This book has a scary beginning and has some edge of seat chapters. I found the book to be entertaining , unpredictable, action-packed, inspirational, romantic, and a page turner. I thought it had a happily ever enter ending. This is my first time reading a book by this Author and I’m looking forward to reading more books written by her.

The two main characters in this book are Shaylee Alder and Jamey Dyer. Shaylee is a Detective for the local police department and Jamey is a forensic entomologist. Shaylee is investigating her own sister’s disappearance and possible murder and though she doesn’t know Jamey he too is searching for her sister’s missing body. The two meet in the most bizarre and scary situation . They work together as a team to find her sister's body and bring the killer to justice. The killer is always one step ahead of them and will stop at nothing to see them both dead.

Readers of Suspense Thrillers and Love Inspired books will enjoy this book. It can be read as a standalone book.

I won a copy of this book in a giveaway. A review was not requested. All thoughts and opinions are my own.

Sharee Stover takes her readers on an interesting trip to the Black Hills of South Dakota. Only it's a dangerous trip, with a killer lurking behind every tree. We get a good journey into sink holes, mines, caves, and entomology. And that killer will stop at nothing to silence those who are onto his crimes. And there are dogs!! Sharee Stover knows her stuff. Recommended.

My thanks to the publisher for a copy of this book. The opinion here is mine.

R-e-l-e-n-t-l-e-s-s, that's how you spell the diabolical villain in this gripping romantic suspense. I'm not sure if I should be concerned or awed by the author's clever repertoire of assassination techniques. :-) We're dropped right in the middle of the heart-pounding action on page one and it doesn't let up until the epilogue. Mercy!

And I absolutely love the science nerd hero and his fascination with all things buggish. Quirky and funny and so clever. In fact, I love the way the author celebrates the intricacies of God's creation in the midst of all the mayhem. There's a real sense of reverence that comes though which I haven't seen before in a novel. Shaylee also has a habit of finding something to be grateful for in any situation which I found very inspiring.

Then there's Bugsy, Jamey's cadaver search dog with the happy-go-lucky, go-with-the-flow personality. She's handy to have by your side in a crisis plus she excels at sharing puppy kisses and canine comfort when the situation calls for it. Great multi-tasker is Bugsy. :-)

The intricacies of a suspenseful plot paired with the burgeoning (and adorably awkward at times) romance made this a read-in-one-sitting kind of book. Oh -- and the fact that it mostly takes place in a wilderness setting notched up my enjoyment that much more.

As a child I heard about a kidnapping victim who was buried alive, and I always thought it would be a horrible way to die. Sharee Stover’s newest book taps into that fear. This is a wonderful romantic suspense. The author has a knack for taking you on a roller coaster ride from despair to love. You won’t be disappointed if you choose to read this book!

This was an intense romantic suspense novel that hit the ground running and never let up! Trigger warning - if you're extremely claustrophobic, there are a couple of scenes that will make you a bit uncomfortable, including the opening, but once you get past the first few pages, you should be good to go. I actually had to set the book down a couple of times in the first few pages to regain my bearings. But that lends to the intensity of the plotline as well! This book follows Shaylee Adler, a detective who is convinced that her brother-in-law Baxter murdered her sister, but lack of evidence (or even a body) meant that he was never convicted. Jamey Dyer, forensic entomologist is discredited on the stand at Baxter's trial. He also wants to prove Baxter's guilt, but for a different reason. When the 2 find themselves having to work together to simply survive - and find themselves on the same side, the sparks also begin to fly. Add in a couple of cute canines and this book had a lot going for it. There was a great deal of intense action, several twists and turns and not knowing who to trust, and of course a romance. As a person who prefers the suspense element over the romance element, I found this one to be mostly balanced between the 2 until the end when the romance felt like it happened really fast, but that's a personal preference of mine. All in all, this was a good quick read that kept me on the edge of my seat turning pages. Special thanks to the author for an advance copy of this book. I was under no obligation to provide a review and the thoughts contained herein are my own.

This is my 6th Stover book completed and they just keep getting BETTER...EVERY...TIME!!
Detective Adler makes a dumb move at the beginning of the book and it nearly gets her killed, being trapped with a live roach has to be one of the worst things that can happen to a capable and experienced officer. SO NOT COOL.

THANKFULLY Jamie and Bugsy show up when they are needed most! However, the three of them are immediately placed in danger and it will take EACH of them working together to survive what happens next...and there again...and oh boy, do not fall asleep yet...

LOOOVED Bugsy, such a perfectly written fictional dog and TRULY loved how protective Jamie is of her! I just CANNOT handle animals being hurt in a story (movie or book) and Stover brilliantly had me turning pages without breaking my heart...although she can write clean suspense like a boss! Don't know how she continues to grip my heart in every story, but she succeeds every time and can't wait for her next story :)

Wow, this story is chock full of twists, turns and exciting moments! This book jumps right in and it doesn't let up. The mystery is solid, Jamey is a likable character and you can't help but feel for Shaylee as she tries to solve her sister's disappearance/possible murder. Then add in Bugsy and Echo-two adorable dogs who steal the story, and you have a story that's sure to please. Don't miss it!

