Executioner's Enthrallment

Rate this book
Executioner’s years as a U.S. Marine have made him a hard, dangerous man no one wants to mess with. He uses that to carry out his job as enforcer for his club, the Ares’ Infidels.
While working with his brothers and an ally club, he visits a local business and has his world turned upside down. They’ve met before, but he had lost hope of ever finding her again. She’s tried to forget him and what he made her feel.
He’s incensed when he finds out the extortionists who targeted her family, made darker threats toward her. He’s determined she’ll be his and he’ll do whatever it takes to make that happen and to keep her and her family safe.

Skye’s life hasn’t been the best or easiest even before her dad left the family high and dry years ago. They battle daily to keep their little family afloat. A chance meeting with him is the last thing she expected or wanted. He needs to realize she’s not looking for a relationship.
She’s had hard lessons that taught her happily ever after isn’t in the cards for her. She keeps pushing him away while he keeps pushing closer. However, Executioner isn’t going to lose this fight. Even when she puts distance between them to protect her heart.
Something has to give, and it does. Her past comes to light. Her present takes a crazy turn. And her future is looking like it might be the best thing to ever happen to her. If she can let go of her fear and pain, she’ll forever be Executioner’s Enthrallment.

An avid reader with a passion for romances that finally got the chance to write one of her own. The rest is history. Not what anyone thought for someone who has been a nurse and in healthcare management for years.

I sit writing as my two fur babies, my pugs Kujo and Khaos, impatiently wait for me to get done so they can lay on me as their human sofa!

My children are finally considered to be adults, so it's me, the hubby and the dogs.

I'm a iced tea drinking fiend who has insomnia, more ideas than I know what to do with, and a need to write them down.

Not too bad for a girl from rural Ohio in the foothills of Appalachia that grew up in a town of about 4000 people.

Why on earth would anyone want to stay with this weak, stupid, annoying female? I wanted ex to ditch her before I finished the first chapter. I hate female leads who constantly doubt themselves and the men. Just leave them. Plus she kept running into danger because she was upset...let Darwin take care of that and move on.

This is the second time I've tried this writer, and based on this heroine...I can't say I'm excited to try more. I understand people need variety in character personalities, just like in real life. BUT GOOD GOSH! This heroine, Skye, used her lame past experiences as an excuse to treat Ex like complete trash. She is a terrible person. And if you're capable of writing this type of personality and think she deserves someone like him, what kind of future characters are you going to put out? She was rude, cruel, disrespectful and down right mean to him. This was emotional abuse. There was no excuse, no matter her past, to treat someone else, especially someone good to her like this. He should have RAN FAR AWAY from her.

Executioner met a woman who he couldn't forget only to find her again a month later. Executioner, along with his MC are investigating extortionists who are targeting local businesses for protection. Skye's Mothers flower shop is one of those businesses and Executioner is determined to keep her and her family protected, even if Skye doesn't want his help. Executioner knows Skye is his happily ever after, but she has trust issues, can Executioner keep her safe while convincing her he is worthy of her trust?

A bit angsty, there were times you wanted to shout at Skye, you get why she has trust issues but sometimes she was a little crazy about it. I liked Executioner a lot, he is an intriguing character who you want to know more about. Liked the other new characters introduced and can't wait for the next book.

I think the most interesting thing about this one was finally learning how Ex and Skye met, because you knew something had gone one before. To say the meeting was a great one is under selling it and it definitely colored their first interactions after they ran into each other again. I loved how Ex was all in, but Skye was so prickly, he really had to work to win her over. It started with Ex having a few frank talked with Skye's mom, which then put her firmly on his team. From there so much of their relationship was 1 step forward with 2 steps back. All of this going on while the club kept looking into what was going on around town. This time it centered around the extortion payments that Skye and her family was paying at the flower shop. While the guys were able to put a stop to things, they weren't able to learn much more. Although I do think that what Skye noticed with her former business client will come into play soon.

Hell what's with all this men? Claiming her as mine. I kind of like the sound of that.
I need my own biker. I've been saying it for years and this book just made me what it to happen more.
I loved this one. But one problem is solved another one just pops up. Can't wait to see what comes next.

