisterhood of the Traveling Pants. Those beautiful white homes set with a backdrop of clear blue water just make me want to visit. In this book, the Greek Island is a privately owned island. When the current owner passes away, her estranged son inherits the island along with the private resort.

Hermione Kappas has worked at the resort since she was 18 years old. She's now the manager of the resort, and of course she is worried about what is going to happen to the resort. But she is mostly concerned about the employees. This speaks a lot to her character in the book. She always puts others needs before her own. She is kind, responsible, and great at her job. She was very close to the prior owner and doesn't understand why she and her son were estranged.

When that son, Atlas, arrives on the island, he has every intention of selling the island resort. He wants to be out of there in 2 weeks. But as fate would have it, he falls in love with that kind and caring manager.

Though at first Atlas may seem harsh, you will quickly learn that it is because of his broken past with his mother. Atlas is a very strong character. He also cares about others, but he can't see himself staying on an island that constantly reminds him of his mom.

As with all of the books I have read by the author, I really enjoyed this book. I love that we can take a break from the crazy world and swoon over a sweet romance book. I read this book very quickly because I wanted to know what Atlas would decide about the island. Because even though he was falling for Hermione, he still couldn't see himself staying there.

The plot moves swiftly, and is very engaging. This is a page-turner that you won't want to put down. The characters are well developed, and I think you will quickly become attached to them like I was. I have a feeling about who the next book will be about, but I will let you discover that for yourself.

As I said before, the setting is absolutely beautiful. Who wouldn't want to live on a private Greek island? I can just imagine seeing that blue water and enjoying everything that the resort has to offer. If it were a real place it's not like I could afford to go to it, but a girl can dream.

The Harlequin Romance line contains books with any love making off scene. And Faye's are cleaner than some others that I have read in this line. I just add this so you know ahead of time.

If you are in the mood to escape to Greece, you've got to read this book. It's so sweet and charming. The fact that it takes place around Valentine's Day makes it the perfect book to read right now. I definitely recommend it.

Unexpected Love

Atlas Othonos is the CEO of a very profitable security firm and enjoys the busy and exciting life he has built for himself. One that was not easy growing up with a mother who abandoned him at a young age and a father who was successful, but did not love or encourage him while growing up. Although his father could afford it he almost made him beg to get new clothes or shoes when the old ones did not fit.

Hermoine Kappas has gone from having nothing after being homeless, taken advantage of, and robbed of her confidence and self-esteem by a former boyfriend who also stole all of her money.

Two more opposite people could they both be but fate has brought them together when they meet during a storm and both are thrown together. Atlas is upset his car is stuck in a ditch and although Hermoine was on her way home she stops to help him get to Ludlas island where is going to see the exclusive Greek Island Resort his mother, Thea has left him in her will.

Atlas has horrible memories of his mother and how she left him and all he wants to do is see this place and sell it. Hermione has put her heart and soul into this place and not only manages it but feels that all the employees are the family she never had and loves her work.

How is she going to convince Atlas not to sell and remain on the Island and enjoy the romantic and wonderful accomplishments his mother has left him in his inheritance.

In less than two weeks the Valentines' Day affair will take place and the deadline is getting closer and closer.

One of the most romantic traditions of the Ruby Heart that is borrowed for this special occasion says that "if lovers gaze upon the Ruby Heart at the same time, their loves will forever be entwined."

It is not easy going for Hermione to convince and show Atlas how beautiful the Island is as he never has had time for real love or commitment as his own heart is broken from his upbringing.

Hermione who also never thinks love will be in the cards for her is suddenly feeling things she never felt before. Could this romantic tradition come to life for the two of them?

A fun, easy, and perfect Valentine's Day read. Loved it and think you will too. just what we all could use more of these days a little more love and happiness for all of us.

If you are looking for an escape read to a Greek Island and a super luxurious resort, well you might just be interested in this story. Hermione and Atlas are our characters, and both are struggling from past pain and trying to make it in the present the best that they can.

Hermione is the resort manager, and she has just lost a good friend and a woman, in Thea the late resort owner, who took her in when she had nowhere else to go or anyone else to lean on. Their relationship grew to be close, and Thea gave Hermione opportunity to grow. Now that Thea has died, her son, Atlas is the owner of the resort.