Would you be able to stop reading a book when the first chapter revolves around someone being buried alive? Detective Shaylee Adler finds herself in this predicament and that's just the beginning of her problems. She soon finds herself on the run through the Black Hills National Forest, trying to escape unknown killers while avoiding the danger of sinkholes and gypsum mines in that South Dakota terrain. Thankfully, she isn't alone, because she's joined by a cadaver dog named Bugsy, a man dubbed Bug Dude, and a puppy named Echo. Will these unlikely partners be able to help Shaylee prove the guilt of her sister's killer? Shaylee's primary focus is proving her brother-in-law's guilt, but will she live long enough to find the evidence?

Author Sharee Stover shares an exciting, fast-paced story, with convincing characters plagued by emotional conflicts and physical struggles. Stover offers the twists and turns that are necessary for great suspense fiction, but she also succeeds in weaving a convincing faith message into her exciting plot. I recommend Tracking Concealed Evidence to all who enjoy romantic Christian suspense.

I don’t read much from Love Inspired Suspense, but I always enjoy this authors books. The characters are well done in this read, and the reader enjoys getting to know them and their quirks. Throughout the read, I find that I question all relationships. This is true in real life, and I do the same in my reads. In that respect, I’m much more like Jamie Dyer. Shaylee really trusts those with whom she feels she has built a solid relationship.

There are several fascinating factors on this book from bug facts to sink holes to a cadaver dog. The reader can learn some amazing things by reading this novel. I found the facts in this book very interesting.

The book has a very good faith theme element and it flows naturally through the two main characters. It’s nice to see Christian elements in a Christian Fiction book.

The pace and all that happens is pretty fast. A lot happens within very few days…that was the only problem I had with the story. I really enjoyed the read, characters, and all that I learned. I’d definitely recommend this book-good suspense read.

I received this book from the publisher. All opinions are my own.

Sharee Stover is a very gifted suspense author, Tracking Concealed Evidence, had me holding my breath for the first thirty-something pages. It's a page-turner!

Detective Shaylee Adler and entomologist Jamie Dyer are a brain-trust and force in criminology to be reckoned with. It was easy to see how much research Ms. Stover had completed as the scientific terms Jamie used were so well introduced into the storyline. It's not full of bugs, but has enough to give him credibility as a former forensic entomologist.

Read this novel with a big bowl of popcorn, this movie-like thriller will keep you very entertained. Don't forget the butter, you won't want to stop reading and get it from the fridge.

I received this book from the publisher, but was under no obligation to write nor post a review.

Exciting from page 1. Tracking Concealed Evidence has great characters that you want to love or hate. It has such vivid actions that anyone who doesn't like small spaces like caves and tunnels might be triggered when reading it. I was right and wrong about who I thought was the villain. Author Shared Stover pulled everything together logically. I recommend this book.

This one started out with a bang, and the characters grabbed my attention right away. The cold case involving the missing sister was interesting and the bad guy very devious. Nothing like having the heroine wake up from being buried alive to get the story off to a quick start!

As I read, things got even more intense, with a prolonged scene underground as well.

In the final third, though, the story began to fizzle and the events grew more unlikely and unbelievable so it ended at a solid three.

Overall, a pleasant way to spend a couple hours.

Detective Shaylee Adler is determined to find the evidence that will prove her brother in law, Baxter Heathcote, killed her sister, his wife, Zia. The problem is he has already been charged and found not guilty. Double jeopardy would be in play unless it is indisputable evidence.
Jamey Dyer is an Entomologist who had testified at Heathcote's trial, he testified for the prosecution and felt that the jury made a huge mistake in the not guilty verdict. When that trial was over he lost his job and became the "bug dude" and a joke among the police department. Jamey was so sure that Heathcote committed the crime, he and his search and recovery dog, Bugsy, spent their looking in the area that it is believed to be where he buried her. But was completely surprised when Bugsy indicated something buried but it was not Zia, it was someone buried alive.
He worked as quickly as possible to get the coffin free of dirt so he could get the person out asap. Once she was out he realized that she was Zia's sister, Detective Adler. Shaylee wakes up to see "bug dude" and his dog. Both have many questions the main one being how she ended up buried alive and who & why would someone do this?

I have thoroughly enjoyed this story. Thank you Sharee Stover for allowing me to participate as early reader.

At the end of Chapter Six, two of the main characters, Jamey and Shaylee, are attempting a harrowing escape. Jamey turns to Shaylee and says, “Is there any danger we haven’t faced today?” That sentence perfectly describes this storyline. This is one of those books in which there’s never a “good” place to stop reading. The opening of this book almost immediately made my heart thump, and from that point on, I was anxious to find out if Jamey and Shaylee could survive long enough to find the truth of who killed Shaylee’s sister. There were two twists in the plot that I did not see coming, and I was kept guessing until the final resolution came in the last chapter.