I'm sorry, but NO!
I know this is fiction and all that, but seriously, if your Brother or friend ect had a girl like her, would you really support his wish to marry this women?
I wouldn't!
She doesn't trust him and needs a good psychiatric to heal, before anything else. I wouldn't want a woman, who could be gone every damn day, just because she thinks, she heard something or other. I'd become paranoid! And seriously he doesn't seem to be anything other than a doormat, who's constantly chasing his woman and apologising for things he didn't do... I wouldn't want to live like this...
Sad, because I really liked this book, until the "Omen call".

Usually love this series but found the two main characters irritating especially Skye. I found myself skipping to many pages. Loved the secondary characters. Looking forward to Omen.

I ADORE the series. But Lord have mercy, Skye just annoyed the shit out of me. I get the trauma and bladieblablabla, and maybe it’s because where I come from marriage is important but not this level. I mean actions speak so much louder than words, he was bloody giving her the world and she was blubbering over some stupid shit and not listening to him. I do not handle that well. Because I found her drama so annoying I kind of had difficulties with the book, which I hate because I like Ciara St James and as I said I adore this series. Maybe it’s a sign that Ciara St James is a good author, because she managed to make the characters come to life. This is definitely a ME issue, and not a book issue.

I had a hard time liking the FMC in this one. She was constantly yelling at and doubting the H well into 80% of the book. There was a reason for that, but the doubts went on and on and on. It got really old.
I'll give the next St. James book in the series a chance, but if the h is another whiney, shrill brat I'll just skip the rest.

Executioner

I really liked this installment of the series, but Skye is NOT my fave fmc. She was entirely too whiney & insecure. I actually felt bad for Ex having to deal with her hysterics

This was hard for me to finish, the h was just so unlikable. I ended up skimming a lot and at this point I’m torn with the remainder of the series because I need to know things so it’ll help with the other Author’s adjoining series. Maybe it’ll get better with the new books but for right now the couples are just extremely immature for their ages.

I am not going to finish this. 87% and I don't care what happens. It is too bad because there are a lot of characters that I really like. The story could be really good but Skye is just stupid. I can't take it anymore. Her actions ruined the story. I really liked Boss's story and Hook's. But this other club is just not for me.

I am enjoying this twin series offering from Ciara St. James (the Ares Infidels’ Motorcycle Club) and Cee Bowerman (Time Served Motorcycle Club). This one, about Executioner and his love interest, Skye, is as fine as I’ve come to expect from this highly entertaining team of talent. The two series are intertwined, although you could easily read one series without the other and can pick up any book, in any order and get reading pleasure from it. You do not need to follow the series in order, but will probably learn more about each of the captivating characters if you do.

Here’s the suggested reading order so far (as of November 2021):
Boss (Time Served MC) by Cee Bowerman
Sin’s Enticement (AIMC) by Ciara St. James
Hook (Time Served MC) by Cee Bowerman
Executioner’s Enthrallment (AIMC) by Ciara St. James
Chef (Time Served MC) by Cee Bowerman
Pitbull’s Enslavement (AIMC) by Ciara St. James
Preacher (Time Served MC) by Cee Bowerman
Omen’s Entrapment (AIMC) by Ciara St. James

Executioner’s story is the 2nd in the AIMC series and 4th in the combined series. I like these series, although I think it’s going to be hard to continue writing them: I’m afraid the storylines are going to become redundant, although I sincerely hope not because the writing is top notch and sincerely good; the characters make for a satisfying read.

Executioner, a former marine in the Marine Force Recon, meets Skye Fulton, her mother Jackie and two younger brothers, Tanner and Tyson. The family owns a business that is part of a running theme through all the books, extortion. It brings us closer to what’s going on in this small Texas town of Tenillo.

We also continue to get to know more of the members of both MCs and various townspeople, some not so nice. Two new prospects to the AIMC, Omen and Brennan, are introduced as well. Omen has a shared military history with Executioner and it looks as if he is going to bring a bit of Cajun mysticism [?] to the various schemes.

The plots continue to play out: human trafficking is suspected with more girls missing, drug running at the town schools and on the streets, extortion of local businesses, nefarious and untrustworthy members of Boss’ police force in Tenillo. We get closer to resolutions, but we aren’t there yet.