Now Atlas did not have a wonderful, memory filled relationship with his mother. And he is bitter towards her and that flows out to include the island and resort as well. Atlas was a bit hardheaded and very gruff with Hermione at times, but there were cracks in his armor that showed that that was just a defensive mechanism he used to not get hurt.

Atlas and Hermione had a quick attraction to one another, and they did develop a true friendship as well. There were a couple of fade to black scenes that took place that complicated their growing relationship and their trust in one another. Atlas was not sure he wanted more than a fling and he definitely did not want to keep the resort that Hermione considered home and loved so much. These two had some growing and maturing to do on their way to true love.

I was provided a copy of this novel from the author. I was not required to post a positive review and all views and opinions are my own.

I needed this book right now in my life.  I needed a light, breezy, feel-good read.  Ms. Faye always delivers for me when it comes to a great story, awesome location, characters that I care about, and an emotional ending that is oh so satisfying.

Atlas and Hermoine are perfect for each.  Each one of them has abandonment issues and Ms. Faye does an excellent job with them and it's not weighed down.  Families can be messy at times and these two have been through a lot but in the end, you can determine who your family is and I think that they accomplished that.  Ms. Faye also does an excellent job with the secondary characters in the book.  They only add to the friendship and eventual romance between them.  Never intrusive but always there to help them find their way to each other.

Ms. Faye captures the island and the resort well.  I wish I could visit such a place.  The resort is its own character in the book and an integral part of Atlas's story.  Not to mention that Heroine feels like it's home to her.  I wish I could say more but then I would spoil it.  The world that she has built is great and I can't wait to read the next two books in the series.  Indigo and the prince will be interesting, to say the least.

I really wish that Ms. Faye could publish a book every week.  She is one of my go-to authors that never disappoints and she doesn't here.  It's heartfelt, emotional, and all-around just a great book to read.  She knows her readers and gives us what we want.

Talk about loving the characters! First thing I asked myself, though, was: To whom do I need to speak in order to inherit my own Greek island??? How cool would that be???

I won’t retell the story but I will tell you what I loved about it. The best hero in a long time: Atlas was broken but not in a I’m-A-Jerk way. He touched my heart, and broke it a few times too, and I loved him. And REALLY loved his geeky side! The best heroine in a long time: Hermione had much bad things happen to her in the past but her reactions to them are a wee bit different than Atlas’s life view. She put up walls around her heart as well but imho they weren’t quite as high. I really loved them both!

The setting? Just what I needed for winter here in the States. I could almost feel the sand and water beneath my feet. Loved the “trip” to the Ludas Island and didn’t want to leave when I finished reading. What a wonderful start to a new series; can’t wait to go back.

Greek Heir to Claim Her Heart begins Jennifer Faye’s Greek Paradise Escape series. It was wonderful to take a few hour getaway to the beautiful Ludus Resort on a gorgeous Greek Island. I adored this story with Hermione and Atlas. I loved their chemistry together. It was slightly predictable, but oh so delightful to read. I wanted to keep reading this entertaining romance. Reading this was a great way to spend the afternoon, next to the fireplace on a snowy day.

I am giving Greek Heir to Claim Her Heart a very well deserved five plus stars. I highly recommend it for readers who enjoy sweet and clean romance. I will be looking forward to reading the next installment from the Greek Paradise Escape series.

I received a paperback copy of Greek Heir to Claim Her Heart from the publisher, but was not required to write a positive review. This review is one hundred percent my own honest opinion.

Review:
I am extremely thankful for this book. I quickly grabbed it off my shelf and threw it in my purse. I had to rush and take my mom to the ER. I am very thankful I had a book to help calm me down. I really liked the story. It was a sweet romance. I loved the Enemies to Lovers trope. What I can gather is that Harlequin Romance editions are basically a tiny bit Spicer than the Love Inspired ones. Spice is extremely low. I think it was always fade to black. I loved the exotic location, and I really enjoyed the romance.