This is a page-turning story with lots of action and adventure, but what sets this story apart is the strong element of faith that plays out in the lives of both the main characters. Jamey encourages Shaylee with scripture at a time she needs it most and the characters stay true to their faith in the story. This story is suspenseful reading that always includes an element of hope.

Shaylee is a detective determined to find out what happened to her sister. Did she simply leave or was she killed? Jamey is an entomologist with his trusty cadaver dog sidekick, Bugsy with the same goal as Shaylee. I just love it when there are brainiacs in stories! Knowledge is so powerful when used for good! Although the two met briefly prior, this story starts with Jamey and Bugsy literally stumbling upon Shaylee...buried alive in a plexiglass coffin. You know with a start like that, it won't be a mild book! Aside from the fun bug facts scattered through this book, the other fun info that I learned was about the gypsum sinkholes that are in the Black Hills, where this story takes place. I had no idea there was even such a thing, but they are apparently very real. Very cool to incorporate real nature finds into fiction! One thing that I didn't like was towards the end of the story when the characters are transporting an unconsious gun shot victim. Without spoiling the storyline, it seemed to me that they were more concerned about getting to Bugsy than about the person who could potentially be bleeding to death, but that is my medically trained mind talking.
I definitely recommend this book if you like fast paced, clean, inspirational reads! I received a copy of this book from the author and an ecopy from Netgalley. That in no way influenced my opinions stated in this review.

The K-9 made this book great, Bugsy, Jamie's cadaver dog and Jamie are out looking for the body of a woman. He is a former forensic entomologist and is trying to salvage his reputation. The murder was dismissed as nothing. Jamie knows it wasn't nothing. While they are looking for a body, they discover, buried alive, Detective Shaylee Adle, the sister of the deceased. Shaylee is pretty sure her sister was murdered and that is why she was buried alive to get rid of her. Together with Jamie and Bugsy, they must find her sister's killer.

My review today is on the Love Inspired Suspense, Tracking Concealed Evidence. This book is well-written, action-packed, and full of drama. It's a great read and I know you are going to want a copy.

Former Forensic Entomologist Jamie Dyer is convinced he can find the senator's missing wife and salvage his reputation. He and his K-9 partner go into a restricted area, a sinkhole. Instead, he finds her sister buried alive in an acrylic coffin of sorts. Will the detective work with him? Can he keep her safe?

Detective Shaylee Adler wakes up in a plastic box buried in the dirt. She can hear animals try to get to her. She has no idea how ended up in an acrylic box but she does know who would do that to her. It had to be the senator, her brother-in-law. Had he buried her and left her to die? Is that what he did to her sister?

A terrifying journey to find the senator's wife and uncover a deadly conspiracy. God has a plan for these two a plan for hope and a future. God has a plan for you too. A plan for peace and not for destruction even in a time of political unrest, wars, and chaos. Give Him your heart and watch Him work in your life.

Sharee Stover continues to write exciting Love Inspired Suspense books.

This one is set in the Black Hills where the landscape is, in my opinion, kind of otherworldly already. That backdrop makes for some interesting things happening.

Jamie Dyer is a disgraced entomologist who is determined to get justice for the victim in the case that ended with him losing his job. As he and his cadaver dog are searching for clues near a recent sinkhole, he stumbles on the victim's sister, Detective Shaylee Adler, buried alive. They form a partnership to try and find the evidence needed to find justice for Shaylee's sister, Zia.

There is a corrupt politician husband, a naive intern/family friend, a police captain who believes Jamie and Shaylee, some romance, lots of that otherworldly landscape, and a faith that is strong. All elements that make for a slide into home plate just ahead of the ball kind of book.

What a page-turner!⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

Author Sharee Stover keeps readers on edge in Tracking Concealed Evidence!

The action in this book is nonstop, starting with the terrifying opening scene when Detective Shaylee Adler finds herself buried alive. Fortunately forensic “bug guy” Jamie Dyer and his dog come to the rescue. While the couple escapes many harrowing situations, their skills are complimentary as they work to piece together the clues to determine who killed Shaylee’s sister…..and discover who is now after them.

I found Shaylee and Jamie to be inspiring as they courageously faced high degrees of danger, but relied on their faith throughout the ordeals. The sweet developing romance…and the addition of a devoted dog and cute puppy, make this an enjoyable story. If you like THRILLING romantic suspense, I highly recommend Tracking Concealed Evidence!

I've read many books by Stover, and they never fail to hold my interest and keep me turning the pages. Her latest, Tracking Concealed Evidence, is no exception! There is a nice balance between the romance and suspense elements. Characters are well-crafted and relatable, the dialogue and scenes believable, and there are a few unexpected twists. Stover's latest is a fast-paced read that will keep the reader guessing.

One of my favorite quotes: "Dissension as thick as Grandma's sausage gravy hung between Shaylee and Jamey." (I just love the imagery!)