What makes these series so different is that you really can read any of the books in any order and enjoy them. There is enough information in each book to keep the reader from getting lost and to keep the tenacious reader attentive and invested.

I think, even after learning of her back story, Skye’s resistance to Executioner is a bit over the top and at times became obnoxious and at other times silly. It wasn’t that she shouldn’t have resisted him, just that her reasoning seemed forced, particularly when her family liked him and he exhibited no traits at all like her runaway, deadbeat father. Executioner was generous, kind to her and her family and gave no indication of being anything other than genuine. Skye, on the other hand, was unconscionably disrespectful and rude. She got through it at the end but I found myself scratching my head and wondering why Executioner was jumping through hoops for this ungrateful heroine. I hope Ms. St. James tones down the next club member’s love interest.

The second sexual encounter between Executioner and Skye was a little creepy. It was after dinner in her home, with her family (including two young brothers) right there in a small house with them in the next room. Just a bit…disturbing.

There are the expected (sigh) errors:
“…when we found him and was done with him….” Subject-verb agreement rules would have this state, “…when we found him and WERE done with him….”
“That’s what sacred me.” I’m pretty sure that should be “That’s what SCARED me.”
There are some awkward sentences like this one:
“…I’ve been tracing him and where he went and did after he left them….” I’m not sure what the writer is saying here, perhaps “…where he went and WHAT HE did….” (maybe?)

The problem with all errors is they draw the reader out and away from the story. We are effectively removed from the storyline and plopped into wondering what the writer is trying to say. Too many errors become wearisome which, over time, cuts into the enjoyment of reading a good book.

I look forward to more books and am eagerly awaiting the continuation of story plots involving thought-provoking and attention-holding characters. Got my fingers crossed here: this point is where so many series go astray. We know (almost) too much and are ready for resolution but the plots just seem to go on and on and on. Fascinating characters can keep our interest, for sure, but plots need to move right along and sizzle with the characters.

What is up with these terrible covers 🤨. That guy’s MC cut should say: DAD BODS MC.

The actual book: I did not like it.
Once again, the FMC was annoying af. Not for the entire book, but the way she acted through the climax and ending was annoying enough to destroy any good feeling I had towards her. In the beginning, I felt she was a duplicate of Lyric from Sin’s book. Same low self esteem and fatalistic attitude.
By the middle of the book I started to like her, and felt she was overall not as oblivious and stupid as Lyric. I especially liked
Towards the end is when it all went to shit. My opinion of Skye shot down and never got back up again. What in the FUCK.
Enough about that. Let’s talk about sex, baby. The sex scenes were ok, but I hate when a girl’s wetness is called “cream.” Ew. Quotes from this book: “he grunted in pleasure and lapped up all the cream gushing out of me.” “She was gleaming with the cream coming out of her.” “Coating my tongue in even more of her cream.” EW. Have they never SEEN actual cream? Milk cream? Cream is white, opaque, thicker than milk, sometimes has chunks. 🤮 Why is CREAM gushing out of her? She should see a doctor.

I am still going to continue with this Ares Infidels series. Damn it. 😔It’s all intertwined with Time Served, and I’m loving that series. Maybe I SHOULD’NT read more Ares Infidels.

I will say that I like how ruthless both clubs are with torture and punishment. Violence. It’s pretty unbelievable that they get away with so much outside of laws and regulations without seeming to put much effort into hiding anything, BUT I’m fine with suspending disbelief. (Although it makes me laugh to think of how noisy a bunch of motorcycles would be in the scenes where they’re doing something stealthy. And they use the back door, because no one would ever think to look in the back.)

LOVE how the two authors are working together on dynamic universe

I do NOT consider this to be a STAND-ALONE read. That is because there are two series, written by two authors, about two different MCs, that unite together to tell the readers about Tenillo, Texas. Therefore, for maximum reader satisfaction and to prevent spoilers, the first story (Boss from the Time Served MC) needs to be read first, followed by the second (Sin’s Enticement from the Aria’s Infidels MC) and the third (Hook from Time Served), and then this one about Executioner and Skye. That is because there are multiple reoccurring characters, overlapping / concurrent timelines and overarching themes.