Jennifer Faye has started a new series in the Greek Isles. This story was about Hermione and Atlas. She was in charge of running a beautiful upscale resort and he inherited the resort and didn’t want it. He just wanted to sell it. She had about two weeks to change his mind. She showed him the resort through her eyes. This wasn’t just a job to her but almost her whole life. She considered the people who worked with her family because she had no one else. His mother left the resort to Atlas and he didn’t know why because he was very young when she left him. They work together to find the answer to that mystery. This was an enjoyable read. I am looking forward to reading the next book in this series.

I loved this story about Hermione and Atlas. This book was a sweet, fast paced read that I couldn't put down. Hermione thinks of her coworkers and friends as family. Atlas thinks he's alone in this world, and isn't willing at first to think that people really are giving and caring without wanting or asking for anything in return. When he meets Hermione, and really gets to know her, he starts to see things differently. I loved how everyone pulls together to get things done when one of their coworkers falls ill. This is a great book that I highly recommend.

Love in the nick of time! A gorgeous Greek island sets the scene for a new trilogy from Jennifer Faye that is sure to delight Harlequin Romance fans. GREEK HEIR TO CLAIM HER HEART is the first book in the Greek Paradise Escape series featuring the manager of a luxury resort meeting her match when the new owner of said resort arrives planning to sweep the rug out from under her. The characters were intriguing from the start and their gentle love story held my interest throughout.

I recommend this book to fans of exotic locations for a sweet and luxurious romance.

I received an ARC from Netgalley and Mills and Boon in return for an honest review. I hadn’t realised that it was from Mills and Boon’s True Love line. I don’t normally read that line. However, this was a pleasant and entertaining read although much more on the sweet spectrum. For readers who like this genre, I’m sure they will love this story.

From the cover to the last page this was an amazing Valentine story set on a beautiful Greek Island!
After losing everything, Hermione Kappas, found a home managing a resort for wealthy.
However, Changes are coming!
When the owner dies, the resort is left to her son. Atlas Orthonos inherited the resort and only wants to sell. He has so many conflicting abandonment issues and emotions that it will be hard for Hermione to convince Atlas not to sell. She has until Valentines Day which is only two weeks away.
I really enjoyed being swept away to a Greek Island where love blooms.

I was so excited to read this book because I knew Jennifer Faye would write a beautiful, romantic story that I would thoroughly enjoy and she did not disappoint me at all.  I really liked Hermione and Atlas as they were both strong, independent characters who were afraid of commitment.  One was hurt by her ex, Otis and the other one had issues because his mom abandoned him when he was five and his father constantly rejected him.I also liked the Ludus Resort set on its own private island.  What a beautiful setting for romance, legends, healing, and love.  I received an advance copy of this book and I willingly chose to write an honest review.

DISCLAIMER: Yes, I received a complimentary ebook copy, but a review was not required and all thoughts and opinions expressed here are unbiased and my own.

I’ve not read a pure romance book in quite a while, so this was a refreshing change. And as someone who used to travel a lot before the pandemic, I was 100% on board with the author to escape to Greece via an armchair vacation!

I found this book is highly entertaining, and I would be grinning to myself whenever the leads go about with their banter. (Just kiss already! LOL) But yes, I later learned that Jennifer’s brand was sweet and sassy, and this story definitely delivered.

Hermione is a relatable lead, and I love how she’s not watered down from being a strong woman who’s passionate about her career and the people she’s come to consider her family. Atlas is also an interesting character with a painful and complex backstory, and I was happy to see him open up to Hermione — despite him not really wanting to. The other characters were also fun to have around, making the Ludus Resort feel like home even to myself as a reader.

I like simple yet evocative prose, and Jennifer’s writing style fits right in! The story felt just a little rushed near the end though, and having grown up reading Harry Potter my mind couldn’t avoid visualizing wizard Hermione at times, whoops. Overall, however, it was a delightful romantic read, and perfect for Valentines!

This story is a lovely sweet romance set on a Greek Island. The characters are believable and draw the reader into their lives. Hermione thrives in her people orientated role, Atlas is a loner. When he decides to sell his unexpected inheritance, Hermione is determined to change his mind. The romance develops realistically, with many obstacles for the couple to overcome. The setting and cast of characters give the story authenticity and depth. The chemistry between the couple is evident from their first encounter. The story has a Valentine theme, perfect for this time of year.

I received a copy of this book from Mills and Boon via NetGalley in return for an honest review.
