Loved reading this extended epilogue of Jazzy and Ben. Jazzy is still insecure about anything having to do with a relationship with Ben. The chemistry between Ben and Jazzy is HOT and I am not sure why she would still have doubts. Ben is just trying to make it in the big leagues as a professional hockey player. He would give up everything to make Jazzy happy. With Jazzy trying to make it as a singer/songwriter, her insecurities keep coming back and she questions herself as to whether she really deserves Ben. Lots of back and forth and Ben just trying to assure Jazzy of his love. I received a free copy of this book via Hidden Gems ARC’s and am voluntarily leaving a review.

Perfect HEA for Jazzy and Ben!

I love this series! Out of all the characters, Ben and Jazzy were my favorite so of course I just at the chance to read more about them and I couldn’t be happier!!

Jazzy has made her dream to be a musician happen. But when her manager doesn’t know how to stay behind his line, will it cost her the only person who can calm her demons?

Ben is working hard as the rookie of his new NHL team and trying to get Jazzy to marry him and see his feelings about her new manager. Will the struggle of being the new guy and having his girlfriend prove to be to much for him? Will he lose the love of his life?

You will not regret this book! The cover of the book is just perfect and exactly how I imagined Jazzy to look! Stephanie Queen has made me so happy with this short story of Jazzy and her Unicorn Hockey Boy, Ben! I am voluntarily leaving this review after receiving a free copy.

Good ... but must read Best Man on Campus before this book

Hot Shot Rock Star is a novella that is part of the Big Men on Campus series and continues the story of Ben and Jazzy from the second book in the series, Best Man on Campus. As I had not read their original story I was not sure what to expect but I still dived in, as I have read other books in this series and by Stephanie Queen. So I am just going to say that I don't think this book works without first reading Ben and Jazzy's original story. But with that being said you can still enjoy the ride.
My rating is nothing to do with the actual book and story, but more because there is nothing in the book description that says you must read the first book before this one and as a result I was lost at times with this relationship.

Epilogue to Best Man on Campus
This is an extended epilogue to book 2 of the BMOC series. It is billed as a spinoff but it isn't spinning anywhere. It's just a look into the rocky relationship that Ben and Jazzy are living through. Their big time dreams are finally happening but who knows if it will cost them their happily ever after together.
The set up leads me to believe they are headed toward a breakup or to a wedding but it really leads nowhere. It's just a blip of their life that doesn't get a lot of resolution. It was sort of pointless and kind of frustrating.

(I received a complimentary copy of this book from Hidden Gems.)

I received a free ARC from Hidden Gems for the promise of an honest review.

It was okay. It was too short. I would recommend reading this right after reading Best Man On Campus which introduces Ben and Jazzy. This is like an extended epilogue. You will still like Ben and Jazzy. It was great to see that everything wasn't all rainbow and sunshine after they left college. It was great to see how they kept growing and howbthir relationship changed after college.

Ben and Jazzy still have that explosive chemistry between them. I loved revisiting them to see how they are coming along. I still love Ben though he needs to get a hold of his insecurities. Jazzy - no so much in this one. I understand insecurities; I felt she was a little bit of a doormat in this one. She was too naive about sleezeball Hal. Then it ended way too quick.

I voluntarily read and reviewed an advance copy of this book.

I voluntarily read and reviewed an ARC of this book. This short story is an extended epilogue of The Beat Man on Campus. You don't necessarily have to read that book first but would probably enjoy this book more if you did.
Ben and Jazzy are trying to navigate both being new in their big careers choices and making time for their relationship. Which should come first.
I enjoyed this book and hope we see more from them.

The author did a good job of setting up the conflicts arising as Jazzy and Ben navigate their relationship and their fledgling careers. However, I felt underwhelmed by the resolution in the last chapter--- it felt like she was wrapping everything up without actually wrapping things up.
I received an ARC and am voluntarily leaving an honest review.

You’ll want to read Best Man on Campus first to be sure… this is a spin-off of Ben and Jazzy’s story. We get a look into their struggles post college as he adjusts to life in the NHL and she tries to make her way as an indie pop star. Plenty of drama and chemistry and some tears as they figure out what’s really important.

More of Jazzy and Ben!

I was happy to get more of Jazzy and Ben. Their together but they still have doubts, him being the new guy in the school hockey team, her trying to get her singing career out. But through it all they are still together and no drama, distance will keep them apart. An enjoyable and quick addition to the series.

This is a great novella and follow up to Best Man on Campus. It’s a continuation of Ben And Jazzy a year later. She still has her insecurities which Ben still has to build her up. But in the end she realizes it’s Ben who make her more secure. It’s a HEA. I loved reading to find out it ended for them.