Cee and Ciara are focused on telling us about the people that are determined to clean up and save their city from coercion, drugs, blackmail, extortion, murder and whatever other nefarious crimes are being committed in the shadows. So these need to be read in the recommended order weaving back and forth between the two series.

While these men and women are not afraid to get their hands dirty, it is to protect their family and town. They came together to form a better life where they could live together by a certain code that is protective of those they care about. These are not the stereotypical bikers that are themselves running drugs, guns, protection rackets, etc. They involve former military and ex-cons convicted under extenuating circumstances.

I discovered by accident Boss the first in the series about Time Served MC by Cee Bowerman, which lead me to Sin’s Enticement, the first in the series for Ares Infidels MC. These combine to build a dynamic and ever changing story universe with each new reveal and I for one am looking forward to the next in the series.

** If you have not read the previous stories in the series, the following may contain spoilers. There are numerous topics that are potential triggers for sensitive readers, so please review the examples listed below **

⛔️ Contains references to, or scenes detailing, subject matter that may be a trigger or offensive to some, including: adult language; derogatory terms; mental health challenges; steamy adult intimate scenes with dominance, submission, restraints, spanking for pleasure, “bottom” play, etc.; violence stereotypical of the genre such as kidnapping, abduction, murder, death, torture, assault, fighting, betrayal, coercion, blackmail, threats, subterfuge, money laundering, gun running, cheating, prostitution, human trafficking, mafia / cartels, drug use, drug manufacturing, drug distribution, as well as the mental, physical and sexual abuse of females and/or children, etc.

** Caution: Contains scenes with reference to, or detailed graphic violence against females and/or children that fit into the storyline, but may be a trigger for some **

There are very few grammatical issues primarily comprised of incorrect word tense, punctuation issues (I.e. extra inserted period), missed words and extra inserted words. I am mentioning these for readers such as myself that visualize the story as it is read, because errors interrupt the flow.

So far at 24% 5 Stars: Kindle Unlimited Read

I must star off by saying I'm only 24% into the story and have already started my review. Why you ask? Because I think it noteworthy enough to take the time out and just say, "Gather up your Kleenex's, ladies.!"

If stared off just like all the rest, I was sure I was going to experience another cocky biker with a big dick thinking every damn woman wanted him and he could have who ever he wanted. He fit the and little Miss was playing right along as hard to get (yeah right) after he already broke his massive cock off in her.

But low and behold, a softer, sweeter, loving and caring side has emerged from Executioner out of left field. And wouldn't you know it, little Miss Skye wasn't playing hard to get. She was playing a different game of I'm not getting burned by a man, they all a bag full of shit dick.

Now Executioner has went and not only claimed Skye as his, but has also claimed her mother and two young brothers as family. What does Executioner do, he takes care of what's his and his family too. Now he has Skye's mom on his side to get her to come around to his claiming. I am loving it!!

Yes, now that I have officially finished Space "Executioner" Ashton and Skye's story, I too find myself in an enthrallment.

Slave "Executioner" is my ideal perfect man. He is tender loving care when he needs to be and he hard as hell when the time calls for it.

I'm loving the AIMC!!!

Layers Peeps

As you already know by know now, "The Time Served MC" series by Gee Bowerman is written in tandem with the "Ares Infidel MC" series
by Ciara St. James.

Having said that I think I'm enjoying "The Time Served MC" series just a little bit better. But I like it best when ALL the boys come together. I'm heading out to read the next in this adventurous world.

TSMC & AIMC World Reading Order:
(1) Tenillo Guardians- Time Served MC #01: Boss
(2) Tenillo Guardians- Ares Infidels MC #01: Sin's Enticement
(3) Tenillo Guardians- Time Served MC #02: Hook
(4) Tenillo Guardians - Ares Infidels MC #02: Executioner's Enthrallment
(5) Tenillo Guardians- Time Served MC #03: Chef by Gee Bowerman

I will not be finishing this series.. it took me DAYS to finish this book and that's with me skipping all the sex scenes after the 1st one, AND each time the author gave a recap.
********************************************************

I was really excited to start this series after I read book 1 of Time Served MC and saw this was about Sin and his guys, since I LOVED the TSMC so much.

Book 1 of this series (Sin) was a bit slow but I figured that was just because the foundation was being built. I did not really like Lyric, she was immature and you didnt really get to know her or Sin well, which was awful because it was THEIR book!!
Although I found that book mediocre, I still tried this one because I was hoping it was a one-off and I really wanted to get the epic story between the two clubs and the two series.

This book was also a disappointment. Besides a shake up of the town drama, it was pretty much the same as book 1.
Skye was in NO WAY a likeable character! Not once did I even think she really loved Ex.. sure she was attracted to him sure, but nothing else was ever said.. or better yet, SHOWN.. he was going out of his way to pull her into his life and all she ever said was he must be cheating.
-(like Lyric) stubborn when faced with staying safe and AWAY from the drama.
-(like Lyric) jealous for NO REASON
-(like Lyric) threatens to leave because of her own insecurities

-The characters were not their own people, just copies of Lyric and Sin.
-the dialogue was boring and basically non-existent from secondary characters (which is lame when you have books planned for them coming up)
-85% of this (and book 1) were sex-which can be great, but WHERE IS THE ACTUAL STORY?!?!?
-5% of this (and book 1) was addressing new town drama
-5% of this (and book 1) was a recap of the previous book (and TSMC)
-5% of this (and book 1) was unnecessary relationship drama
-LOTSSSSSSSS of showing not telling...so boring!!
-the women are immature and irrational

Honestly I am so discouraged after reading this, I'm not even excited to read more of the TSMC and I LOVED that author's writing. I really wished I never even started this series.

3.5 ⭐️⭐️⭐️

Okay I loved Ex! He was the whole package! Hot as hell, loving, total badass and of course faithful and couldn’t keep his hands off his woman! If it was just for him I would have given the book 5 stars! However, I felt like some things were left unanswered! We never did find out anything about skyes dads whereabouts, and the end part there’s was a small bit about bens properties thrown in which I didn’t think was going to be answered, but what was said about it just felt rushed and thrown in like the author was just trying to wrap it up because she forgot about it…I figured it would have been more important with how many times the different properties were mentioned!

Now I hated Skye! I absolutely disliked her! She was not at all what I would have chosen for Ex! She was a whiny insecure ungrateful bitch! She pretty much denies him in the first part of the book even though she wants him, then when she does finally get with him she accuses him constantly of cheating on her! I get her dad was a cheating piece of shit but really! She was constantly trying and threatening to leave him even though he showed her repeatedly how devoted he was to her and how much he loved her! He was building her family a house right along with the one he was building for her on top of all the other things he did for her family! I really hated her! I was hoping that when she went off on one of her last tantrums like a 5 year old that he would have just walked away and made her do the chasing for once, but alas that did not happen!

So specifically because of skye and the fact that I felt like things were not resolved in this book I only gave it a 3.5 stars! I really wanted it to be more but at the end I just got tired of skye and her shit and was done with reading this one….I really hope the next one the woman is better cuz I really like this series! I can’t wait to read about omen and all his charming Cajun mysteriousness!

Two peas in a stubborn pod - one resists the other persists & my money is on persistence
Executioner’s Enthrallment (Tenillo Guardians AIMC Book 2) by Ciara St. James is awesome! Executioner wasn’t the only one enthralled. Executioner and Skye set this second book of the Ares Infidels Series aflame with fireworks in just about every way imaginable. Skye is no shrinking violet, but extremely vulnerable and super resistant (stubborn!) of Executioner’s every move, which fuels his never ending fire of determination (stubbornness!). And speaking of Executioner! This MC enforcer is one sexy self-assured alpha with oodles of protectiveness, possessiveness and persistence. He is solely focused on Skye, her safety too, and outright refuses to accept any and all of Skye’s rebuffs. In true MC style, he just tells her how it’s going to be, she just hasn’t accepted it yet. But she will (wink, wink).
The plot of this book has an air of suspense as well as the constant threat of danger surrounding Skye and her family. I love how the MCs featured in this series accepts and welcomes Skye, her mom and brothers into their protective fold no matter what is going on. All of these guys are good. Can’t wait for each of them to fall just as Sin and Executioner have. I enjoyed how more of the trouble plaguing their town is revealed even as bits of it is resolved, namely the threat to Skye’s family and the other businesses in Tenillo. There’s still more under the surface as there is so much going on in so many different ways.
Overall, Executioner’s persistence and determination pays off in this firestorm of a book featuring wonderful characters with an exciting and entertaining plot, curious cliff hangers that left me clamoring for more, along with an amazing, loving and promising HEA.
I read an ARC of this book and voluntarily share my review.

Hated Skye, immature and so melodramatic! Unrealistic plot again!

Here we go again. First book I really enjoyed, this book was terrible!

Skye is horrid. She’s so immature and constantly believing the worst of Ex. She overhears a conversation Ex is having with his friend Omen and totally misunderstands what he said. So instead of confronting him like an adult would do, she stomps off and hides!!! 😡😡😡 She’s had a bad childhood, blah blah. So have a lot of people and they don’t act like that! She’s so immature, at 23 her mother is still bossing her around, and telling her when they can go home from a party!!!

The plot is all over the place. They killed Marcos. Who is Marcos? Who killed him and why???? They’re supposedly terrified of the men taking protection money off them, and they have been threatened several times. So why, does Ex leave Skye and her mother alone at the shop, to get threatened and attacked?? Why are there no cameras up at the shop?? Or at their house? Then we have the whole dragging out a ‘who the bad man is’ story. When it is SO OBVIOUS YET AGAIN WHO IT IS!!! Skye has a huge clue in front of her, when she’s doing the business accounts for someone, and she completely ignores it.

The sex scenes are back to being repetitive. On and on and on. And I don’t know if this is just me. But it actually makes me feel sick when the man talks about her ‘cream!’ 🤮🤮🤮 So gross. Can’t he just say you’re so wet??? Like every other book!!! Talking about gross. Please let them have a wash after anal sex, and Ex says they’re dirty but he’s too tired to get up!! 🤮🤮🤮 Yuk!!! It instantly turns a hot sex scene into something that really isn’t sexy at all!!!

Please let the next book be better…….

Lots of potential

This could've been 5 stars.

Everything was pretty much perfect until we got towards the end. If insecure and jumping to the wrong conclusion was a person it would be Skye. She didn't really get to me until the end when she needed to be rational the most.

I did not like how Skye assumed Ex cheated on her AGAIN after running out on him the first time. Prior to that she existed on the perilously thin line between a passionate hormonal pregnant woman and batshit crazy, that moment of irrationality pushed her over to the crazy side.

I refuse to believe she was upset just because Ex didn't ask her to marry him as well. The man has just built you TWO houses on his MC compound just so you and your family could be near him, im not sure how she thought he was still hatching an escape plan after that lol

Aside from Skye getting on my last nerve at the end, I was a little miffed about the story development. I understand this will probably be brought up the next book but I feel like there was such a big build up towards the Bentley Real Estate & Skye's father then the book ends. It left me annoyed and coupled with Skye's moment of insanity, I was not satisfied with the books ending.

Overall the book was captivating from the beginning to the end. Sub characters were a relief and more liable than the main characters. I look forward to Omens book. Skye had a great sense of humour and fiestiness when she wasn't being hysterical, so I really hope Jackie gets justice.

Ex was a saint in my opinion and a total hottie. I look forward to reading more from this series.

Things are definitely pickin up around Tenillo.
This was such a good read.
I loved getting the full scoop on what’s been goin on with Ex and Skye.
Like with Sin and Hook’s books we go a bit in the past from where we left off at the end of Hook’s. Filling in all the details we weren’t privy to from the other character’s perspectives. Then we catch up and that’s when the fun starts. So definitely don’t skip Boss’, Sin’s, or Hook’s books before reading so that you can get the full scope of the situation.

I really enjoyed learning more about these characters, but I have to say that I hope the other guys’ girls Ciara writes don’t have the same insecurities as Lyric and Skye. I much prefer the badassery of Jenn and Paula over the constant doubt and jealousy and running.
Just like Lyric, Skye does grow a little and start trusting more. But I’m just not a fan of that type of attitude. It gets old and annoying to read that over and over. But thankfully it wasn’t something that ruined the whole book for me.

The action, sex and relationship growth in this book were fantastic. We’re starting to see real results with the 2 clubs’ goal of finding out who’s fuckin with their town and cleaning it up.
The sex was hot and steamy with just the right amount of dirty. Though I’d say, not as hot as I personally found some of the other books. I still appreciated the variety and passion.
And the way Ex never faltered, always pushing Skye to stay and talk and believe in him was so sweet. You could really see how much he loves her.

I can’t wait to see what’s happening next.
I’m so glad I starting reading these interconnected series

One of the worst FMC’s ever. This book was everything I can’t stand rolled into a single book: bratty, whiny, immature FMC. Insta love. Oopsie pregnancy. And miscommunication.

Ex needed to run, and run far, far away from this train wreck of a FMC. Skye was insecure, immature and a brat. The bullshit reasons for constantly accusing him of cheating which were ALL miscommunications, were also bullshit. Daddy issues. But they were so weak and unrealistic.

She was painted as a strong woman. A strong women would not have those daddy issues. I mean her comment that men are meant to be free and women hold them down? What a joke. If the dad was a dick and hated the kids, why did he stay with the mum and get 3 kids? Then run. Pfft. And the throw away that he secretly hit Skye behind Jackie’s back? There is no lead up to that, there is no dialogue about it. It’s one sentence and never spoken of or mentioned again. Total excuse for being a stupid dickhead.

Then she constantly overhears him but instead of being “strong” she takes off running. Hanging up on him like a 13 year old.

And his MC brothers- why were they not telling him to get away from this walking red flag? Not very good brothers.

Ex you e been warned my friend. Your life is now screwed from this walking head case.

Way too much drama in this one- and she’s front and centre of it all. Sorry but she was so unlikable. This author is not great. Two books now and they’re both hard to stomach. This one way worse than Sin’s book.

Executioner is the enforcer of the Ares’ Infidels MC. His life has been going as he wanted it to until a one-night stand changed his mind on how his life was going and where he was headed. The woman that he met in the bar that night left a last impression on Executioner and when she was gone the next morning, he had no way of finding her again.

Skye’s family is trying to stay above water and keep their flower shop open and their bills paid, but when there is someone that is threatening their livelihood, they aren’t sure how they’re going to keep their business open and their family safe. When she has the chance to go to Dallas to meet with a business associate, she finds herself having a night that she will never forget, too bad that night finds her again when the Ares Infidels try to help the town businesses avoid the extortionists in their small town.

I was so happy to read Executioner and Skye’s story. Skye’s past causes more trouble for these two than it should. It’s too bad that her mind is so set that all men are the same and it takes so long for her to give Executioner the chance to prove to her that he loves her and is not like her father. I love the Ares Infidels and these stories are fun to read. There is a lot of action, danger, and the women bring the softness as well as the humor these guys need in their lives. I give this story a 5-star review and am looking forward to more of the series to come as well as the Time Served series.

This is the 4th book in the Tenillo Guardians series but the 2nd Ares Infidels MC book. Things are heating up in the not so sleepy town of Tenillo, Texas. Executioner met and had an unforgettable night with a woman while out of town. He woke up the next morning wanting more but the woman had vanished without a trace. With no name, no address he had no chance but get back to work helping the businesses in Tenillo that are being terrorized by an unknown gang. While checking in with the various businesses he comes across the woman of his dreams. Skye is a spitfire with a lot of baggage. The chemistry between Executioner and Skye is off the charts. Ex not only has to keep Skye, her mom and brothers safe, he also needs convince Skye that he will be there for her always.

This is yet another story of a wonderfully strong woman who meet and fall for strong, protective alpha male. Ciara weaves quite the intriguing tale. While Tenillo, Texas seems like your average quiet small town there looks to be a lot going on under the surface.

A fantastic 4th book of this new series. The series alternates between the Time Served MC (by Cee Bowerman) and the Ares Infidels MC (written by Ciara St James). Next up will the next book about the Time Served MC by Cee Bowerman. I can’t wait for all the rest of the stories and if I could; I’d live in Tenillo, TX.

Niggles on some plotlines, but entertsining

This story continues the various plots, loved and loved of the Ares Infidel MC members with the addition of the Time Served ND brothers.

I enjoyed the story, but the dragging of the plot is beginning to vote me a little. This is the fourth book in the series I have read and while each is about a different character, the same plot continues.

Secondly, I didn't particularly like Skye's character very much. I found her quick to misjudge after eavesdropping twice and causing panic.

Thirdly, I feel frustration at the sweetness of it all, which sounds ridiculous when there is violence in the book. However no character challenges anything.
Surely (slight spoiler alert here) a mother would not simply agree amicably for her young teenage sons living and venturing on to premises where 'bunnies' live and entertain the MC brothers?

Where was the huge row between Skye and Slade after her first eavesdropping? We only get an 'ok' when an explanation is received.

The sex is too repetitive and boring now.

Yes I have niggles, but while I want romance, a slight bit of realism would not come amiss. I will still continue to read the next in the series (although I think I have figured it out). Just to get my fix on these buff bikers.

This one was ok for myself. Not my favorite. Skye kind of got on my nerves. She kept running and I don't think her insecurities warranted it enough. I mean she was this strong fierce protector of her family but she had one big hangup for myself. I mean it was warranted to some extent but not running twice.
And don't get me wrong I know I read these books and stories for some of the sex scenes but they are getting predictable. I mean they are hot AF sex scenes but seem the same too.
I've read all of Ciara's books and I'll keep reading her books but this just wasn't a favorite of mine sorry.
I guess I just didn't get into the characters for some reason.
Just because it wasn't my favorite doesn't mean it wasn't or won't be someone else's.
Do I recommend this book? yes I do. I recommend all her books in all her series.
I think I'm wanting more grit, and not just in the MC Club members getting their answers the way they do in the Gallows but from the women too. I like darker I guess.
Like I said I will be reading more from this author and do recommend all her books and series.

Skye Fulton and ‘Slade’ Executioner Axton met in a Ft. Worth bar a month ago, shared their night without exchanging names but memories of their night and each other. In their small world, Skye’s teen brother, a student of the MC’s prez’ lady and one she thinks has information that can help them clean up the rampant drug and extortion schemes around town.

Now that Ex had a name and address for Skye he had no intention of letting Skye walk out of his life the way she’d walked out of the hotel room last month. Ex, his team and the new police chief are anxious to put a dent in the drug trafficking, but their plan backfires as Ex struggles to convince Skye how serious he is about her.

To my taste, this outing doesn’t rise above mediocre, I was prepared to leave my brain at the door but wasn’t ready for such an immature romance, especially given the 15years (or so) age difference. Despite there only being one more read to complete this series, I’m not sure I can go there.

Soulmates

Such a powerful, emotional, and full filling book by St James. I really liked Executioner/Slade. He was strong, loving, powerful, and one of the best " in love " characters in an MC book that I have read.

When Slade walked into a bar one night, he notices Skye right away. Slade also notices how other men and women watch her. She is indeed a beautiful woman. Sky's also notices how the women look at Slade. Overcome with these thoughts, she does not noticed he has moved until he is in front of her speaking. Skye has never been tempted to have a one night stand until that night. She surprises herself by going with him. When she wakes up in the morning she does not know what to do, or say. She leaves before he awakes.

A few months later their paths cross when a string of crimes threatens the towns businesses. Slade cannot believe his luck. Skye is too busy trying to ignore him so her family does not know what occurred between them.

I recommend this book! Skye and Slade are great characters, and the MC is very likeable. This book just made sense!

I recently finished Ciara St James' Executioner's Enthrallment.

I enjoyed the characters, even though she frustrated me; most guys in real life would not put up with her behaviour, which was at times extremely irritating.

The story kept my attention and was true to the MC genre.

I liked his character but was not a big fan of hers.

Although I thought that nothing was resolved at the end of the story, it flowed smoothly. I understand that the style is different because it was written by two authors, and that the events in this book will continue in the cross-over series.... I just felt like the plot was building and building, as if something major was going to happen, but it didn't. Nothing was resolved.

It's a difficult one. I'll keep reading both authors in the cross-over series to see what happens; I hope the remaining books give me a compelling reason to want to keep reading them.
